Huh I never said why I found this out, I think I may have lied in a reblog on this about it. Completely forgot until recently when I found the video.
Sexually harassed by teenage boys at a bus stop telling me they wanted to “Netflix and chill and maybe skip a finger in” and a lot more explicit stuff and grabbing at me. Only reason I figured it out because I googled it while telling them to fuck off, because it didn’t match the rest of the shit they were spewing.

(I did report them, they were wearing uniforms for their high school the idiots. I think they were suspended? I can’t remember now, I just remember calling the school and having to go in to show them the video and have a conversation)

Typically asexuals don’t have protection to begin with (we are recognised partially in two countries as of 2025, may have updated since then but doubt it) so we aren’t included.
This is the first case of “asexual acts” being criminalised.
It’s illegal not to have sex?
Is it illegal not to have sex for religious reasons now? Such as a nun or priest?
Not only that; but the laws (if there are any) around consent have just been demolished. A man could now accuse a woman who won’t sleep with him of “asexual acts”, resulting in prison time. They might have a strict “not before marriage” faith/law, but don’t tell me someone won’t do this.

Y’all do know that being nice to people is basic human decency right? Y’all do know that being kind is normal right? Y’all do know that accepting people for their identity (queer, neurodivergence, colour/race, culture) is the bare minimum?
It’s not saying if they spit in your face you smile and help, nor is it going out of your way to help someone to the point it hurts you.
Kindness is just being nice to people before they hurt you. If they don’t hurt you, continue to be kind.
Everyone owes everyone kindness until they hurt each other, (and hurt can be simply that they give you a bad vibe and so you avoid them, hurt could be that they emotionally hurt you, this isn’t physical).
And in my opinion the only way to truely start fixing this world from a social point of view is if we insist that everyone slow the fuck down for a second and be kind
They don't do the bare minimum, they go under it. I would also punch a dickhead who might have been harassing me, I would also punch someone who punched me.
This isn't “be nice no matter what” this is, it's the bare minimum to be nice to people when they have done nothing to you. It's the bare minimum to respect people's choices, even if that choice makes you punch them. It's the bare minimum to not target something a person has no control over, such as race or sexuality, when they have other flaws, such as being a nazi.
I've seen a decent amount of discussion about the acephobia/amatonormativity in Stratt's line to Grace that "You don't even have a dog," - how Grace's lack of a traditional romantic partner or offspring make him more disposable in the eyes of the world and the project.
What I haven't seen much discussion about is how it applies to her too. Eva Stratt doesn't have friends, or a family waiting for her. She doesn't have a dog either.
How many times has Eva told herself it's fine that she's going to be the world's scapegoat, because there's no one who will be hurt by her suffering either?
