In honor of St. Patrick’s Day and a recent trip to amazing Ireland (a long-time dream come true), I thought I’d share one of my postcards with you -- 

Hello from the Cliffs of Moher! Here are a few photos from our hike along a steep and muddy trail. The sunlight, gusts of wind, and ocean spray are incredibly wild, beautiful, and strong. We met friendly horses on the drive over, too. What an amazing and incomparable place, the best I've been lucky to visit, and hope you get to someday, too -- I'll come with!

Water gets warmer, Drinks get cooler Nights get longer, Music gets louder, and Life gets better...

Changes are happening here, too -- Website is undergoing renovation (please bear with the evolving look), and for the first time in my life, I will be travelling through some beautiful places in Western Europe.

Holiday Greetings, Everyone! I came across this piece of paper a few days before my 30th birthday this year -- which just so happened to fall on Thanksgiving Day! (30 on Thanksgiving: I consider this to be a blessing..!) 

This slip of paper was from one of the writing games my friends passed around the table at my 29th birthday last year. It reads: Arlene, for your bday I would like to give you something special. And something you never ever thought you could afford APPEARED IN YOUR CAR WHEN I yelled, "I need tacos." I'm moving to Mexico I love it for its wonderful absurdity and the surprising distractedness of 'the Giver' at the end. It still continues to make me laugh. But now, what makes this even more great, is that I've recently been accepted to an Artist Residency in Mexico! Absurdity, indeed!

One year ago, I never would have dreamed nor imagined an opportunity like this to have happened (let alone all of the amazing experiences I've had since then). What a fabulous way to kick-off 30. I am so thrilled, honored, and grateful for receiving this invitation, and for the terrific life and year I am blessed to be living. (Thank you, universe!)

Annnd, that's a wrap! Here we are at the end of filming "Give Me Back My Body, I'll Return Your Soul," the performance / video installation for Jumaadi's exhibit at the Halsey. I'll include more about my puppeteering experience in a future post.

Jumaadi at the Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art, Charleston SC

Here's a photo I took from one of our final rehearsals. Working so closely with Jumaadi, Geoff, and other talented souls has made me feel very inspired and grateful over the past few weeks.

Come to the Jumaadi + Picasso (yes, that Picasso :) ) exhibit at the Halsey. Opens today, Friday, October 17th, and on view through December 6, 2014.

A wedding veil I made for a darling and dear friend of mine. Ivory French Silk Tulle sourced from Israel, two rows of horsehair braid, invisible thread, and my first time with all of these materials and techniques!

Chelsey and Dan's Wedding was one of the most beautiful, dancey, and romantic I've ever been to. I am so thankful to have been a part of it, and grateful to have such wonderful people and love in my life.
