Skellington Leoric is all finished up. 

I gave him waaaay more details to dictate that everything about his outfit is worn. You’ll note the stains on clothing and the jagged lines on the armor, there’s even rust marks on everything.

Wasn’t sure what to do with his hands so I watched a bit of footage from his character intro on the Heroes of the Storm channel. Apparently that’s an option for an attack so I gave him ghost hands.

He turned out pretty great. Also he’s way to overpowered. Dude has two magic armor gems.

With Skellington Leoric getting wrapped up in a few weeks that brings me to my next four. (Featured in order: Butcher, Lilith, Maghda, and Mephisto). Diablo will be at the top of the pile, so he will be last, but I need to get these ones out of the way first.

So far the general friend group consensus seems to favor Butcher or Mephisto with a few votes for Lilith.

But I’m curious, which one would you like to see done in wind waker style next?

WIP King Leoric from Diablo and Heroes progress

He’s coming together slowly. Not too much is available for reference other than highly polished paintings from the early games, so this one is turning out to be a mix of Heroes of the Storm and D3. Plus adding swirlies where I can get away with it.

NGL this feels weird to do after a year of no digital art after working on nonstop vfx every waking moment when I wasn’t at work. But I’m weirdly more organized with my layers and it “feels” like I’m faster at pumping out details than when I worked on the Necromancer? I could just be imagining things though haha.

Anyway here is skellington Leoric with more details. I’ll eventually add some ghosty effects for hands. (Mostly since I didn’t know what else to do with them).

SCAM ALERT!

Hello fellow creators!

Please beware of this scam going around! They’re targeting artists of all sorts, like people trying to get into the games industry, movie industry, small artists, sculptors and more.

It’s a job scam that sends a fake, but very believable, job listing for a remote job from often a well known company (Riot Games, Gameloft Games, IMDB, etc.) for an art job such as “2D/3D Artist” saying they saw your portfolio on ArtStation or something similar. They’ll say to contact them through Telegram but it’s a scam! Don’t do it. The base of the scam is they’ll tell you they have a job and will pay you for tools but that you need to buy the tools from their “vendor” and they’ll reimburse you. This is a lie, there is no vendor and no job, they’re just taking your money and running.

ArtStation made a post HERE (https://magazine.artstation.com/2020/12/scam-watchavoiding-remote-job-scams/) that has a lot of good info, including info on reporting it and the details of the scam.  Please beware this scam trying to prey on desperate people trying to get a job in their desired field during the pandemic.

Please share this info and pass it to other creators so no one falls for this shit!

Below is an example email of this scam that was send to a friend of mine who fortunately was savvy and noticed it was a scam. They gave me permission to share the email with their personal information removed. Note the portion about telegram and the suspicious email ([company][year]@gmail.com) that are real telling that this is a scam.

Spread this around like wildfire yo. They previously tried to contact a friend of mine as well. Anyone who contacts you from a studio that has a Gmail account? Immediately sus and does not work for said studio.
