Odyssey!AU
So, lately I've been a little obsessed with Epic (yes, the musical), and I ended up getting really interested in Greek mythology and the tale of Odysseus. It was the first thing that excited me in weeks to the point that I couldn't control myself and needed to make an AU with my oldest obsession. That said, let's get to the introduction (remembering that the mythology within this universe as well as the plot will be original, but based on Greek myths in general and tales):
Ganji, at a very young age, was taken from his homeland and turned into a slave to serve the king's general. For a long time, he was mistreated by his master, until the desire for freedom spoke louder, freeing himself from the chains and attacking the general. Ganji managed to kill him, but was detained before he could escape. His sentence for attacking someone in a higher hierarchical position would have been death, but the king, impressed by his combat skills and seeing his potential for war, decided to free the boy and make him his newest general.
Ganji was trained and stayed by the king's side for years, helping him expand his territory and becoming his right-hand man, although he was not capable enough to become a general himself. However, this did not stop the king from including him in his greatest plan yet.
Obsessed with making people serve him, the king set out on a journey with one hundred men in search of the Christina's garden, the ancient fallen goddess, mother of the earth and life. Legends say that somewhere in the desert of ten days and ten nights, there is a garden, and in this garden is where Christina's heart rests. The artifact capable of giving life, or taking it away completely. The king, megalomaniac as he was, would use the artifact to expand his power and influence over the people he considered inferior.
But Ganji was no longer part of these people, or at least the king saw it that way. After all, he had already proven that his destiny was no longer to be a slave, so why would he care about the king enslaving those who came from the same distant lands as him?
That was his only wrong judgment about the young man.
The idea of having his former people massacred, imprisoned and enslaved was too much for the weight of his heart to bear. Even though he no longer lived like cattle, Ganji remembered well where each scar on his body came from. So he waited, days and nights, in the fall of many men, until he and only the king remained, and so they arrived together at Christina's garden. And before the cruel king could rip the heart of the ancient goddess from her vines, Ganji made a final promise of loyalty, and so he tore off the king's head with his sword, staining the sacred soil of the garden with death.

All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a Thousand Enemies
Watched Deadpool and Wolverine over Christmas and then Sonic 3 last weekend. After this nonsense entered my thoughts it wouldn't leave so now it gets to be everyone's problem. Dressing Shadow in those colors was physically painful.
Somewhere on the internet is a photo edit from 2020 of Deadpool booping Logan on the nose. If I manage to find it again a link will be added.
This is the first time in nearly 20 years that I've drawn Sonic art so don't expect more anytime soon.
I don't think we get as much characterization of Philippe being a sick weirdo as we should (I love my wives)
