She could hear him calling out for her, the rubble on her was heavy but moveable. She felt the worry deep in her chest, the sound of his voice told her all she needed to know. He worried for her, he was worried she had been lost, another casualty of the wasteland. Something in his voice gave her strength and she had pushed the rubble off her, standing up, hand on her gun.
Before she knew it, his arm was around her, lips on hers, pressing a kiss to her lips. There was such passion, a need she hadn't felt before. There was a warmth, the kiss meant more than words ever had. The kiss made her brain start to swirl, something in it told her more than she could have ever dreamed of. Then as quickly as they had pressed to hers, they pulled away, yet his arm still lingered around him. She wrapped her arms around him, looking into his eyes. "I.. yes.." She blushed brightly. "I.. don't even know what happened." Her mind still on the kiss, stuck on the fact that he had kissed in. Not that she hadn't thought about it before, but she never thought he would kiss her. "You.. kissed me.."
"The structure of this building is shit. I'm surprised it held as long as it did." The Ghoul looked at her a moment, his own thoughts clouded just by the sheer relief she wasn't hurt. "Yeah, I guess I did." He commented, looking her over he brushed some debris off her shoulder. Taking a breath, the Ghoul looked at her softly, brushing some of her hair out of her face, still holding her. "Look, this don't got to be anythin. . .I was just so relieved you were okay and it just sorta. . .happened."
Jesus Christ he felt stupid, what person in their right mind would want, well, him? He was an over 200 year old irradiated meat sack, no nose, a fucking temper like no ones business. But here he was, babbling like a fucking school boy because he let his judgement get the better of him and he kissed the pretty girl.
He had been rattling on for a while, looking down on her from his high horse as usual. He had been making comparisons as if he knew her better than he did. A large part of her wanted to be indignant and prove he didn't know her. But a large part of her also knew he was correct. She had only been out here in the wasteland for a few days and already gotten herself into several different tight spaces. Then he came along, like some Knight in a fairytale. "Because you are right.." she took a deep breath. "Because I don't want to die out here.. but I also don't want to die in the Vaults." She pulled away from him, breaking the kiss, letting go of his coat.
He hadn't been kissed in at least 200 years, the sensation had startled him more than he cared to admit. It wasn't wise to fall in love out here, sooner or later, your ticket will be punched, and things like romance just got in the way of things. But if he were honest, he could admit he could see himself falling for her. As stubborn as she could be, Lucy was a fighter, albeit a naïve one. She stuck to her beliefs even when it was detrimental to, well, everyone. Hearing her admit he was right caught him off guard, looking at her after she broke from the kiss, he took his hat off a moment and ran a hand over his scarred head. "I wasn't always such an asshole, you know." He offered, if she was admitting things, he could share with her the same courtesy. "I know I'm hard on you. Short tempered. I could go on forever." He looked at her and said, "but I'm only that way because I don't want to see you get put through the grinder out here. I---" Taking a moment, he said, "I just worry."
