Endrance wasted no time with preparation— after all, what was there to prepare for? He carried items, but rarely used them. With everything in such order, he warped to the field straightaway.
Upon entering the field, Mia found herself once again in a rainy area. It was one of the more simplistic fields, with five distinct regions connected by warp points on the map. There were no bridges, and while the field was a muted green with dew-soaked foliage [also speckled here and there in remarkably simulated blue hyacinths], the gaps between each area were filled with a foggy abyss. If one stared at the drop off long enough, a long silhouette [a dragon?] could be made out for a brief second before it disappeared.
The monsters here were mostly of the light element, healing themselves and many delivering paralysis upon contact. There was nothing really new about this field to the average R:2 player, but to Mia it was quite the sight. She had been steadily training in one field for the past week and a half, if only to catch up with those she would soon associate with. She also intended to eventually match Endrance, but that was quite a ways away.
Needless to say, this field was a breath of fresh air.
The Beast Temple was pinpointed northeast of her current location. It took some sly maneuvering to evade monsters who were at least 20 levels above her in strength, but the beast player managed somehow with two thirds of her HP salvaged.
And now all there was left to do was wait, hope he showed. She knew he would, but there was this strange thing...fear? Yes, she'd tasted it before, but this was different.
This fear was childish, and she wasn't interested in entertaining it.
Mia did, however, eventually grow bored. She also had just enough healing items, and perhaps an escape route, and so she entered a clash with a trio of Heavenly Omegas. She did manage to have one kill its comrade via charm, but now she found herself being thrown against the battle force field and small chunk of her life wasted. Things were getting a little rough, but she could practice evading for now. No more hits were taken once she caught her wind, and while it was obvious who was stronger she was indeed faster and seemed to be handling herself with grace.
