the witch was all smiles as she walked around the little shops on the island. there was so much that she could see and experience. it was all so beautiful and something sapphire knew she could never get enough of, a part of her hoped that she would never have to leave the island and could just explore everything and see everything that she could. she accidentally bumped into someone since she was busy looking at the ocean instead of in front of her. “i’m so sorry.” the brunette apologized.

“Oh, damn...” the brunette lamented when the very last bite of her brownie fell to the floor with the bump to her side. “It’s alright. It was probably for the best. I don’t think eating so many junk food is going to do me any good,” she said with pursed lips. “Even though that was soooo good,” she laughed, shaking her head at her own ridiculousness. “You good, I didn’t distract you from where you were going?”

ariana was at awe with the whole market thing. the princess had never seen something like this in person before. she had tried to sneak out of her home growing up with there were some markets happening around the town she grew up in, but her parents or guards usually caught her before she was able to reach it. the girl had two bags full of items she had picked up so far and wasn’t planning on stopping any time soon. “this whole thing is just amazing and wonderful, like i didn’t think this island could get better.”

“I see you’re taking full advantage,” Allie said as she too had her fair share of new items in tow along with a tuxedo brownie square in hand. Open air markets always seemed ten times more appealing to her than shopping malls or independent stores. “I thought I’d gone to my share of shops on the island but I’m running into new shops here. I’m kind of convinced they’re just splitting into new, smaller stalls.”

Cooper’s eyes watched her move - okay, maybe on a specific part of her as she excused herself and he sat up a little stiffer. When she came back, she had more libations and he had a look of approval on his face. “I think you just became my favorite person here,” he said. Carefully - both because of his inebriation as well as still learning who, or what, everyone was, he patted the sofa cushion beside him, rather than leave her sitting over on the opposite chair while they drank. “Not Disney approved?” he asked, raising an eyebrow as he moved his own shot glass closer to the bottle. “Well, you look like a princess, but I can imagine that you’re more than meets the eye. Do I just come out and ask what Grimm’s Fairy Tale you belong with?” 

“Oh a princess, hm?” Allie hummed, moving her hand over her heart with a grin as she took a seat. “Keep that up and that’ll get you everywhere...” she said with a chuckle. The woman gave him an inquisitive look as she threw back her own shot. She could guess he was human, his clear intrigue evidence enough for her. Filing up both of their shot glasses, she tilted her head to the side. “I kind of what you make you guess, see what you come up with. Though I’ll give you more of a clearer clue - think Greek so-called myths.” Allie said wriggling her brows at him. “I’m Allie, by the way. You should know your new favorite person’s name.”

“Oh yeah I’m fine. I’m just happy I didn’t take you down when I ran into you.” He responded with a shy smile as he tried to get over his embarrassment. The girl seemed really nice and that made him feel better. He was happy she seemed so understanding about it. “I guess I need to learn how to pay attention. I’m pretty clumsy in general so you would think I would have learned by now. I’m Rowan by the way. Nice to meet you even though I almost knocked you over.”

“Clumsy, huh?” Allie laughed and shook he head. He was sweet enough, she observed. “No harm, no foul. Promise, you’re totally fine.” she said. Holding her hand out for him to shake, the woman grinned. “Allie. It’s nice to meet you Rowan. How about we go for a drink? Unless you’re off to somewhere super important,” she teased good-naturedly.

      he didn’t slow his tempo in removing his clothing, even though he had acquired company to entertain. in fact, he admired her honesty, the wolfish grin across her tiers. it brought a smile to rider’s face as well and while he shucked his shoes and socks he nodded toward the ocean, “ you’re a charmer, aren’t you? — you heading in too, or just one of those sun bathers. ” if he’d ever had the opportunity to go to the beach when he was alive, he’d never have spent it only soaking in the sun. it seemed like a waste.

“That’s certainly one way to put it,” she lilted and winked at his comment of her being a charmer, shimmying off her shorts and carefully placing them next to her sandals with her towel and bag right next to them. Allie walked into the ocean, standing at the edge of the water for a moment to get used to the cool temperature, and turned to face him. “If I’m going to get sunburned it’s going to be because I’m in the water,” she said wading in to her waist. “Plus I’m too impatient to just lay there and...do nothing, you know.” The brunette shrugged falling back into the water with a sigh.

One might think that it’d take a nation to corral so many animals at once. Not to Beau, though. Not when he had each animal on their respective leash - dogs and cat alike. That being said, some of the critters were more well mannered than others. Namely how Brick had the demeanor of a child hyped up on sugar at all times. 

Beau nearly had his arm yanked out of it’s socket when the pitbull gave a sudden lurch. “Bri-” The rest of the name got lodged in his throat when the leash was torn from his grip. Off the dog went into the horizon - down the sandy beach and right into the waves headfirst. Alarmed, he immediately gave chase with Holden and Apricot in tow. 

By the time he reached the vagabond canine, Brick had waddled out of the water and stopped short to shake the water off. Beau rushed in to crouch as he slung a towel over his dog, worry creased every detail of his features. Now, if he had been the only person within the vicinity then it would’ve been fine. Except he wans’t. Whether or not the other person got wet didn’t matter - an apology tumbled out at lightening speed before he even lifted his gaze up to them. “I’m so sorry- ain’t got a clue what got into him.”

The blur of fur flew by her and Allie couldn’t help but feel the giddiness of seeing a dog, a puppy in her eyes, enjoy the water. It was enough to make her day even if she was splashed on the pup’s way into the water. “Are you kidding me?” She asked the man who’d diligently began drying the dog as she knelt beside him. “I, too, dive head first into the ocean. I mean, it’s the only way to do it. Right, bud?” She said addressing the last bit to the pup clicking her tongue. “Seriously though, it’s absolutely fine. No harm done,” Allie said not paying any mind to her damp clothes. “He just beat me to getting into the water.”

THE HYBRID’S EYES LIT up more when the other mentioned mountain climbing. “ no, mountain climbing sounds amazing! climbing to the top of the island would be an amazing way to kickstart this vacation. ”

“That’s what I’m saying,” Allie grinned, wiggling her brows at the younger woman. “I’m always looking for someone to go with me. If you’re down, we can pick a day.”

His eyes roved over to her. And damn was she incredibly attractive in so many ways! He’d managed to meet some cute girls while he had been here, but she was on a whole different level in his opinion. So Cooper focused in on her words (otherwise in his current state he might have focused elsewhere and been considered rude). “So maybe we’re talking about puzzle pieces that just fit together. There’s something about one person that is just appealing and works for someone else. This makes sense to me.” It didn’t completely, still, but maybe she was right. Maybe it was just to try it out and see where things fell when he met that ‘certain someone’. “Oh yeah…” He said, angling his head back towards the half full bottle. “Grab it and catch up,” suggested Cooper. “There’s more where that came from. I’ve got a few hours head start on you, though,” he added with a hint of a smile. 

“It really doesn’t though,” Allie replied laughing, “it barely makes sense to me and I said it. Just goes to show I’m just beating my gums.” The brunette grinned with a quick shrug. Glancing once again at the empty bottles, she hummed while she took a quick swig of the bottle. “Seems like I may just have to get something a bit stronger,” she commented pursing her lips, “You know, just to catch up a little quicker.” She proposed holding up a finger to let him know she’ll be right back. Returning with a bottle of tequila and two shot glasses, she gave the bottle a bit of a shake before setting it on the coffee table between them and sliding a glass over his way. “But onto the fairy tale thing, I can pretty much assure you that some of us aren’t hashtag Disney approved,” the siren chuckled with her brows raised. “Now if we’re talking about the Brother’s Grimm version of fairytales, then yeah maybe.” She divulged knowing her own species wasn’t portrayed too well.

so sorry for being MIA. I had family over all weekend but i will work on replies tomorrow during work (I’ll answer starters as well!) and post them up tomorrow night. Night everyone!

“So you know this concept of ‘star crossed love’ and what not is a bit fairy tale, right?” Cooper asked, laying back on the sofa in the common area, bowl of popcorn balanced on his stomach. “I mean, we all dream and wish for such things, but while the ‘stars’ might have something in mind, how much of free will comes into play there? Can you actively just… ignore… the call or feeling some need to be with this person?” Cooper asked. “Then again, I suppose if we’re talking fairy tales, we’re currently on a magic island full of fairy tale characters.” Seemed that he was waxing poetic tonight, as evident by the few empty wine bottles sitting on the table beside his head. A third was half full still.

“Well, let’s go a little more logical,” Allie posed, shifting to sit more comfortably closing her laptop to focus on the conversation. “Everything comes to be because of something else. So I think that there must be a reason, some scientific explanation, for the marks we have. Maybe something in our genetic make up that makes us compatible with someone else.” The brunette voiced the same thing she told herself - there has to be some logical explanation. At least, in her mind that was what she told herself to make it all semi acceptable. “Then again it could all just be some big joke from the universe. Like “Let’s see how these dummies react to these marks.” One big ol’ joke,” Allie lilted shrugging her shoulders a bit. “I think I need to get on your level to tap into those deep dive thoughts,” she added with a grin, wiggling her brows towards the empty bottles.

Rowan had been excited upon receiving the letter claiming he had a soulmate. He hadn’t wasted any time making arrangements to come to the island. Though he was incredibly nervous and infinitely shy he had been convinced that anyone who could be his soulmate would like those things about him. He had arrived a few days earlier and had admittedly spent most of that time in his room waiting to see if his person would even show up. The waiting was killing him though and he finally decided it was time to go out and meet some people and stop being such a hermit. He had spent so much time convincing himself to leave the room that he didn’t pay any attention as he rushed out of it nearly making the person walking by fall over. “I’m so sorry I wasn’t watching where I was going. Are you okay?”

“Uff!” was the first sound out of Allie’s mouth as she stumbled back. Her first instinct was to immediately start laughing, her defense mechanism when she felt even the slightest bit embarrassed. “I’m fine! Promise,” she managed between chuckles. “Honestly I’m even surprised I didn’t actually eat it right now.” She admitted given how, without fail, she always fell in a new place. “You seem to be a bit distracted though, you okay?” Allie questioned peering at him curiously.

“ HOW ABOUT WE IGNORE the fact that we’re supposed to be meeting our so-called soulmates and find something actually exciting to do on this island? ” the hybrid spoke up, directing her question at the first person she saw. she waved the paper in her hand. “ i have this handy brochure that outlines a few ideas. can i suggest jet skiing or the lazy river? ”

Giving her a guarded look, head tilted slightly back. “You looking for an adventure?” Allie asked somewhat cryptically. “Because I’m looking for a mountain climbing buddy or buddies,” the siren said chucking, “I’m sorry I thought that would be funny. The mountain claiming bit is true however I am about that jet ski life.” Allie clarified.

      in all of his life, he’d never seen a beach. it was amazing that something so simple could at least half-erase the dour expression wrought on his face, but rider would surely sink back into the old and familiar after long. but for now, as the sun began to sink down the horizon and painted the sky a lovely array of purples and pinks, he’d settle for that crystal-clear bath water. his fingers reached for the hem of his shirt, peeling the fabric over his head and dispensing of it beside him somewhere. eyes caught the nearby company, and heavy accent lilted, “ not that i’d mind the staring, but it’d probably be less awkward if you went in, too. ”

Allie has been on the island all of two days and the majority of those days had been spent turning into a human prune. Just as she’d set her things on the ground, she caught sight of someone else. So what if she was there to find her soulmate? It doesn’t necessarily mean that she couldn’t look. ...and get caught. “I mean, I will. I was simply taking it all in,” Allie said with a raised brow unable to suppress her grin.

Hey ya’ll! I’m just now getting home from work so forgive me if this is all jumbled. I’ll go over it tomorrow but here’s a bit about Allie Rose Maris. TW: brief mention of drugs.

She was born and raised in a beach town in Texas — Corpus Christi. She grew up in very freeing home with a lot of liberty to do as she pleased. She had a pretty happy childhood, spoiled by her parents and constantly at the beach - because what was there to do when the nearest big city was more than 45 minutes away?

She didn’t actually hold back in anything, always giving her all in everything she did and at 18, that meant spreading her wings and moving to Austin, TX. 

That was when she was met with her first speed bump - as everyone does in their life. Allie's luck seemed to have gone down hill then. She didn’t have much of a plan other than community college.

She got swept up in the college town lifestyle of house parties, drinking, and the complicated relationships. And boy did her relationships get complicated or rather, relationship. For the better part of her early twenties, Allie was stuck in a rut of a relationship where she blindly did everything for her partner and got nothing in return.

During her time in Austin and in one of her very depressive lows, she turned first to the negatives in her life - more drinking, dabbing in drugs. 

She was in a slump and ironically, it was the first time in her life that she felt like she was drowning. 

Allie was able to pull herself from the situation she was in with the help of friends and family. Her life seemed to be on the up and up, getting a few gigs here and there shooting graduation pictures but it was still very routine for her liking. 

She was itching for the freedom she grew up with and the opportunity of heading to Amor Isle couldn’t have come at a better time. 

She doesn’t exactly know what to expect but she’s there with an open mind.
