Torment my muse with questions. About their past, about their regrets, their unanswered hopes. Make my muse squirm.
“Too much time and poor fortune.”
He was being honest.
“I’m looking for a change, yes,” he said. “The brutality hasn’t ended with the young king’s death.”
“But of course, my lord. I was ever so shocked to witness it firsthand. It was truly a horrific affair.” She had no love for Joffrey, not any longer, and she certainly wasn’t sorry he was dead... but she was not so overcome with hate to have wished to see such a thing.
Still, it was the event which sparked her escape from King’s Landing and the Lannisters, so Sansa was grateful, if only privately. She had to guard herself carefully around this stranger - what if the Queen had sent him to find her?
“I do hope you find better fortune here. This part of the realm has as yet been untouched by the war.”
...
Every time I log in to this blog I’m afraid to do anything with it.
A polite question that would shed light on too much if he answered too clearly.
“I have just arrived from King’s Landing, my lady,” he said. “I should have made the journey sooner. Your winters are unforgiving.”
King’s Landing. That was... curious, at the very least. Perhaps even suspicious. Who was this man? Some associate of Petyr’s?
“I’m not certain the winter will be any easier in The Vale, though given the unrest in King’s Landing, perhaps it will be worth the trouble of taking the journey. I am curious, however, to know what brings you here.”

“I’ve not seen you around The Vale before, my lord.”
“Pardon me for saying, but you look a bit lost.”
The comment, though unprecedented, was offered without her usual tact as a means of providing rare advice. She hasn’t been here long but enough to notice how much the girl had suffered. Details were irrelevant, she was stronger than most would be in her place. Ana simply didn’t wish to see her forget how to feel entirely, the way she had so long ago. Acknowledge the emotion, compartmentalize, then control when it is shown.
❝ I mean no disrespect of course. ❞
It was important to clarify that in case anything she said was taken out of context. None could be considered trust worthy that it seemed overly cautious to even suggest what she did. There are too many ears attached to mouths that would repeat in whispers.
❝ Too much of anything at all is dangerous, good or bad. ❞
“I took no offense, my lady,” she said with a smile and a slight bow of her head. “It is rude to do so when one is kind enough to share a life lesson.” Sansa would maintain her courtesy no matter how trying the world around her might become. “It is good advice to learn how to keep a balance in all things. And a good reminder not to indulge too much, lest it wind up disastrous.”
Her hands idly smoothed over a wrinkle in her dress. “My apologies, Lady-- I don’t believe I caught your name...?”
send one to see how my muse reacts:
"There’s got to be another way out." "Don’t wander off." "We need to get away." "What’s that supposed to mean?" "I can’t take it anymore." "Quit screaming at me!" "You killed somebody?" "You need help." "What the hell is wrong with you?" "Calm down and just listen for once!" "I tried, didn’t I?" "We both know how this ends." "If I wanted to leave I would have left by now." "Do you see this?" "Don’t you ever just want to walk away?" "I’m not letting you walk away." "I can DO it." "Alcohol again?" "You could have done that better." "This isn’t going to be easy." "Why are you so calm about this?" "Do we really have to do this?" "That’s not necessary." "I didn’t ask for this!" "You don’t remember me, do you." "Do you really expect me to believe that?" "You’re an asshole." "I hate you." "Why are you so angry?" "What are you hiding?" "I know what you’re hiding." "Just tell me." "Your just going to walk away?" "Tell me it gets better." "Where’d it go?" "Just help me/him/her!" "I don’t like it." "Can I at least say goodbye?" "Fuck you." "I wasn’t talking to you." "Who the hell do you think you are?" "Why do you keep doing this to yourself?" "Can I tell you a secret?" "Are you even here?" "What if I said no?" "Do you even care?" "I know what you are." "Don’t you dare!" "What does it even matter." "We’re all dead anyway." "Where were you?" "Don’t touch me."
.
Poor choice in words.
It is about control, only not in the way that others sought or used it. There was a line that ran between power & control, many confused it for being the same thing. The control she’d learned was in harnessing emotion, not showing it when it was too dangerous. Admirable yes, but also an addictive habit if one was not very careful.
❝ Moderation. ❞
Sansa was quiet for a moment, deep in thought. She wasn’t quite so dim-witted as some perceived her to be. “I see. Yes, I suppose moderation would be key in anything. Too much of even a good thing can have dire results in some cases. It is a very wise lesson to learn.”
"It’s not about control."
“Perhaps I was wrong,” Sansa admitted. “I believed it was, at least partially. What then, in your opinion, is it about?”
*blows dust off this blog* Ayyy. Let’s see if I can’t try this Sansa thing again.
So, like, as far as interacting with modern-based characters goes… I’m fully okay with dropping your character into Westeros, or putting Sansa in other settings. I can come up with some modern-verse headcanons if need be. Whether you want to do a GOT backstory or just have them be dropped in as they are and be completely lost, it’s up to you. Honestly, I’m cool with whatever, just come at me.

"A pleasant day, isn't it?"
Sentence Meme: B△STILLE EDITION
"Does it almost feel like nothing’s changed at all?" "But what is there to gain?" "Do you understand that we will never be the same again?" "I won’t show my face here anymore." "Do you like the person you’ve become?" "It scares me half to death." "It’s not about control." "You always take it further than I ever can." "Let’s finish what we’ve started." "It’s harder than you think." "They will come for you." "Can you feel it?" "Tell me a piece of your history." "It’s not your fault." "You must have the words in that head of yours." "I can’t take it anymore." "What you good for?" "I’ll see you in the future." "I can’t say the words out loud." "And I’m questioning why." "And I will try to love you." "Make that happiness last." "I will see you there." "It’s what you feel, but can’t articulate out loud." "You’ll come undone." "And it scares you: being alone." "Don’t listen to your friends." "When you go home everything looks different." "And you’re scared of being left behind." "I came here to get some peace." "I can’t help but think of you." "I hope you can make me laugh." "This is just another night." "I’m lost."
It's been approximately 47 years since I've been on this blog, but here I am!
I want so badly to make this blog more active. I can't seem to get it right. But I want to so freakin' much.
