The Devouring of Asmodeus: An FWC / FF7 Crossover FIC

The Abyssal vault stank of vaporized copper, ozone, and the sour grease of open viscera.
High above the slaughter, suspended on a single, vast wing of red, Safer-Sephiroth hovered. He was an ethereal monument to detachment. His angelic visage was cold, and his interlocking halos of cosmic energy casting long, jagged shadows across the broken obsidian floor.
He did not interfere. He was the anchor, and he was the quiet observer watching the inevitable violent mechanics of a divine execution.
Below him, the universe devolved into pure, animalistic carnage.
Asmodeus was no longer the sleek, aristocratic Prince of Hell. He had bloated into a colossal, grotesque horror: a ninety-foot draconic abomination of overlapping obsidian scales, each one etched with squirming, golden runes that leaked acrid smoke.
Dozens of reptilian and human eyes bubbled frantically across his snout and throat, blinking in blind terror. From his spine, slick, barbed tendrils whipped through the stagnant air, lashing out in desperate, frantic arcs.
Above him, Bianca descended. She was fifty-five feet of draconic majesty and cosmic horror: a twenty-thousand-pound nightmare of charcoal-black and deep-purple plumage. Her vast, writhing wingspan stretched over two hundred feet. The tendril-feathered edges bristled with venomous, snapping maws. Her pupil-less violet eyes burned with malice.
There was no speech. No grand villainous proclamations. Only the guttural, wet language of apex beasts.
Asmodeus loosed a deafening, wet roar: a sound that shattered the surrounding stone pillars into powder and rattled the teeth in Sephiroth’s skull. He lunged forward. His massive jaws snapped shut on Bianca’s left shoulder.
The sound was sickening. The loud, wet CRACK of dense bone splintered under thousands of pounds of pressure echoed through the ruined building. Gold and crimson ichor spray-painted the air.
Bianca did not scream. She emitted a low, vibrating chest-click and struck back. She drove her legs into his flanks. Her massive three-clawed talons sank deep into his belly. With a sickening, tearing sound like heavy wet canvas ripping, she dragged her claws down his underside, spilling yards of steaming, intestines onto the basalt floor.
Asmodeus thrashed. His barbed spine-tendrils wrapped around her neck, strangling her, digging into her meat. He snapped his head back and tore away a chunk of her dark shoulder plumage, swallowing her flesh whole to feed his own failing regeneration.
Bianca’s eyes flared. She used her sheer mass to crush him downward. The shockwave of twenty thousand pounds hitting the stone split the floor wide open.
Before he could pull his head back, she struck. Her jaws were lined with rows of needle-sharp fangs and powered by massive pectoral flexors. She clamped directly onto the bridge of his draconic snout.
CRUNCH.
Scale, cartilage, and bone caved in under her bite. Asmodeus writhed violently. His dozens of scattered eyes rolled back into his head as he let out a muffled, gurgling screech through a maw filling rapidly with his own boiling blood. His black-and-gold ichor hit Bianca’s face, sizzling and smoking against her dark hide, but she did not let go.
She twisted her massive neck. With a wet POP, his heavy jaw dislocated.
She slammed him onto his back, pinning his thrashing, multi-limbed body beneath her crushing weight. Her tendril-wings spread wide, casting a shadow of over his ruined face.
Then, the divine cannibalism began.
Bianca lowered her head. Her prehensile tongue tasted the hot air, and she drove her maw straight into Asmodeus’s exposed, pulsing chest cavity.
She bit deep, severing thick, dark arteries that gushed like broken hydrants. Asmodeus was still fully conscious. His golden eyes dilated into pinpricks of pure, agony-laced shock as his limbs twitched helplessly against the floor.
He let out a ragged, whistling gasp: a pathetic, desperate plea in the ancient, wet clicks of the Abyssal tongue.
She ignored it.
Bianca tore a dripping, slab of raw muscle straight from his ribcage. She tilted her massive draconic head back, swallowed the chunk of her father’s body whole, and let out a deep, satisfied hiss that rattled the chest cavity of the dying archdemon.
The hundreds of tiny, barbed maws along her writhing wing-tendrils descended like a swarm of starved lampreys. They latched onto his torn belly, his exposed neck, his thrashing tail, biting and tearing simultaneously. They ripped away ribbons of obsidian scale and raw, steaming meat, drinking his divine, infernal essence directly from his open veins.
The vault echoed with the wet, rhythmic sound of grinding teeth, tearing sinew, and the frantic, rhythmic gulping of blood.
Asmodeus thrashed weaker and weaker. Once burning with the arrogant pride of a fallen angel who believed he could rewrite creation, his golden eyes began to go dark one by one. He watched his own daughter—the child he had engineered through centuries of violation and torture to be his battery—literally hollow him out from the inside.
She was consuming his soul, his power, his very lineage, and leaving nothing behind to regenerate. His legacy was not a throne. It was the gullet of a monster he had conceived.
Bianca plunged her snout back into his open sternum, biting deeper, and tore through the divine core at his center. The crunch of his spine snapping under her jaws was the final, definitive punctuation of the battle.
Asmodeus gave one last, shallow, bloody convulsion. His vast, tattered wings collapsed flat against the soaked stone. The gold-and-red light in his remaining eyes flickered, faded, and died.
Bianca did not stop eating. She remained perched atop his corpse. Her beak and fangs buried deep in his ruined chest, tearing and swallowing in a relentless frenzy of reclamation until the Archdemon of Lust was reduced to a hollowed-out skeleton. Scraps of muscle hung off lhe bones like ribbons.
Above the gore, Safer-Sephiroth slowly drifted down through the red haze.
His white wings tipped with blue folded gracefully under him as he hovered inches above the lake of boiling, sizzling blood covering the floor.
He looked at Bianca. Her massive frame was drenched in her father's steaming ichor. Her jaws dripped with thick, dark gore. Her eyes burning with the raw, untamed hunger of a beast.
He extended his one slender hand toward her.
Bianca lifted her massive, bloody snout from the carcass. She did not roar. She let out a low, rhythmic click that vibrated softly against the cavern walls, leaning her blood-soaked head down to press her snout gently against his open palm.
The Prince of Hell was gone and was devoured entirely. The slate of the old universe was clean, and the road to the Kilonova was wide open.
Claws, Paws, and Pure Chaos: SOLDIER’s Feral Kitten Meets SOLDIER’s Ultimate Golden Retriever
In the high-pressure, high-stakes military machine of Shinra’s upper plates, personalities tend to get crushed into uniform precision. But every so often, two diametrically opposed behavioral archetypes collide, creating a dynamic so chaotic and complementary that it redefines the emotional landscape around them. In the case of SOLDIER, that collision belongs to the ultimate Golden Retriever energy of Zack Fair and the sharp, unpredictable, and deeply hidden tenderness of Bianca Moore’s "Feral Kitten" archetype.
Neither character is a literal animal. Bianca is a celestial-demonic Nephilim hybrid, a former 2nd Class SOLDIER, an elite field medic, and the soul-twin to Sephiroth. Yet, beneath her heavy combat boots, wing-harness modifications, and dark spatial magic, her fundamental psychological blueprint operates on pure feline mechanics. When pitted against Zack’s boisterous, puppy-like enthusiasm, their dynamic turns into a masterclass in contrast, affection, and mutual survival.
Possible Trigger Warnings: abuse, child abuse, medical trauma, miscarriage / stillbirth, pregnancy complications, trauma
The Anomaly of the Feral Kitten
To understand Bianca’s place among the elite ranks, one must first look past the PR labels. Shinra’s marketing division branded her the “Angel of Shinra,” while the infantrymen dying in the mud at some border town in the middle of nowhere called her the “Saint of SOLDIER.” But behind closed doors and on high-security training floors, her comrades know the truth. She is a feral kitten wrapped in tactical leather and oversized soft clothing.
The Kitten archetype is defined by a sharp balance of delicate, compact physical aesthetics paired with an aloof, highly selective, and fiercely defensive personality. Standing at a tiny five feet tall, Bianca is the smallest operative in her circle, but she moves with the grace of a feral cat. She is charming, magnetic, and intensely protective, yet she maintains strict boundaries about who is permitted into her personal space.
Like a cat that has known the sting of a cage, Bianca does not trust easily. Raised under the clinical eyes of Professor Hojo, subjected to early wing mutilation, and paraded as a corporate mascot, her natural reaction to stress is hyper-vigilance. She evaluates every room for exits, reacts to sudden movements with immediate defensive flair, and displays an array of strikingly feline quirks:
Literal Biting in Combat: When sparring or caught in the chaos of tactical exercises, Bianca has zero qualms about using her upper and lower fangs, sharpened molars and wisdom teeth to bite her opponents—including her husband, Sephiroth—if they attempt to pin or trap her.
Contented Purring: In rare moments of genuine safety, buried under soft blankets beside Sephiroth or holding her children, she emits a low, subconscious purring sound that completely betrays her tough exterior.
Sensory Hypersensitivity: She can smell incoming rainstorms before the atmospheric sensors register them, carries an absolute aversion to eating blue food, and refuses to wear matching socks, claiming standard pairs restrict her grounding alignment.
Affection through Mischief: Bianca shows love not through grand formal gestures, but through territorial marking and play-aggression. She leaves cryptic sigils drawn on napkins, sneaks hard candy into people’s pockets, braids Sephiroth’s hair when he is trying to read, and writes playful curses in angelic script on corporate memo boards.
Enter the Golden Retriever: Zack Fair
If Bianca is a wary kitten lurking in the shadows of the training bay, Zack Fair is the runaway Golden Retriever who barrels straight through the front door, tail wagging, completely oblivious to social barriers.
Zack embodies the absolute pinnacle of the Golden Retriever archetype: boundless optimism, unwavering loyalty, zero volume control, and an innate belief that everyone he meets is secretly his best friend. Where others tread lightly around the elite icons of SOLDIER, Zack bounds in with wide-eyed enthusiasm, eager to prove himself, take on grueling squat challenges, and turn the sterile corridors of Shinra into a playground.
Zack does not register defensive posturing. When Bianca bristles, sharpens her nails, or throws a sarcastic jab, Zack’s brain simply translates it as an invitation to play. He treats her not as the delicate "Angel" of corporate posters nor as Hojo's volatile hybrid experiment, but as an affectionate, sharp-tongued older sister figure who desperately needs to be dragged out of her shell.
The Dynamic in Action: Sunshine Meets Shadow
The interaction between a Golden Retriever personality and a Feral Kitten is a study in relentless, joyful persistence breaking down sophisticated emotional armor.
Zack’s presence in Bianca’s daily orbit began under Angeal Hewley’s wing, but it quickly evolved into an unscripted, chaotic camaraderie. Where Sephiroth’s towering, stoic presence offers Bianca a quiet, grounded sanctuary, Zack brings an air of unfiltered noise and lighthearted reality.
The Intrusion on Personal Space
A cat values personal space. A Golden Retriever does not acknowledge its existence. Zack routinely crashed Bianca’s quiet moments in the medical bays or breakrooms, dropping heavy equipment, loudly complaining about Angeal's training sessions, or demanding Sephiroth engage in impromptu physical trials.
Rather than retreating, Bianca learned to treat Zack like a hyperactive younger brother. She would sit perched on high counters, rolling her eyes, playfully keeping count of his endless squats, brewing him strong Wutai tea to calm him down, and patching up the minor scrapes he stubbornly earned from pushing his physical limits.
Physical Contrast and Caretaking
Standing at five feet tall next to Zack’s rising frame and Sephiroth’s massive six-foot-seven height, Bianca’s physical presence is deceptively fragile. But in combat and field prep, the Puppy and the Kitten operate with terrifying synergy.
During the high-stakes deployment to Nibelheim, when Bianca was suffering through an early, high-risk pregnancy with her twins, Zack’s Golden Retriever instinct for loyalty and protection went into overdrive.
Recognizing her cyclic nausea and fatigue before anyone else, Zack stepped into the ultimate helper role. Without drawing the attention of corporate handlers or exacerbating Sephiroth's worries, Zack covertly carried Bianca's heavy gear up Mt. Nibel, forced her to stay hydrated, volunteered for her night watches, and staged noisy operational distractions whenever she needed to slip away. It was pure Golden Retriever logic: protect the pack, ask no questions, and carry the heavy stuff.
While Bianca’s Kitten archetype makes her magnetic, affectionate, and fiercely resilient, it directly fuels her ultimate Fatal Flaw: Defensive Secrecy and Emotional Avoidance through Chaotic Distraction.
Cats are famous for hiding their pain. A wounded cat will instinctively drag itself into a dark corner, purr to soothe its own physical trauma, and spit at anyone who attempts to touch its injuries.
Bianca operates on this exact survival strategy. Having endured the trauma of laboratory vivisection, wing mutilation, and the devastating heartbreak of nine consecutive reproductive losses before her twins, Bianca’s default coping mechanism is to lock her pain inside a vault and throw away the key.
Instead of confronting emotional vulnerability or processing deep grief, Bianca weaponizes her kitten traits, such as her chaotic energy, mischief, sharp humor, and unpredictable antics, as a smoke screen.
When her internal trauma flares up or her corrupted Mako magic becomes unstable, she doesn't ask for help. She orchestrates elaborate prank wars, picks harmless fights, or acts intentionally reckless to force everyone’s focus onto her surface behavior rather than her internal agony.
Her feline instinct to hide weakness led to her most dangerous choices. When Genesis Rhapsodos presented her with his dark ultimatum in her garden before defecting, Bianca kept the confrontation a complete secret from Sephiroth. She convinced herself that she was protecting her husband’s gentle heart from breaking over his brother-in-arms, failing to realize that her silence would allow the Genesis War to erupt and tear their found family apart.
During her pregnancy on the slopes of Nibelheim, her fear of losing another child compelled her to forcibly shield her mind through the Red Thread of Fate, enduring severe physical cramping when she fell from the bridge into the water below and terror in complete, isolated silence. She would rather suffer in the dark than risk exposing her vulnerability to those who loved her.
Where Zack’s Golden Retriever flaw is his naive over-trust and belief that he can save everyone through sheer effort, Bianca’s Kitten flaw is the tragic belief that she must burn alone in the dark so that no one else gets singed by her fire.
The Complementary Bond
Despite their drastic differences in emotional processing, the Kitten and the Golden Retriever form an unbreakable bond built on mutual authenticity. In a world full of corporate handlers, corporate lies, and manufactured heroes, Zack Fair and Bianca Moore offered each other something rare: absolute truth.
Zack never asked Bianca to put on her "Angel of Shinra" mask, and Bianca never asked Zack to tone down his loud, puppy-like optimism. She gave him a safe space to vent his frustrations without judgment, and he gave her an unshakeable, sunny anchor that reminded her of the simple, untarnished goodness left in the world.
When the dust settled, the feral kitten with the shattered wings and the boisterous puppy with his overwhelming optimism proved that warmth isn't defined by how bright you shine. It's defined by who you choose to keep warm when the world turns cold.

Sorry friends. Got a huge migraine, so I'm recovering. We'll see how I feel later today.
To the rest of the world, Sephiroth was a god walking among mortals: an impenetrable, military celebrity keeping them safe against Shinra's enemies. But behind the blue glow of his Mako-infused eyes lay a reality only Bianca could see.
Bound together since childhood by the unyielding pull of the pre-natal Red Ribbon of Fate—a spiritual and somatic lifeline completely immune to Professor Hojo’s twisted bio-engineering—their relationship was never defined by corporate propaganda or military order.
Instead, Bianca’s perception of Sephiroth evolved from a desperate child's protective shelter into a tragic hero worth dying for, and ultimately into an equal partner in defiance. Through the agonizing horrors of the laboratory, the silent grief of miscarriages, and the suffocating whispers of Jenova’s madness, she remained the singular antibody to his destruction: the firebird who saw past the monster Shinra tried to forge, loving instead the man who chose her over prophecy.
Trigger Warnings: abuse, blood, gore, infant loss, medical trauma, mental illness, pregnancy loss, non-consensual medical procedures
The Evolution of Perception: From Caged Counterpart to Chosen Husband
Bianca Moore’s perception of Sephiroth is not a static opinion. It is an evolving tapestry woven over two decades of shared trauma, forced corporate isolation, catastrophic loss, and ultimate liberation.
Because their connection is anchored by the ancient, pre-natal Red Ribbon of Fate—a spiritual, telepathic, and somatic lifeline completely independent of Hojo’s bio-engineering—Bianca is perhaps the only living being in existence who sees past the manufactured myth of Shinra’s Great Hero to behold the quiet, deeply human, and profoundly protective man beneath the black leather.

Hojo's Lab Cell
Red Thread Connection leading to:
Sephiroth: The Monolith: The quiet, protective shell
Bianca: The Firebird: T he fragile, bleeding spark
In the earliest, most terrifying days of their childhood inside Professor Hojo’s windowless lab cells, Bianca did not see Sephiroth as a divine prodigy, a military weapon, or an intimidating superior.
To four-year-old Bianca, bleeding on cold tile after Hojo systematically shattered the humerus bones in her wings, Sephiroth was simply safety personified.
He was the quiet boy in the oversized hospital gown who held her shaking frame through feverish nights, used his bare hands to physically hold her body together during her unmedicated vivisection at age eleven, and shared his sparse nutrient slurry and pudding cups.
The Primary Impression: During this era, Bianca perceived Sephiroth as her sole anchor to sanity. In a world where every adult in a lab coat viewed them as specimens, Sephiroth was the only human being who looked at her with unconditional care. Their shared pain established a foundational truth in her mind: Sephiroth is not cold. He is merely forced to freeze to survive.

The Wall of Static
Following the trauma of the Rhadore campaign, when Sephiroth retreated into a detached, robotic state to cope with his grief over Glenn, Matt, and Lucia, Bianca watched him pull away with an aching heart. When he intentionally dulled his side of the Red Thread during the autumn 1992 deployments, fearing his fracturing mental state would drag her down, Bianca did not view him as distant or unfeeling.
She recognized his withdrawal for what it truly was: an act of desperate, misguided self-sacrifice. Upon her return from the border campaign as the "Saint of SOLDIER," her stubborn, feisty refusal to let him drown broke through his self-imposed isolation, proving that no corporate strategy could scatter their center.
Subverting the Breeding Program
When Shinra announced their arranged corporate engagement when Bianca was eighteen and Sephiroth was twenty, Bianca initially wrestled with deep feelings of inadequacy. Suffering from broken wings, corrupted shadow magic, and emotional distress reenforced by Hojo's S-cell injections and strict diet control, she wondered how anyone—let alone her childhood friend—could truly love her.
However, watching Sephiroth quietly subvert the company's expectations transformed her insecurity into profound devotion, Bianca realized that behind Sephiroth’s public facade stood a man of incredible gentleness, carrying the weight of an entire world’s expectations while secretly carving out a quiet, private sanctuary where they could simply belong to one another.
When Sephiroth proposed to her at the Gold Saucer, he presented the white ribbon as his engagment token, as he knew that the gaudy engagement ring that the PR team picked out was not Bianca’s style. The ribbon is truly their engagement 'ring'.
His routine abuse of his 1st Class administrative privileges to covertly steal military-grade analgesics and high-protein rations for her to save her from metabolic collapse and chronic wing agony.
His patient, gentle hands breaking open the rock-hard keratin sheaths on her deformed wings, treating her mutilated biology not as a failure, but as something sacred requiring infinite care.
The Tragedy of Loss & The Nibelheim Crucible: The Antibody Against the Contagion
The Nibelheim Antibody
Jenova's Telepathic Calls -> Psychological Assault leading to:
Sephiroth: Threatened: Tempted by the whispers of madness
Bianca: The Antibody: Celestial aura and blood blocks dark static
Bianca’s perception of Sephiroth underwent its most critical test during their reproductive losses within the upper plates of Midgar, culminating in Bianca's catastrophic, unassisted loss of their daughter on their living room floor while Sephiroth and the other Firsts were in a briefing with Lazard.
Knowing that Sephiroth, Angeal, and Genesis break military protocol, rushed past Director Lazard, and sprint down concrete steps to save her bleeding frame cemented her view of Sephiroth not just as her husband, but as her co-sovereign in defiance.
When they were deployed to the Nibelheim Reactor while Bianca was secretly seven weeks pregnant with their surviving twins (Aurora and Lucien Moore-Sephiroth), Bianca saw Sephiroth standing at the precipice of absolute destruction.
Where canon history saw a man descending into madness, Bianca saw a different timeline: a deeply wounded, isolated soul being ruthlessly targeted by Genesis’s accusations and Jenova's alien whispers.
Stepping directly into the line of fire at the reactor in the middle of the steps and his wild swings with Masamune targetting the tubes connecting the materia pods, Bianca used her celestial aura, the blood from her wounded hand (self-inflicted with Noctemaris), the Red String of Fate, and her fiercely loving presence to act as a spiritual lightning rod.
She filtered out the static of the Calamity into herself through the Red String, holding Sephiroth’s sanity intact. She did not see a monster. She saw her husband, and she refused to let the world and Calamity take him.
The Vanguard Era (Present): The Co-Leader, Husband, and Father
In the aftermath of their defection and exile to the Yamashiro of Rinnos, Bianca’s perception of Sephiroth has reached its final, matured state. He is her equal half, her chosen partner in structural retaliation, and the devoted father of their children.
The Vanguard Sanctuary
Sephiroth: The Monolith; strategic commander & protector; father to Aurora & Lucien
Bianca: The Firebird; vanguard co-leader & spark; mother to Aurora & Lucien, nourishing heart of the group
So, to answer the question posed by today's prompt.
Did her opinion change over time? Yes, but not through disillusionment. Her perception evolved from seeing him as a protective shelter (childhood) to a tragic hero worth saving (adolescence), and finally to a complete partner in freedom (adulthood).
Bianca views him with total, unvarnished affection. She knows his subtle smiles, his quiet fears he will never voice, the rhythm of his telepathic pulse through the Red Ribbon, and his tenderness when cradling Aurora and Lucien in Rinnos.
To Bianca, Sephiroth is not the weapon Shinra made him to be. He is the man who chose love over prophecy, and the only soul in the universe who makes her broken wings feel weightless.

Before the sanctuary of Rinnos was ever forged, the bonds of a rogue unit were sealed in the brutal, suffocating heat of the Wutai range: written in blood, dark rye, and shared somatic pain.
Stripped of Shinra’s corporate safety nets and hunted as treasonous assets, the small band of survivors faced an unforgiving crucible that transformed their very identities.
From the grueling logistics of nourishing a high-metabolism hybrid while seven months pregnant to the quiet, terrifying miracle of an unexpected second twin born during a roaring tropical monsoon, this chaotic chapter details the raw evolution of Bianca Moore from a manufactured corporate idol into the unyielding matriarch of a newfound family.
Sorry that I forgot to copy and paste the trigger warnings.
Possible Trigger Warnings: blood, degradation, childbirth, torture, trauma
The period immediately following the Nibelheim Incident represents the most precarious, raw, and transformative chapter in Bianca’s life.
Forced off the grid, branded as rogue threats by Shinra’s global propaganda machine, and fleeing through the unforgiving, suffocating high-altitude wilderness of the Wutai range, the small band of survivors was stripped of Shinra’s vast logistical safety net.
For Bianca, who was heavily pregnant with the unrecognized twins during this trek, this era was a grueling crucible of physical survival, deep-rooted trauma, and fundamental identity shifting.
Physical Survival & The Logistics of the Metabolic Crisis
Without Shinra’s synthetic protein rations or Sephiroth’s administrative privileges to requisition military-grade analgesics, Bianca’s hyper-metabolic demand became an immediate life-or-death crisis for the group. Zack and Sephiroth developed a synchronized hunting system specifically tailored to keep her fed. While Sephiroth stayed close to act as her physical anchor and wing-support, Zack would cover vast distances tracking high-calorie jungle and mountain game (wild boars, tropical river trout, and mountain goats).
Early in the flight, near the foothills, Zack managed to slip into a remote Wutai border village and trade a piece of high-grade Materia for three loaves of dense, dark rye bread and dried plums. To this day, Bianca considers that specific, stone-cold loaf of mountain bread one of the most sacred meals she has ever eaten—it was the first time in her life food was given to her purely to keep her alive, completely free of Hojo's chemical laced tranquilizers or Shinra’s cosmetic diet restrictions.
Without proper flat surfaces or sterile medical bays, preening her 9.92-foot ornamental wings became a harrowing daily necessity. In the stifling mountain air, intense tropical dampness threatened her S-cell pinfeathers with severe fungal infections and impacted keratin sheaths. Sephiroth constructed crude wooden supports out of dried bamboo and teak timber to prop her heavy wings off the muddy, humid cave floors at night, manually picking open her hardened feather sheaths by campfire light using a heated combat knife tip and his bare fingers while she bit down on a leather strap to handle the pain without screaming and giving away their position to Shinra drone sweeps.

BIANCA MOORE (IN EXILE)

Transitioning from captive to matriarch
During the arduous climbs up steep, mud-slick tropical mountain passes, Bianca’s chronic wing arthritis combined with severe pelvic alignment pain made walking nearly impossible. Through the Red Ribbon of Fate, Sephiroth deliberately inverted their somatic link, drawing roughly 60% of her physical pain into his own frame. To an outside observer, Sephiroth looked entirely unbothered, but Zack frequently noticed Sephiroth’s knuckles turning white against the hilt of Masamune as he absorbed the crushing physical strain of her laboring body.
As the twins grew, their nascent celestial-demonic bloodlines created a bizarre interference pattern across the Red Thread. Instead of clean telepathic words, Bianca and Sephiroth’s shared mental space was filled with a soft, iridescent "static" that sounded like ocean waves mixed with low, hummed lullabies. It was the only thing that kept Sephiroth’s mind completely calm during the humid, pitch-black nights when the lingering echoes of Jenova tried to find a foothold in his consciousness.
Knowing how high-risk her pregnancy was after nine consecutive losses, Zack flatly refused to let Bianca carry anything heavier than a single canteen. He carried her tactical gear, her heavy duster coat, and the medical kit on top of his own Buster Sword and supplies. He instituted mandatory "fifteen-minute breather stops" every hour on the hour, using the excuse that he was tired, just to give Bianca a reason to rest without triggering her fatal flaw of feeling like a burdensome liability.
AURORA (FIRST-BORN)
Smooth, expected birth
Expected single infant
Symbol of immediate hope
LUCIEN (SURPRISE TWIN)
Born 25 minutes later
Unannounced second child
Mirroring his quiet nature
The twins were not born in a hospital or a prepared safehouse, but in an abandoned, half-rotted timber-cutter's shack tucked inside a rocky Wutai ravine during a furious, unseasonable tropical monsoon. The group had managed to gather wild mountain herbs, river water boiled over a small, sheltered fire, and clean cotton strips torn from the interiors of their tactical coats.
The entire faction had prepared for a single child based on their crude visual estimates and limited supplies. Aurora was born first—a loud, healthy, grey-haired baby girl. As Sephiroth wrapped Aurora in his worn, silk-lined 1st Class coat and the group breathed a massive sigh of collective relief, Bianca’s contractions restarted with terrifying, explosive violence twenty-five minutes later.
Lucien was born in absolute silence: a surprise twin who didn't cry, only opening his deep indigo eyes to stare quietly at the wooden ceiling, instantly establishing his lifelong role as the calm, observant shadow to his dominant older sister.
That night, with two infants wrapped in thermal insulation blankets and Sephiroth sitting on the damp wood floor with his back against the door frame to keep out the howling gale and torrential downpour, Bianca experienced her first true epiphany. As she held Aurora on her left breast and Lucien on her right, looking at the 1st Class SOLDIER Zack Fair and Trooper Cloud Strife sitting silently by the fire cleaning their blades and rifle, she realized Shinra had lost completely.
They had wanted a biological weapon. She had given birth to a family.
Psychological Shifts & Group Dynamics in the Shadow Era
Out in the mud and dense jungle fern, the sleek, manufactured corporate image of the "Angel of Shinra" completely dissolved. Bianca stopped wearing her stylized makeup, left her black-and-indigo hair in long, loose braids tied with strips of raw leather and the white ribbon threaded through her hair, and wore Sephiroth's oversized spare wool tunic. This physical stripped-down state was immensely liberating for her. For the first time since age two, no camera lenses were watching her move, and no scientists were measuring her blood pressure or compatibility viability.
During the final weeks before discovering the hidden valley of Rinnos, Bianca used her Soul Convergence and Abyssal Telepathy to quietly cast wide spatial nets across the continent, tracking the faint, degrading life-signature of Genesis. She knew he was out there, rotting from the inside out due to cell degradation.
Even while nursing newborn twins in the stifling heat of the high-altitude mountains, she spent her few sleeping hours mapping out where her fallen brother could be, determined that once they found a permanent sanctuary, bringing Genesis back into the fold would be her primary mission. She, however, didn't know that Genesis was following the group since Nibelheim.
It was during this specific period of exile that Zack stopped calling her "Saint" and began referring to her strictly as the "Firebird." To him, watching a woman with shattered, wire-strung wings, nine buried heartbreaks, and an active price tag on her head haul herself across a steaming, rain-lashed mountain range to give birth to healthy twins was no longer just "saintly". It was a literal, fiery resurrection from the ashes of Shinra’s baseline destruction.
Note: 8.2.26: I had this in my drafts for over a month now. Enjoy this latest meta post on Bianca
The Firebird is a deeply evocative trope rooted in Slavic folklore and mythic storytelling.
As a literary archetype, the Firebird is a living paradox: a radiant, otherworldly creature of intense magic, beauty, and renewal, yet one that carries a double-edged blessing. To possess, capture, or bind a Firebird brings monumental power, but it inevitably brings immense trial, peril, and ruin upon those who try to cage it.
Possible Trigger Warnings: Captivity, forced engagement, forced pregnancy/reproduction, torture, trauma, violence, war
What are the key characteristics of the firebird?
The Firebird is highly sought after by powerful figures (kings, empires, dark lords) who see it as a prize, a weapon, or a tool to validate their own dominion.
It cannot be permanently destroyed. Even when crushed, broken, or reduced to ashes, its essence inherently cycles back through death into rebirth.
The Firebird’s light provides life, healing, and warmth to those in despair, but if provoked or corrupted, that same fire becomes an uncontrollable inferno that burns down empires.
When paired with a distant, cold, or monolithic partner (The Stoic), the Firebird acts as the dynamic, unpredictable spark of life. The vibrant heat that melts the ice around a stoic's frozen heart and grounds them in humanity.
How Bianca Moore Embodies the Firebird Archetype
Bianca doesn't just bear "The Firebird" as a title; her entire narrative arc, physical design, and relationship dynamics are built systematically around this archetype.
Just as mythical kings hunt the Firebird to display its glowing plumage, Shinra captured Bianca to parade her as their luminous, propaganda mascot: the "Angel of Shinra." They clipped and shattered her wings, put her in a gilded cage of surveillance and forced engagements and reproduction, and tried to strip away her agency to turn her into a corporate weapon. Yet, true to the Firebird, her inner spark refused to extinguish.
Her true form is literally a 55-foot draconic Phoenix: a cosmic beast made of tendril-feathers, inferno breath, and celestial radiance. Even her mechanical resurrection passive (Ashen Rebirth) directly fulfills the core Firebird trait. Upon death, her body combusts into ethereal ash and slowly regenerates over four months, proving she can never truly be extinguished by Shinra or her demonic father.
In her central romantic dynamic, Sephiroth acts as the unyielding "monolith" (stoicism but compassionate publicly) of SOLDIER, while Bianca is the chaotic, vibrant spark. Her warmth, expressed through playful antics, deep empathy, and the telepathic pulse of the Red Ribbon of Fate, acts as the literal thermal shield that keeps Sephiroth from freezing into detached madness or falling to Jenova's call.
Bianca’s powers carry the dual polarity of Firebird light. To dying infantrymen in the trenches, her celestial magic offers gentle, life-saving warmth (earning her the title "Saint of SOLDIER"). But when pushed to protect her family, that warmth transforms into retialation and the catastrophic inferno of her true form, dismantling Shinra's infrastructure from the ashes of her own grief.
31 Days of Headcanons Masterlist | Shadows over the Cradle Intro
Possible Trigger Warnings: forced breeding, medical trauma, non-consensual medical procedures, pregnancy loss, reproductive abuse, reproductive trauma, severe physical abuse, stillbirth, torture, vivisection
Welcome to the 31 Days of FF7 Character Development mini-series. This series is a month-long exploration into the psychological depths, history, and narrative arcs of the characters within my ongoing project, Fantasy Worlds Collide (FWC).
The Redemption!AU centers on Bianca Moore, a celestial-demonic hybrid whose existence was weaponized by Shinra after being locked away alongside Sephiroth in Hojo’s laboratories. Bound together by the mystical Red Thread of Fate and the shared trauma of brutal vivisections, permanent wing mutilation, trials of pain, and relentless corporate exploitation, Bianca and Sephiroth transformed a forced, high-profile corporate breeding program into a genuine sanctuary of survival.
While publicly branded as Shinra’s pristine PR icon—the "Angel of Shinra"—and secretly revered by foot soldiers as the deeply compassionate "Saint of SOLDIER," Bianca waged an internal war against the corrupted celestial-demonic forces in her blood, serving as the vital emotional anchor that kept Sephiroth from losing his mind to Jenova’s whispers.
The turning point of their redemption arc arrives through devastating loss and ultimate defiance. Following years of horrific reproductive trauma—culminating in the heartbreaking, unassisted loss of their stillborn daughter—and the chaos of the Genesis War, Bianca and Sephiroth shatter their chains and flee Midgar to establish the rogue mercenary faction known as The Vanguard.
In exile, Bianca uses her forbidden celestial arts to restore their fallen brother-in-arms Angeal, guides Lucrecia back from despair, and joins forces with AVALANCHE to dismantle Shinra's control. Through these trials, Bianca steps out from the shadow of prophecy and corporate experimentation, proving that her destiny is written not by her monstrous lineage, but by the fierce love, healing, and unbreakable family she fought to claim.
Below is my personal index of prompts. Entries will be added as they are completed.
So I'm actually an idiot who didn't know I wouldn't be able to see the results of my own poll until it finished, and I'm not contaminating the responses by voting, so I only know the status of the poll as of last night from @bardic-tales and @sapphirothcrescent sending me screenshots 🫠
I'm not too surprised that Cloud has no votes. Azaela and Cloud haven't interacted yet in my fic. Also, Azaela and Cloud as a couple may look a little weird, considering they could pass for siblings. I tend to be drawn to more of a contrast in characters I ship together (different hair color, heights, etc.), so I see why the other pairings are more appealing. 🤭
Yes, some disabilities are dynamic, and most of us in the disability community know this. However many people aren’t aware of just how dynamic some conditions can be.
A person can go from no symptoms at all to being profoundly debilitated all in one day.
Some have baseline symptoms so low and flares so high, that things can go from 1 to 10 very quickly.
I know it can seem impossible that some people’s disabilities fluctuate with such extreme variability, but this is a real phenomenon that people deal with.
Spot on. As someone living with severe dynamic disabilities, the sheer speed of these shifts is one of the hardest parts for people outside my friends and family to grasp.
I live with severe bone pain and thigh nerve damage. My baseline can literally shatter in a matter of minutes. I can wake up feeling completely fine, able to sit comfortably and go about my morning, and then 20 minutes later, or after a single car ride, be hit with a severe, agonizing flare-up that leaves me utterly debilitated and relying on aggressive pain management just to get through it.
It’s not just that symptoms fluctuate. It’s that the drop-off can be instantaneous. Thanks for sharing this. The more people understand how quickly a 'good day' or 'good hour' can turn, the better off we'll all be.
I will be mentioning everyone one more time today. I'm trying to get everything out I created over the weekend, so you all can read it.
This blog will be inactive between Tuesday - Friday (depending on how I feel Thursday).
Here are the tropes for Bianca in Shadows Over the Cradle. I love using my literary analysis skills to analysis Bianca, etc.
Possible Trigger Warnings: chronic pain, human experimentation, medical trauma, pregnancy loss, reproductive violence, physical abuse, violence
Romantic & Dynamic Tropes
The Stoic and the Firebird: The foundational romantic dynamic between Sephiroth and Bianca. He is the unyielding, towering "living monolith," while she is the vibrant, chaotic, fiercely affectionate "spark" who refuses to let him fully detach from his humanity.
Soulmates / Fated Lovers: Connected from birth by the literal, visible Red Thread of Fate. Their souls are explicitly described as two halves of a whole across every alternate universe, bound telepathically, emotionally, and somatically.
Trauma-Bonded Partners: Having grown up side-by-side in Hojo’s windowless lab cells, their romantic devotion is forged in the fires of mutual survival, shared agony, vivisections, reproductive losses, and medical exploitation.
Hurt/Comfort & Caretaking: A continuous loop between them. She acts as his emotional anchor, cooling his mind and softening his detachment, while he acts as her primary physical protector, using his military privileges to secure her pain medication and patiently preening her damaged wings.
Gilded Cage Romance: Their forced corporate engagement and marriage by Shinra backfires on the company. What was intended as a cold, monitored breeding program evolves into a fiercely protective, genuine sanctuary of love.
Tall Guy, Tiny Girl: A stark physical contrast. Standing at 5'0" (152 cm) against Sephiroth’s 6'7"+ frame, their visual dynamic emphasizes his towering protection over her delicate yet fiercely lethal size. She only goes up to the middle of his chest. I think she may be the smallest OC among my friends' group?
Character Identity & Archetype Tropes
Cute, But Psycho / Feral Kitten: She possesses an alluring, delicate appearance (105 lbs, purple feline eyes, soft sweaters) paired with feral, unpredictable combat behavior—such as biting her comrades (and husband) in the middle of combat simulations.
The Nephilim / Sacred and Profane: The biological child of a Celestial (Archangel) Guardian (Seraphine) and a Demonic Tyrant / Fallen Angel (Asmodeus), further spliced with alien Jenova cells. She embodies a constant balance between holy light and dark corruption.
In the context of Final Fantasy VII, her internal conflict mirrors the cosmic pull between Holy and Black Materia: her celestial half striving to protect, heal, and commune with souls, while her demonic-Jenova hybrid nature threatens to unleash cataclysmic, life-draining destruction. See below for a larger in-depth reason why.
Physical Disability / Broken Wings: Despite possessing a massive 9.92-foot wingspan, her humerus bones were deliberately shattered by Hojo at age four. Her wings are strictly ornamental and constant sources of chronic pain/arthritis, serving as a permanent visual metaphor for her stolen freedom. She cannot fly. She cannot really move her wings at all. And she has never been in the air like Angeal, Genesis, and Sephiroth. When they fly, one of them, usually Sephiroth, will carry her.
Cosmic Horror True Form: Beneath her human facade lies a 55-foot draconic Phoenix made of writhing tendrils, miasma, and reality-ripping talons.
Saintly Monster / Combat Medic: Known publicly as the "Angel of Shinra" and to the infantry as the "Saint of SOLDIER." Despite her corrupted, life-draining powers, her innate nature is deeply compassionate, driving her to run into live battlefields to heal and comfort dying foot soldiers.
Masked Trauma / Coping Through Mischief: Her fatal flaw is her refusal to process emotional pain directly. She hides her deep-seated trauma behind bad puns, teasing, rebellion, boundary-pushing, and playful antics.
Plot & Narrative Role Tropes
Propaganda Piece / Corporate Mascot: Shinra uses her as a PR tool to humanize the SOLDIER program and soften Sephiroth's public image, parade-dressing her as a saintly "Angel" while secretly subjecting her to vivisection in the basements. They are known as the 1st Family of SOLDIER.
Tragic Motherhood: She endures relentless reproductive trauma—six miscarriages and three stillbirths due to her chaotic hybrid biology and Hojo’s injections—before successfully giving birth to her twins in exile.
The Morality Pet / Anchor: Her presence and emotional warmth act as the primary spiritual shield preventing Sephiroth from losing his sanity to Jenova’s telepathic calls during the Nibelheim mission.
Secret Keeper / Well-Intentioned Deception: Out of a protective desire to shield Sephiroth’s tender heart from the pain of Genesis’s degradation and defecting, she keeps Genesis’s secret ultimatum to herself: a silence that inadvertently haunts her with intense guilt during the Genesis War where she had tried many times to reach her degrading best friend, as she tries to persuade him to stop the madness.
Defiant Experiment: She continuously rejects the destiny, prophecy, and biological tags forced onto her by Asmodeus, Seraphine, Hojo, and Shinra, choosing instead to forge her own family on her own terms.
The Black and White Materia and the Struggle Between Celestial and Demonic Light and the War Within
Final Fantasy VII’s entire narrative revolves around the fundamental tension between planetary preservation (Holy/Lifestream) and cosmic erasure (Black Materia/Jenova/Meteor). By anchoring Bianca's dual lineage to this specific framework, her internal struggle ceases to be an isolated personal quirk.
Her struggle becomes a symbolism of the Planet’s own cosmic war. She isn't just a fantasy hybrid dropped into Midgar. Her very soul operates on the exact tension that govern Gaia.
In the canon lore, Sephiroth is drawn toward destruction, Meteor, and Jenova, while Aerith stands as the sole beacon of Holy and the Lifestream. Bianca carrying both opposing-like forces within her body makes her a living bridge between those two absolute extremes.
She isn't an innocent bystander trying to pull him back to the light with naive optimism.
She genuinely understands the dark, destructive pull of the abyss because a Black Materia-like corruption vibrates in her own blood.
Her ability to anchor his sanity at Nibelheim makes total narrative sense. She offers him a way to remain whole because she successfully walks that exact tightrope every day.
Mechanically and narratively, this dynamic elevates her battle scenes beyond simple superpowered fighting. Every time she channels her abilities, there is an immediate cost.
Tapping into Holy (using as symbolic) / Celestial energy: Requires intense focus to filter out her dark corruption, leaving her spiritually drained.
Tapping into Black (using as symbolic) / Demonic energy: Grants catastrophic, life-draining power, but risks letting Jenova's influence or her demonic father's whispers take the wheel.
This transforms her magic into a constant risk-reward calculation, ensuring that even her strongest moments are fraught with psychological suspense.
This parallel gives her character a richer design. I love all OCs, as I often said, but when designing Bianca, I wanted to make her feel alien but able to feel as if she could belong to that world.
The White Ribbon: Acts as her personal "Holy"-like token, a tether given by Sephiroth as an engagement token (since he hates the gaudy engagement ring the PR teams picked out for them) that protects her mind and wards off status ailments/corruption.
Noctemaris & Black Feathers: Represent the dark, destructive Black Materia-like pull of her lineage.

Author’s Note: This scene was born out of a friend, @syntheticdesign02, lightheartedly tagging how often I mention her habit of biting people. While it started as a fun offhand comment, I wanted to explore how that physical, playful aggression would play out. It turns out even SOLDIER 1st Class veterans aren't entirely safe from a tenacious 2nd Class with sharp teeth and zero interest in reading the combat manual.
The synthetic hum of the Fusion Chamber vibrated through the soles of Bianca’s combat boots: a low, mechanical purr that was instantly swallowed by the hiss of atmospheric depressurization.
Before her heavy soles even touched the virtual deck, Bianca reached up and snapped the high-tech VR headset down over her eyes. Beside her, three identical sets of glowing visors clicked into place.
Instantly, the sterile, Mako-stained steel of the lower Shinra research level dissolved into a hyper-realistic, sprawling simulation of the ancient Wutai mountain peaks. Jagged obsidian cliffs materialized beneath them, a biting gale whipping dust through the canyon as the Biorhythm-Testing Materia Equipment calibrated to their vital signs.
"Data feed is synchronized," Angeal’s calm voice echoed clearly through the headset’s internal comms, though physically he stood just outside the chamber, thumbing the Shinra Application on his standard-issue flip phone to oversee the diagnostic. "Biorhythm, heart rate, physical strain. it’s all tracking. Don't break the equipment this time. I don't feel like forfeiting two years of salary."
"No promises!" Zack’s voice cracked through the comms: bright, boisterous, and entirely unfiltered. The young SOLDIER was bouncing on his heels in his dark blue 2nd Class uniform, already drawing his standard-issue broadsword. "Come on, Bianca! Show me what you've got!"
Bianca rolled her shoulders, her ornamental, black-and-indigo feathered wings shifting heavily against the back of her sleeveless red turtleneck.
Publicly, Shinra kept her bound to 2nd Class—a decorative "Angel" for the PR department—but in the privacy of the simulation, she moved like a shadow.
"Don't cry when you get tagged, Puppy," Bianca taunted, as her purple feline eyes flashed.
She lunged. Moving with terrifying, fluid speed, she bypassed Zack’s heavy overhead parry, ducked beneath his guard, and lunged inward. Instead of using Noctemaris’s edge, she grabbed the thick meat of his forearm and bit down. Hard.
"OW! Hey!" Zack yelped, nearly dropping his broadsword as he yanked his arm back, staring in utter disbelief at the fresh, red set of dental impressions indented directly into his blue sleeve. "What are you, a feral cat?! That's not in the manual!"
"It works, doesn't it?" she smirked, as she darted backward.
"Fascinating tactical evolution, Old Friend" Genesis chimed in over the internal frequency. His long red coat fluttered in the simulated alpine wind as he leaned casually against a virtual boulder. His silver dagger earring glinted under the artificial sun.
"A resort to animalistic savagery. How utterly uninspired. 'The goddess descends from the sky', yet you choose to fight like a stray pet."
"Shut up, Gen," Bianca retorted. She pivoted mid-stride. "You're next."
Before Genesis could recite another line of LOVELESS, Bianca crossed the distance, her thigh-high boots leaving shallow craters in the digitized rock. Genesis brought up his rapier to block, but Bianca didn't aim for his blade.
She ducked under his sweeping arm, slipped behind his metal shoulder pauldrons, and sank her sharp upper fangs straight into the thick curve of his left bicep.
Genesis stiffened, an indignant, high-pitched gasp breaking through his usually flawless, arrogant composure.
"You—you absolute gremlin! That is direct damage to my uniform!" He tried to shake her off, but Bianca held on like a tenacious kitten attached to a ball of yarn before letting go with a satisfied click of her teeth.
She dropped back onto her feet and wiping her lip with a gloved hand.
"That's two," she purred. Her prehensile tongue darted out playfully.
From the observation deck, Angeal’s voice came dryly over the headsets. "Bianca, stop trying to eat our friends. The telemetry data is reporting abnormal pressure points on their limbs."
"She’s out of control!" Zack complained, though he was grinning ear to ear, as he rubbed his forearm. "She's like a tiny, dangerous storm!"
"No," a deep, smooth voice cut through the comms. "She's just getting impatient."
The mountain environment flickered as Sephiroth stepped forward into the center of the ring. He was imposing, towering over her in his open black coat, leather suspenders crossed over his bare chest, and the seven-foot length of the Masamune held casually at his side.
His bright cyan, slit-pupiled eyes locked onto hers.
The atmosphere in the room shifted instantly. Where Zack brought warmth and Genesis brought grandstanding, Sephiroth brought an absolute, grounding gravity.
"Your turn, Silver," Bianca murmured. Her voice softened, losing its sharp edge but keeping all of its playful mischief.
"Try it," Sephiroth replied. The corner of his lips twitched into a barely perceptible, dry smirk.
Bianca exploded into motion. She didn't use her corrupted spatial magic. This was purely physical. She closed the gap in a fraction of a second. Her shape was a blur against the dark rocks. She feinted left, planted her boot against a virtual crag, and launched herself directly at his chest.
Sephiroth didn't even draw Masamune. With fluid, terrifyingly precise grace, he side-stepped her initial strike, caught her right wrist in a steel grip, and pivoted.
But Bianca used his momentum against him. She spun in mid-air, wrapped her legs around his waist over his dark trousers, and drove her face directly into the juncture of his neck and shoulder just before his pauldron started.
She bit down deep through the tough, stiff, heavy leather collar. Her sharp fangs caught the muscle of his neck through his skin.
Sephiroth didn't flinch, didn't yell, and didn't drop her. He simply stood there, absorbing the impact, feeling the familiar, sharp sting of her teeth. Through the delicate, glowing Red Thread of Fate wrapped invisibly around their wrists, a wave of familiar, chaotic warmth surged between them: her playfulness, her lingering trauma, her stubborn refusal to be broken by the corporate walls outside this room.
He knew why she did it. It was a physical anchor. It was a visceral reminder that despite the experiments, the Shinra logos, and the rigid classifications, they were real. They were alive.
Slowly, effortlessly, Sephiroth reached up with his free hand. His leather-clad fingers gently caught her black hair right behind her white ribbon, cradling the back of her head.
"Satisfied?" Sephiroth asked softly. His dry, low voice carried through the private proximity link rather than the main comms.
Bianca released her bite, leaving a distinct, reddening mark on his neck. She looked up at him, as a cat-like, cheshire grin slowly spreading across her face.
"Nearly," she whispered.
Reaching down with fingers, Bianca hooked them beneath the leather SOLDIER suspenders crossed over his bare chest, pulled them taut, and let them snap back against his skin with a sharp CRACK: leather snapping against flesh.
"Hey!" Zack roared over the comms, cracking up with laughter. "She got Sephiroth! She actually got him!"
Sephiroth didn't even blink, though the subtle warmth in his cyan eyes deepened as he gently set Bianca back down on her feet.
"Training session complete," Angeal announced from the control room. The flip phone closed with a soft click as he aborted the simulation.

Key Concept: The Architecture of Infernal Stasis in Fantasy Worlds Collide
In the pre-Kilonova era, the infernal plane of Umbralyth stands as a testament to engineered tyranny: a closed-system cosmos constructed by Lucifer to prove that order requires neither grace nor mercy. Rather than evolving through organic selection, Umbralyth’s geography and indigenous life forms function as an environmental weapon directly tied to the Seven Deadly Sins and governed by the immutable parameters of the Black Codex. From the motionless, time-dilated mucks of Sloth to the parasitic, agency-stripping paradises of Lust, every biome operates as a predatory loop designed to metabolize spiritual degradation and enforce psychological fixation.
Unyielding to external celestial intervention and impervious to genuine transformation, Umbralyth’s ecology converts endless internal suffering into systemic stability, locking its inhabitants into an inescapable, self-consuming equilibrium until the inevitable cosmic reset.
Possible Trigger Warnings: parasitic flora, psychological torture, sexual content, violence
In the cosmological architecture of the pre-Kilonova era, the infernal plane of Umbralyth exists not as a naturally evolved ecosystem, but as a weaponized, counter-created design. Conceived by Lucifer, Lord of Shadows, as a mirror-world designed to demonstrate that structural order requires neither grace nor mercy. Umbralyth functions as a totalizing, closed-system environment.
Unlike mortal worlds where ecology adapts dynamically to organic processes, the physical and biological characteristics of Umbralyth are directly bound to the Seven Deadly Sins and governed by the immutable parameters of the Black Codex. The realm’s ecological features actively enforce systemic permanence through mechanical inevitability while viciously resisting any change that threatens the overarching dominion of the Infernal Crown.
Biomes of Stasis: Environmental Enforcement
The physical geography of Umbralyth is divided into seven distinct regional dominions, each governed by an Abyxus Primarch (Archdemon) and tailored to metabolize a specific form of spiritual degradation. Rather than supporting self-sustaining food webs or natural cycles, these biomes function as environmental traps designed to enforce psychological and physical fixation.
In the Kingdom of Sloth, governed by Belphegor, the terrain actively enforces stasis through environmental stagnation. Regions such as the Valley of Apathy, the Marshes of Indolence, and the Rivers of Lethargy present heavy, unyielding atmospheres shrouded in gray clouds and motionless mucks.
Time within these biomes feels slowed to a crawl. Nothing grows, nothing decays further, and the air itself remains perpetually stagnant. Indigenous fauna, such as the sluggish Darters and the perpetually sleeping Snorers, mirror this physical inertia, creating an ecosystem that suppresses active movement, ambition, or ecological succession. The environment itself operates as a trap of total apathy, making organic change or adaptation virtually impossible.
Conversely, where biomes exhibit high environmental activity, that activity is strictly cyclical and trapped in self-consuming loops. In the Kingdom of Gluttony, the landscape is defined by vast Swamps of Waste, Mountains of Excess, and Caverns of Overindulgence. Fauna like the burrowing Glutigers, the lumbering Bloatbeasts, and the aquatic Bloatwyrms consume matter endlessly, leaving trails of corrosive mucus and foul, plant-withering breath.
Yet, despite this constant consumption and destruction, the biome never exhausts itself or evolves. It remains perpetually locked in a state of rotting, overstuffed equilibrium. The ecology enforces the sin by ensuring that satiety is structurally unachievable, locking living entities into infinite consumption without transformation.
Biological Adaptation and Sin-Centric Equilibrium
Whether engineered beasts, specialized demons, or corrupted flora, the indigenous species of Umbralyth are biologically optimized to enforce domain stability. Organisms do not evolve through natural selection driven by resource scarcity. Instead, their physiology is sustained directly by ambient sin energy, personal essence, and the life fluids of mortal and infernal entities.
In the Kingdom of Lust, the environment presents an illusory, seductive paradise consisting of Sensual Valleys, Enchanted Forests, and beaches bathed in Eternal Twilight. However, this vibrant flora is parasitic, exuding intoxicating scents designed to strip visitors of agency. The fauna utilize hypnotic gazes, enchanting songs, and tactile lures to feed upon life fluids.
These essential fluids (blood, semen, and vaginal secretions) act as the primary conduits of raw vitality and soulprints within the plane. When feeding occurs, these creatures absorb life force to fuel their own power while draining the victim's agency, effectively binding the victim into an energetic loop that reinforces the biome's predatory structure.
In the Kingdom of Envy, the ecology relies on systemic corrosion and psychological disruption to prevent any unified entity from altering the status quo. Biomes like the Caves of Covetousness and the Fields of Discontent are inhabited by species such as the Grudgeworm, which burrows through the earth feeding on resentment, and the shape-shifting Shadowsprite, which mimics victims to sow paranoia.
Because Envy feeds on perceived inequality, its ecology actively destabilizes any attempt at internal solidarity among its inhabitants. The moment a group or entity attempts to organize structural change, the ambient magic and indigenous fauna exploit latent jealousies, causing the collective force to fracture and collapse back into isolated resentment.
Structural Laws and Resistance to External Change
The most defining feature of Umbralyth’s ecology is its absolute resistance to systemic transformation, a trait hardcoded into the realm by Lucifer through the Black Codex.
While individual rulers may plot, territory may shift during sanctioned internal skirmishes, and biomes may exhibit localized volatility, the fundamental laws of the realm remain entirely unyielding.
Natural physical laws like gravity, geometry, and temporal flow are inherently unstable in Umbralyth, taking backseats to the metaphysical dictates of the governing Archdemons.
However, this instability is controlled rather than chaotic. The realm enforces strict conservation limits. Magic cannot create true life or matter from nothing, nor can it grant absolution or undo fundamental metaphysical events. Any attempt by an inhabitant or external force to introduce holy grace, true redemption, or ecological restoration triggers violent regional backlashes.
When celestial energy or purified forces breach the Abyssal threshold, the ecology reacts with aggressive hostility. In the Kingdom of Wrath, Volcanic Wastelands, Rivers of Blood, and Canyons of Rage respond to foreign intrusion with immediate environmental escalation.
Entities such as the Banshees of Fury, Hellhounds, and Furies act as an immune response, deploying devastating elemental attacks, fiery whips, and mind-shattering wails to neutralize the anomaly. The landscape itself shifts. Lava flows re-route to seal breaches, and ash storms choke out external light. All of this ensures that divine or uncorrupted elements are either thoroughly consumed, corrupted into Abyssal equivalents, or cast into the absolute erasure of the Lake of Fire.
The Abyssal Realm features Personal Hells: dungeon-like constructs that manifest directly from a soul’s internal guilt and sin. These localized environments operate under rigid psychological loops where sinners are forced to endlessly relive their transgressions from the perspective of their victims. The environment within a Personal Hell is hyper-reactive to emotional states. Rage triggers volcanic eruptions, while sloth drains all physical color.
Yet, despite this extreme responsiveness, these environments strictly prohibit true healing or atonement. The world is alive and fully aware, but its sole purpose is to break identity and enforce the eternal repetition of trauma.
The pre-Kilonova ecology of Umbralyth is a class in engineered tyranny. It is an environment designed to metabolize its own internal dysfunction. By transforming suffering into a resource, desire into a leash, and environmental volatility into a closed loop, Umbralyth’s ecological framework ensures that while the realm endlessly consumes itself, its underlying structure remains completely impervious to genuine change until the ultimate, cosmic reset of the Kilonova.
*F!Sephiroth is sitting in an armchair in the den reading a book. Moments later a scream and a loud crash could be heard from one of the bedrooms: Felix was having a night terror. F!Sephiroth stood so fast the chair toppled over and he rushed to the bedroom. About 10 minutes later he returned, carrying a sleeping Felix, who was transformed and clinging to his Seph like a koala. F!Sephiroth gently layed back on the worn leather couch, Felix on top of him, sleeping with his ear pressed to his Seph’s chest, listening to his calming heartbeat. F!Seph noticed Bianca nearby, and he smiled wearily, idly stroking Felix’s back and along their shared mating marks, which were glowing a gentle pink.*
“No matter how many times he has these night terrors, I never seem to get used to their occurence,” *F!Seph said with a soft sigh,* “Scares me to the core to see him in so much pain.”
Good morning. I hope you have a wonderful day today. This was a wonderful ask, and I did some character development with Bianca's powers to show some of her weaknesses with it. So, thank you for asking it. I also loved Felix here.
Possible Trigger Warnings: bone injury, intrusive thoughts, night terrors, trauma, PTSD, physical injury
Possible Tropes: Alternate Universe-Canon Divergent, Angel Protagonist, Hurt/Comfort, Multiverse, Nightmares, Protective Male Lead, Red Thread of Fate, Soulmates, Alternate Dimension Travel, Crossover, Found Family, Protective Instincts, Whump, Hybrid Character, Spatial Magic, Interdimensional Travel, Touch-and-Go Comfort, Soul Bond, Domestic Bliss, Mental Anchor, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
The dimensional fracture always smelled of ozone and wet ash: a sharp, metallic bite that lingered on the back of Bianca’s tongue long before the light began to bleed through the air.
When the spatial seam tore open in the quiet den, she did not step through so much as spill into the room. Her physical form wavered like a dying ember. The interdimensional rift snapped shut behind her with a sound like a muted whip-crack, leaving her standing on a rug that was entirely foreign, in a room bathed in the soft, golden amber of a low-burning fireplace.
Her knees buckled immediately. The sheer strain of navigating the hyper-spatial corridors—stretching her corrupted, extra-planar magic across reality to visit other threads of existence—always extracted a steep price from her hybrid body.
She caught herself against the arm of a worn leather couch. Her blood-red stiletto nails dug into the cracked material to keep her balance.
Then her indigo eyes adjusted to the dim light, and her breath hitched in her throat.
Sephiroth was there. But he wasn't her Sephiroth.
He sat on the worn leather sofa, his towering frame curved inward in a posture of absolute, tender protection. Laying directly on top of him, clinging to his chest like a sleeping koala, was Felix. The young man was still half-transformed, his chimera-like features soft in slumber, his animalistic ears twitching lightly against the steady, rhythmic beat of the silver-haired man's heart.
Across the junction of their necks and shoulders, their shared marking glowed with a delicate, pulsing pink light: a warm, ethereal radiance that cast soft shadows across the den.
The silver-haired man noticed her presence. He did not reach for a weapon, nor did his posture harden into the razor-sharp tactical readiness Bianca was used to seeing in combat environments.
Instead, F!Sephiroth offered her a tired, infinitely gentle smile. His gloved fingers continued to stroke Felix’s back in slow, rhythmic motions, soothing the lingering tremors of the night terror that had just passed.
“No matter how many times he has these night terrors, I never seem to get used to their occurrence,” F!Sephiroth said, his voice a low, rumbling hush that barely disturbed the quiet room. “Scares me to the core to see him in so much pain.”
Bianca leaned heavily against the side of the sofa. Her large, ornamental black wings dropped with sheer exhaustion. The indigo undersides caught the hearthlight while starlight danced off of the blackened coverts.
Despite the agonizing ache in her shattered humerus bones and the cold static buzzing in her veins, a profound, protective warmth blossomed in her chest.
She looked at Felix. She viewed the young man as family: a younger brother forged in the strange, overlapping webs of fate that bound their lives across worlds. Seeing him safe, anchored so completely against the chest of a man who loved him, eased the sharp edge of her own exhaustion.
She kept her distance. She did not reach out to touch this version of the silver-haired SOLDIER, nor did the familiar, intimate name Seph even cross her mind. To her, that name belonged to one man alone: the soul-twin who held the other end of her glowing Red Thread. This man was a guardian, a pillar of strength for a brother she cherished, but he was a different soul entirely.
"He's safe now," Bianca murmured, her voice raspy, soft, and laced with genuine affection for the sleeping chimera. She gave F!Sephiroth a small, deeply respectful nod: a silent acknowledgment between two protectors who knew the crushing weight of keeping a fragile heart alive. "You brought him back. That's what matters."
F!Sephiroth’s cyan eyes softened further. His cat-like pupils dilated in the warm light as he inclined his head toward her in quiet gratitude. He shifted slightly, tucking Felix closer against his collarbone, allowing his mate's breathing to level out into a deep, uninterrupted rhythm.
Bianca felt the spatial tether at her wrist snap taut. Her time in this realm was up. Her body was rejecting the foreign frequency of this reality, and her celestial-demonic blood violently demanded to return to its home anchor.
"Take care of him," Bianca whispered. Her vision began to blur into streaks of white and indigo light.
Before F!Sephiroth could answer, reality folded in on itself. The den vanished in a blinding flash of spatial distortion. The warm smell of leather and woodsmoke replaced instantly by the crisp, biting mountain air of the Wutai peaks.
Bianca rematerialized in the center of the cottage in Rinnos. Her legs gave out completely this time, and she collapsed toward the wooden floorboards.
She never hit the ground.
A pair of massive, slate-gray clad arms caught her effortlessly mid-fall, scooping her small frame against a broad, solid chest. The scent of ozone, high-altitude snow, and fresh artisanal bread filled her senses instantly, washing away the cold disorientation of the void.
"Bianca!"
Sephiroth’s voice was laced with a rare, raw panic that he only ever allowed inside the privacy of their home. His cyan eyes, glowing intensely in the dim light of their hearth, scanned every inch of her face, her wings, and her limbs, as she gripped her chest and puffed out air.
The glowing cord of the Red Ribbon of Fate wrapped around their wrists flared into a brilliant, frantic crimson, transmitting the absolute wave of concern, fear, and desperate love pouring from his heart into hers.
"You were gone too long this time," Sephiroth rasped. His broad hand cupped the back of her head, pressing her forehead gently against his own while his other arm locked around her waist like an iron band. "The link went static."
Bianca let out a long, shaky breath, her hands rising weakly to grip the heavy wool of his slate-gray cotton. She closed her eyes, letting his familiar, steady heartbeat wash over her, grounding her scattered magic back into her chest.
Her corrupted energy slowly stabilized. The chaotic shadows receded.
She tilted her head up. her deep indigo eyes meeting his cyan gaze. A faint, tired, but deeply affectionate smile tugged at her lips.
"I'm alright, Seph," she whispered. Her voice was a barely a breath against his cheek. "I'm back. I'm right here."
Sephiroth let out a shaky exhale, his forehead remaining pressed to hers as his grip tightened, burying his face into her waist-length black hair. The sheer relief radiated through their soul-link was intoxicating, dulling the lingering ache in her body.
Bianca reached up, her blood-red stiletto nails gently tracing the sharp line of his jawline, marveling at the familiar, grounded reality of the man who shared her soul.
"I went somewhere strange this time," she murmured softly, a small, bemused chuckle catching in her throat. "I saw Felix. He was sleeping. I think he was recovering from a nightmare."
Sephiroth pulled back just enough to look at her. His brow furrowed in quiet, protective curiosity. "Was he harmed?"
"No," Bianca said gently, her thumb caressing his cheekbone. She leaned her head back against his shoulder, letting her weight rest completely in his arms. "He was safe. But. . .Seph, it is so impossibly strange to see another version of you. To see your face, your hair, your voice. . .but know, deep in my soul, that it isn't my Sephiroth."
Sephiroth’s gaze softened into an expression of profound, romantic tenderness. He shifted his broad frame, adjusting his hold to cradle her effortlessly against his chest as he walked toward the cozy, hearthside couch. He sat down with her in his lap, wrapping a heavy, dark wool blanket around her shivering shoulders and tucking her ornamental wings comfortably against her sides and back, careful not to jostle her.
"There is only one of me that belongs to you," Sephiroth whispered. His left hand came down to cover hers. Their fingers intertwined so the glowing Red Ribbon rested snugly between their palms. "And there is only one Angel who holds this Sephiroth's heart. How could you not?"
He paused, the quiet of the room settling over them, heavy with the unsaid weight of everything they had survived: and everything that still threatened to tear them apart. His thumb stroked the back of her hand, tracing the delicate line of her skin down to the glowing pulse of the ribbon.
When he spoke again, his voice dropped lower, carrying a raw, dark vulnerability he rarely allowed anyone else but Bianca to see. "When you broke Jenova’s hold at Nibelheim, you didn't just save my mind. You banished those voices. You forced the impulses, the whispers, the cold alien filth that wanted to consume me into the darkest, most isolated corner of my mind." His cyan eyes locked onto hers, burning with an intense, desperate need.
"When you are beside me, your celestial aura anchors my mind and holds the static at bay," he murmured into the quiet room, "but the moment you step beyond my sight, the silence breaks. Those alien impulses crawl out from the dark, clawing at the edges of my thoughts to drag me back into the abyss. I am a fool, perhaps, consumed by a terror I cannot master, but I am terrified that if you walk away into a world that bled us both, you will face a threat I cannot tear apart in time, and I will be left here in the quiet with nothing of you left."
Bianca did not answer with words. Instead, she melted deeper into his broad chest, letting his steady, rhythmic heartbeat wash over her as the warm, familiar scent of leather, cedar, and home wrapped around her like a shield.
She let her eyes drift closed, anchoring her corrupted magic to the heavy pulse thumping in her chest, and surrendered completely to a safe, uninterrupted sleep within the sanctuary of his arms.
Understanding the Genre Architecture of Fantasy Worlds Collide (FWC)
To fully grasp Fantasy Worlds Collide (FWC), one must first dismantle standard expectations of literary categorization. Spanning millions of years, multiple realities, and deep psychological trauma, FWC is a sprawling narrative experiment. At its core, FWC is an Omniverse governed by the principles of Apocalyptic Mythpunk: a macro-genre framework that redefines how mythology, science fiction, dark fantasy, and pop-culture mythos interact.
While individual arcs within the project utilize established fanfiction settings—most notably the Final Fantasy VII compilation—FWC as a whole is an original work. It is a massive, multi-dimensional story that uses fanfiction elements not as a crutch, but as a deliberate narrative mechanism to explore trauma, fate, and cosmic rebirth.
What is an Omniverse?
In modern fiction, a "multiverse" typically refers to a single universe with branching timelines or parallel dimensions sharing the same physical laws. An Omniverse, however, is a much larger structural container.
An Omniverse encompasses all possible multiverses, alternate dimensions, timelines, and mythological planes, regardless of whether they operate under sci-fi mechanics, high fantasy magic, or dark gothic rules. In FWC, the Omniverse is the master framework. It allows a 1990s Seattle street market, a subterranean Templar catacomb, the high-tech mako-choked metropolis of Midgar, friendly OC incursions with (@sapphirothcrescent, @kitcatling, @nightmaricwriter, @syntheticdesign02, @felix-winged-kitsune-derg) and the ancient divine planes of Heaven (Caelora) and Hell (Umbralyth) to exist within the exact same structural continuum.
Rather than isolated stories, every arc in FWC is a localized node inside this single, interconnected web. Events occurring on a mortal Earth trigger immediate, sympathetic resonance across dimensions into planetary sci-fi realities like Gaia, driving the universe toward a single, inevitable point of convergence.
Genre Flow of the Full FWC Chronology
The master arc of FWC moves across four primary chronological phases. The overarching narrative transitions from grounded, contemporary dark fantasy into corporate sci-fi horror, escalates into universal cosmic devastation, and finally settles into a high-fantasy mythic pantheon.
PANDEMONIX: Dark Contemporary Fantasy & Gothic Horror (1990s Earth, Secret Societies, Angelic/Demonic Incursions)
THE FF7 DIVERGENT ARC: Science-Fantasy & Corporate Body Horror & Fanfic (Project Nephilim, Multiversal Soul-Fracture, The Cosmic Harvest)
THE KILONOVA CRISIS: Cosmic Horror & Universal Apocalyptic Deconstruction (Starvation of Death, Deicide, The Kilonova Singularity)
THE GODLING ARC: Dark High Fantasy & Post-Apocalyptic Pantheon Mythos (Shinentai Gestation, The Sundering, The Tri-Planar Government, New Greek-like Pantheon)
Breakdown of Each Genre per Arc
Pandemonix: Dark Contemporary Fantasy & Gothic Horror
The entry point of FWC is grounded in 1990s urban realism, dark contemporary fantasy, and gothic esoterica. Setting its roots in wet Pacific Northwest asphalt, Tuscan estates, and subterranean Templar catacombs, this arc blends real-world grunge aesthetics with ancient ecclesiastical lore.
Key Genre Markers: Secret societies (The Order of Divvik), vampiric political clutches (House of Delacroix), demonic cults, and personal, localized body horror (such as ritualistic flaying).
The Atmospheric Weight: Claustrophobic, paranoid, and visceral. It focuses on mortal trauma, weaponized empathy, and the hidden wars waged behind the veil of ordinary human life.
The FF7 Divergent Arc: Science-Fantasy & Corporate Body Horror
As the narrative shifts across the dimensional veil to Gaia, the genre transitions into corporate sci-fi, dark science-fantasy, and psychological horror. This specific arc represents the only "true" fanfiction component within the entire FWC framework. Here, the familiar corporate, environmental, and character struggles of Final Fantasy VII are directly intersected and infected by cosmic outsider dread.
Key Genre Markers: High-tech Mako industrialism, fanfiction AU re-contextualization, unethical genetic engineering, live vivisection (Project Nephilim), forced reproduction, and multiversal soul-harvesting.
The Atmospheric Weight: Clinical, sterile, and tragic. It explores how corporate overreach and scientific arrogance reduce divine beings to biological assets, triggering a multiversal soul-fracture that spans parallel realities while fundamentally altering the canonical events of Gaia after FF7 OG.
The Kilonova Crisis: Cosmic Horror & Apocalyptic Mythpunk
Extending over a billion-year timeline, this arc leaves behind localized worlds to enter pure cosmic horror and apocalyptic deconstruction. Here, FWC fully embraces Apocalyptic Mythpunk: a subgenre that takes classical mythological figures, angelic hierarchies, and demonic pantheon structures and deconstructs them through a cold, cosmic lens.
Key Genre Markers: Universal extinction, the starvation of Death and its Grim Reapers, divine cannibalism, and extreme spatial collapse.
The Atmospheric Weight: Oppressive, monumental, and apocalyptic. It tracks the complete liquidation of Heaven (Caelora) and Hell (Umbralyth), culminating in the Kilonova Singularity: the absolute annihilation of the old creation.
The Godling Arc: Dark High Fantasy & Post-Apocalyptic Pantheon Mythos
Following the collapse of the old cosmos and a two-billion-year void, the final arc settles into dark high fantasy and divine pantheon governance. It shifts from absolute destruction to the slow, deliberate reconstruction of a brand-new reality.
Key Genre Markers: Shinentai (thought-form) godling gestation, tri-planar soul sorting, divine family sagas, and cosmological lawmaking.
The Atmospheric Weight: Mythic, regal, and fiercely protective. It replaces the horror of the old world with a structured, dark matriarchy and patriarchate (The Trichotomy of Divine Rule), focusing on trauma inversion and the protection of new life.
Fanfiction Elements in FWC: What They Actually Do
A common point of confusion for new readers is the inclusion of canonical characters like Sephiroth, Cloud Strife, or Genesis Rhapsodos alongside original cast members like Bianca Moore or Kayla Winters.
When I talk about FWC, sometimes I am asked, does the inclusion of an established fictional world make FWC a fanfiction project as a whole?
The short answer is no.
In the architecture of FWC, fanfiction elements do not serve as the end goal. They serve as narrative raw material. FWC utilizes existing fictional realities as localized multiversal "echoes" or testing grounds within its broader Omniverse.
So, what does those elements actually accomplish within the narrative?
Deconstruction of Tropes: FWC takes established pop-culture mythos (like Shinra, Mako, or SOLDIER) and subjects them to rigorous, real-world psychological and metaphysical consequences. Canonical figures are stripped of their static roles and re-analyzed through themes of severe trauma, biological dependency (S and Jenova cells), and cosmic fate.
The Multiversal Anchor: The FF7 continuum acts as one specific stop on a multi-billion-year timeline. It is the crucible where the core soul-bond (Filum Aeternum) is tested and fractured, providing the emotional and biological catalyst required to push the narrative into the broader original mythos of The Kilonova Crisis and The Godling Arc.
Repurposing Lore into Original Mythology: Characters like the Remnants (Kadaj, Loz, Yazoo) are not just lingering ghosts from a film sequel. Their spiritual memories and Bianca’s grief over them are harvested, dismantled, and repurposed to create entirely original, original-lore godlings (Aurora and Lucien) in the post-apocalyptic era.
By using familiar pop-culture mythologies as a stepping stone into a vast, original cosmology, FWC operates in the tradition of classical mythmakers: taking known cultural stories and reshaping them into an entirely new, original epic.
So, What is the Genre of FWC?
An Apocalyptic Mythpunk & Cosmic Fantasy Omniverse
It is a macro-genre story that combines the gritty realism of dark contemporary fantasy, the clinical horror of corporate science fiction, the staggering scale of cosmic deconstruction, and the majesty of a dark high-fantasy pantheon.
It is an epic built on the idea that trauma can be inverted, dogma can be shattered, and love—when pushed to its absolute cosmic extreme—can tear down a broken universe to forge a safer one in the eyes of the protagonists from the ashes.

Updated: July 22, 2026
Summary: Following the Kilonova Singularity and a two-billion-year span of absolute, silent rule over a collapsed cosmic vacuum, the Active Sovereigns—Sephiroth (the Dark Half) and Bianca Moore (the Sovereign Godhead)—stand as the sole governing forces of existence. Bound by the unbreakable Filum Aeternum (the Red String of Fate), their dynamic has matured from a violent, destructive odyssey of trauma and multiversal harvesting into an ironclad, dark dyad. However, the void of absolute dominance is eventually broken by Bianca’s lingering grief over her past atrocities: specifically her manipulative, false mothering of the Remnants (Kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo) during the old world's death throes. Refusing to let her legacy rest upon discarded ghosts, Bianca utilizes her refined, corrupted reality magic to weave cosmic dust, starlight, and the harvested grief of the Remnants into two living, divine heirs: the twins Aurora and Lucien.
Gestated in cosmic reality cocoons within the Ethereal Nexus, these Shinentai (thought-form) godlings are hatched not through mortal biology, but through sovereign invocation. Their early existence is immediately tested by Sephiroth’s brutal discipline. At Year 5, Sephiroth subjects the young godlings to The Sundering: a merciless martial and mental crucible designed to forge them for an unforgiving universe. Fearing her children will be broken by the same cold, engineered cruelty that defined Sephiroth’s origins under Shinra and Hojo, Bianca intervenes in her true, 55-foot Corrupted Draconic Phoenix form. The resulting clash between the Active Sovereigns tears the fabric of reality, culminating in a pivotal moment where Bianca’s spilled celestial-infernal blood harmonizes with Sephiroth’s S-cells. This spiritual alchemy permanently subdues, tames, and silences the lingering, parasitic "Hive-Speak" of Jenova within Sephiroth, granting him true self-mastery and shifting his view of the twins from weapons to sacred heirs.
With the alien parasite finally conquered and Sephiroth’s mind liberated from its intrusive noise, the Active Sovereigns formalize The Trichotomy of Divine Rule. Reality is partitioned into three distinct, interconnected realms designed to balance order, dominance, and the physical cosmos. Lucien ascends to govern the Celestial Realm (Caelora), a kingdom of harmonic architecture, luminous bureaucracy, and strict cosmic order. Aurora claims the Abyssal Realm, a dark, infernal plane of military strength, void-magic, and an all-female court. Sephiroth and Bianca maintain their seat at Elyrion on the Mortal Plane, operating as the supreme anchors of the underworld who judge and route every departing soul across the multiverse via the Pathway of Reality.
Bianca Moore (The Matriarch of Rebirth / Sovereign Godhead / Dark Queen): Transitioned from a traumatized, fugitive Nephilim into the calm, ineffable Matriarch of Rebirth. Her agency is fully realized through The Sovereign Divide: a protective hegemony designed to ensure her family remains untouchable by the old world’s cycles of abuse. Her guilt over the Remnants is transformed into the physical creation of her twins, proving her capacity to act as a true Mother. Lawful Evil Sovereign. Deeply empathetic to her family yet utterly merciless to the outside cosmos. She uses her draconic-phoenix power not to devour, but to provide a absolute sanctuary where her lineage can thrive without genetic degradation or external interference.
Sephiroth (The Dark Half / Sovereign of Existence / Consort): Evolved from a SOLDIER war hero and thrall of Jenova into a Tier A Nexus Deity and the Sovereign of the Mortal Plane. Having permanently subdued the parasitic whispers of Jenova through the alchemy of Bianca’s blood during The Sundering, he operates with crystalline self-mastery. He has shifted from a chaotic destroyer of worlds into a stern, protective patriarch who guards his lineage with absolute tactical precision. : Lawful Evil/Neutral (INTJ, Type 8). Highly disciplined, quietly authoritative, and intensely protective. His fatal flaw—Paternal Protection—manifests in his rigorous expectations for his children, though his former coldness has thawed into a quiet, grounded devotion to Bianca and the twins.
Aurora Moore (Sovereign of the Abyss): Twin sister to Lucien, forged by Bianca’s reality magic to embody a blend of celestial divinity, infernal corruption, and Jenova-type morphology (recontextualizing the traits of Kadaj and Yazoo). She acts as the Sovereign of the Abyssal Realm, governing an infernal, war-focused plane with absolute authority and maintaining a court composed entirely of female-presenting entities. Driven by an obsession with perfection and control to prove herself worthy of her parents' divine legacy. Beneath her ruthless, regal exterior lies a intense, protective devotion to her brother Lucien and a desire for parental validation.
Lucien Moore (Sovereign of the Celestial Realm): Twin brother to Aurora, forged from corrupted reality magic to serve as the divine arbiter of balance, light, and order (recontextualizing traits of Loz and Yazoo). As Sovereign of the Celestial Realm (Caelora), he governs through divine logic, managing celestial law, temporal mechanics, and the Aether Pillars. Calm, calculated, and deeply reserved. His fatal flaw is an obsession with symmetry and emotional suppression, leading to profound isolation. He struggles with the knowledge that while he can bend, warp, and balance reality, he lacks his mother’s ability to create life from nothing. Is NOT nonverbal in main canon.
Jenova (The Calamity / Subjugated Seed): Once an extraterrestrial viral parasite that consumed civilizations, Jenova has been completely conquered within this timeline. Her biological mass, cellular adaptation traits, and spatial warping properties have been stripped of independent agency and inverted by Bianca’s celestial bloodline. She exists not as a master manipulator, but as a subjugated genetic resource: an unwilling seedbed utilized to anchor the godlings' physical stability and fuel their weapon mechanics. Her ancient parasitic consciousness ("Hive-Speak") is silenced under the absolute will of Sephiroth and Bianca.
Altered Core Dynamics
The core interpersonal dynamics of this universe are defined by absolute unity at the top, structural hierarchy throughout the planes, and profound internal protective instincts:
The Active Sovereigns (Sephiroth & Bianca): Their dynamic is an unbreakable Dark Dyad governed by the Filum Aeternum (Red String of Fate). The thread physically wraps around their wrists, glowing in response to emotion, equalizing pain, and facilitating instant telepathic and sensory link. Sephiroth acts as the unyielding, martial anchor, while Bianca acts as the reality architect and emotional center. Sephiroth’s former messianic narcissism is wholly subordinated to his devotion to Bianca and the protection of their divine lineage.
The Godling Twins (Aurora & Lucien): They function as complementary cosmic opposites. Aurora as the volatile abyssal flame and Lucien as the still celestial starlight. Bound by their shared origins in The Nest and the collective trauma of The Sundering, their bond is untouchable. Aurora’s primary vulnerability is her protective irrationality regarding Lucien, while Lucien will rewrite cosmic law to ensure Aurora’s survival.
Parental Governance: Bianca interacts with her children through intense, tactile, and nurturing maternal dynamics: frequently preening their wings, clicking her jaws in dragon-like soothing rhythms, and using her reality magic to siphon away their nightmares. Sephiroth demands absolute martial excellence, but his initial coldness has evolved into a silent, impenetrable guard. Both godlings revere Bianca as their ultimate shield and origin while holding Sephiroth in disciplined, awe-inspired reverence.
🗺️ World-building & Environment
THE CELESTIAL REALM (Caelora) • Sovereign: Lucien • Domain: Light, Order, Law
THE ABYSSAL REALM (Umbralyth) • Sovereign: Aurora • Domain: Darkness, War, Entropy
The universe of the Godling Arc is a stark, high-fantasy cosmos constructed upon the ruins of the old multiverse.
Elyrion: The physical center of existence, characterized by ancient, minimalist architecture, fractured buildings, obsidian throngs, mist-covered border waters, and vast cosmic vistas. The atmosphere is quiet, heavy with divine presence, and visually defined by deep midnight blacks and fractured silver starlight.
The Celestial Realm (Caelora): A domain of soaring, architectural spires, crystal mirrors, suspended gardens, and harmonic light. It is immaculate, silent, and mathematically balanced, bathed in silvery-white and deep indigo hues.
The Abyssal Realm (Umbralyth): A dark, imposing plane built from volcanic rock, celestial obsidian gardens, and glowing infernal spires. The air hums with raw void energy, surrounded by purple miasma, dark starlight, and celestial fire.
Governing Mechanics & Lore Rules
Shinentai Gestation & Realization: Divine godlings are not birthed through mortal physiology. They are formed as Shinentai (thought-forms) within The Nest: a cosmic sanctuary constructed in Elyrion from collapsed timelines and soul-essence. Gestated within heavy reality cocoons infused with maternal miasma, they hatch only when their consciousness achieves critical mass and their true, sacred names are spoken by the Sovereign Mother.
The Pathway of Reality & Soul Sorting: All departing souls from across the multiverse manifest at the Border Waters:a neutral, misty threshold. Carrying the weight of their mortal lives, they are brought before the Sovereign Throne at Elyrion:
The Celestial Spires (Lucien’s Domain): Souls aligned with light, creation, and harmony ascend through the Aether Pillars to Caelora for eternal peace or intellectual ascension.
The Abyssal Deeps (Aurora’s Domain): Souls burdened by unatoned malice, destructive ambition, or corruption are plunged into the lower vaults of the Abyss to be bound into service or refined through labor.
The Asphodel Neutrality / Reincarnation (Bianca and Sephiroth’s Prerogative): Neutral souls, or those claimed by Bianca and Sephiroth under her authority over life and death, are cleansed and returned to the mortal coil to maintain cosmic balance.
The Filum Aeternum (Red String of Fate): A physical and metaphysical bond connecting Sephiroth and Bianca. It automatically balances physical trauma (dulling injuries sustained by one by sharing the sensory load), enables multi-dimensional telepathy, a dreamscape that resembles the old Moonlight Forest of Caelora, and glows visually with emotional shifts.
Societal Factions & Group Dynamics
The Sovereign Pantheon (The Tri-Planar Government): The supreme governing council consisting of Sephiroth, Bianca, Lucien, and Aurora. Policy is established through Sephiroth’s absolute tactical logic and Bianca’s maternal authority, with Lucien and Aurora executing divine law across their respective realms.
The Celestial Court of Caelora: Governed by Lucien, featuring six divine lieutenants holding specific court aspects: Solarius (Sun & Valor), Astraea (Starlight & Prophecy), Vaelen (Forge & Earth), Zephira (Air & Renewal), Kaelen (Pure Arcana), and Elysia (Life & Unity).
The Abyssal Court: Governed by Aurora, an all-female court composed of six lieutenants enforcing martial order: Nyxara (Deep Void), Ignisa (Ash & Hellfire), Thalassa (Depths), Maelora (Necromancy & Rebirth), Obsidia (Dread Sentinel), and Vespera (Midnight Oracle).

Author’s Note: Today, July 22nd, marks Lucrecia’s canonical birthday: a day for a character who endured far too much tragedy in the main story. Wanting nothing more than to finally give her the warmth and healing she truly deserves, I wrote this soft family piece set in my Redemption!AU.
The heavy cedar door of the Rinnos cottage kept the biting, high-altitude mountain wind at bay, sealing in an atmosphere thick with the scents of roasting winter squash, steeping chamomile, and warm vanilla.
Outside, the jagged peaks of Wutai were obscured by a dense, slate-gray monsoon fog, but inside, the sunken irori hearth crackled with steady, golden cedar heat.
In the open kitchen, Bianca wiped a trace of wheat flour from her cheek with the back of her hand, leaving a faint white smudge across her fair skin.
Her long, prehensile tongue flicked out absentmindedly to capture a drop of sweet batter as she carefully set a triple-layered sponge cake onto the wooden counter. Her black-and-indigo hair was held back in its usual half-up style by her worn white ribbon—an engagement promise from Sephiroth long ago.
Beside her, two pairs of hands were busily at work decorating the frosting.
"More berries on this side, Lucien," twenty-one-year-old Aurora instructed softly. Her silver-white hair shimmering under the warm lantern light. Her pearlescent, pure white wings were neatly folded behind her back, though the feathered tips brushed gently against the floor as she adjusted her posture. "Nonna likes the tart ones from the riverbank."
Sitting on a low wooden stool next to his twin sister, Lucien didn't speak. Instead, he tilted his head. His glowing indigo eyes with their subtle feline pupils scanned the top of the cake with absolute, quiet focus. He pulled a small handful of fresh, dark mountain berries from a ceramic bowl, and arranged them in a precise, geometric circle around the perimeter.
He gave a single, satisfied nod, leaning his dark-feathered, charcoal-gray wings inward just a fraction: a silent, comfortable sign of agreement.
"It’s perfect, you two," Bianca said, her voice rich with an affectionate warmth that completely erased the lingering phantom pain in her scarred midsection and shattered wing-bones.
She reached out, as she patted Lucien’s shoulder. "Your grandmother is going to be overwhelmed."
From the doorway connecting the kitchen to the main tatami living area, a tall, imposing shadow fell across the room.
Sephiroth stepped quietly into the light, discarding the heavy, slate-gray wool throw he had been carrying. Stripped of his First Class pauldrons and crossed leather suspenders, he wore a simple, dark midnight-blue knit sweater that clung to his massive, broad-shouldered frame.
His knee-length silver hair was neatly parted, falling gracefully around his pale, refined face. His bright cyan eyes were softened completely, harboring a calm, profound gentleness as he looked over his family.
Woven around his left wrist, a glowing, delicate red cord flared with a rhythmic, pulsing light, matching the identical loop wrapped around Bianca's right arm. The Red Ribbon of Fate hummed softly, transmitting a steady baseline of deep, unspoken devotion between their minds.
"The tea is steeped, Bianca," Sephiroth said, his voice a low, resonant baritone that carried a soothing, effortless cadence. He crossed the room soundlessly. His massive 6'7" frame moved with a fluid, terrifying grace that had been softened entirely by years of quiet domesticity.
He reached down. His large hand came to rest lightly over Bianca’s waist, pulling her back against his chest. He rested his chin against the top of her dark hair, inhaling the familiar scent of wild herbs and sweet batter. "The snow is beginning to fall along the upper pass. Vincent has brought her down from the north ridge. From David and Sarah's."
Bianca leaned back into his solid body. Her eyes fluttered shut for a brief second as her corrupted magic settled under his grounding presence. "Is she nervous?"
"She is always nervous," Sephiroth murmured softly, as he glanced toward the entryway. "She still believes she is an intrusion."
The heavy outer sliding door creaked open, admitting a gust of freezing mountain air before it was firmly shut again.
Vincent Valentine stepped into the genkan, wearing his tattered crimson cloak over simple traveling clothes. His golden gauntlet caught the soft glow of the paper lanterns. He stepped aside immediately. His eyes fixed with a quiet, protective reverence on the woman stepping out of the shadows behind him.
Lucrecia Crescent stood frozen in the doorway. She wore a heavy, high-collared coat of dark plum. Her pale hands clutched a small, woven bamboo basket filled with dried mountain herbs. Her soft, dark hair was pinned neatly, though a few strands framed a face that carried the deep, etching lines of heavy regret and long isolation.
She looked around the warm, timber-framed cottage, at the flickering hearth, the scent of fresh baking, and the faces gathered there, and her breath hitched in her throat.
"Happy birthday, Lucrecia," Vincent said quietly from behind her.
Before Lucrecia could process the words, a flash of silver and pearlescent light moved across the tatami mats. Aurora was the first to reach her, stepping forward without a shred of hesitation.
"Nonna!" Aurora beamed. Her radiant warmth instantly melted the heavy, awkward tension in the air. She wrapped her arms around the older woman in a gentle, deliberate embrace, taking care not to crush her with her immense strength or the broad sweep of her wings. "We’ve been waiting for you all morning. Come in out of the cold."
Lucrecia’s hands trembled as she awkwardly returned the hug, her eyes glistening with sudden, unshed tears. "Aurora. . .sweet child. . ."
Lucien stepped up right beside his sister. Though he remained nonverbal, his actions spoke with absolute clarity. He reached out with a soft, deliberate movement, taking the heavy bamboo basket from Lucrecia's cold fingers to lighten her load.
He then looked directly into her eyes. He gave her a slow, respectful bow of his head.
"He says he made sure we got the sweet berries for your cake, Nonna," Aurora interpreted effortlessly, giving Lucien a swift, affectionate nudge with her shoulder.
Lucrecia let out a breath that was half-laugh, half-sob, reaching up with a trembling hand to brush a lock of Lucien's dark hair behind his ear. "Thank you, my boy. Thank you."
Bianca stepped forward then, untying her apron and setting it aside.
The former Saint of SOLDIER—the woman who had bled on Hojo's tables and torn reality apart to protect her children—looked at the fragile, redeemed scientist with nothing but unconditional devotion.
She walked directly up to Lucrecia, taking both of the older woman's cold, frail hands into her own talon-tipped fingers.
That word—Mama—struck Lucrecia like a physical touch, washing away decades of clinical horror, guilt, and crystalline imprisonment. She looked into Bianca's indigo eyes, seeing no resentment for the S-cells, no blame for the tragedy of Project S, only the fierce, unyielding love of a daughter who had claimed her as family.
"Bianca," Lucrecia whispered. Her voice cracked as she squeezed Bianca's hands tightly. "I-I don't deserve this warmth. I don't know how to-to be what you all need me to be."
"You don't have to be anything," Bianca replied softly, smiling as she pulled Lucrecia toward the warm center of the room. "You just have to sit by the fire, eat cake, and let us take care of you."
Sephiroth approached slowly. His long silver hair swayed with his silent steps. He stopped a foot away from his biological mother. For years, the name Lucrecia had been a phantom: a weaponized memory used by Jenova to break his mind in the dark depths of Robio and a woman that his biological father, Hojo, had tried to erase. But looking at her now—fragile, human, and weeping softly in his home—the phantom vanished entirely.
Sephiroth bowed his head slightly. His towering frame bent downward as he reached out and gently placed his large, warm hand over Lucrecia’s shoulder.
"Happy birthday, Mother," Sephiroth said softly. The title was simple, devoid of corporate titles or experimental designations. It was the word of a son who had chosen humanity over prophecy. "We are glad you are here."
Lucrecia looked up into those glowing cyan eyes, finding no coldness, no madness, only the steady, unshakeable warmth of a man who had conquered his darkness to protect those he loved.
Tears finally spilled over her cheeks, but for the first time in a lifetime, they were not born of grief.
Vincent moved silently to the corner of the hearth. A subtle, rare smile touched his lips as he watched the scene unfold. He caught Sephiroth's eye and offered a single, respectful nod: a silent pact between two guardians who had brought the woman they cared for out of the dark.
They gathered around the low, polished wooden table near the irori hearth. Lucien carefully placed small paper stars he had folded earlier beside Lucrecia’s teacup, while Aurora poured the steaming chamomile tea. Sephiroth sat beside Bianca. His arm wrapped securely around her waist. He watched Aurora chatter merrily with her grandmother, as Lucien made sure she was comfortable.
As Bianca sliced into the three-layered cake, setting a piece heavy with sweet riverbank berries in front of Lucrecia, the heavy Wutai wind howled outside the thick timber walls.
But inside the Rinnos cottage, surrounded by the family they had bled to forge, the hearth burned bright and unbroken.
