Arrow - My Name is Oliver Queen - Episode Review
Tonight was almost a Series Finale. Thanks god, it was only a season finale. We ended the season with answers and maybe even more questions have been raised, setting up the base for a really exciting season 4. We had closure and opening on the strongest theme of the season - Identity. Oliver made a choice tonight. He decided to be Oliver Queen. Finally. Time for me to write this final episode review. Time to be a bit emotional but still rational. Time to experience the melancholy of the end of the season and the excitement of a well deserve break. Time to be happy for my favorite characters and be sad for missing them already. But first, time to review!
OPENING YOUR EYES TO REALITY
Most of the time the truth comes from people from the outside.
Barry is Team Arrow’s savior tonight but more importantly he is a messenger. He is here to remind Team Arrow what it takes to be a team. It takes to trust the people you fight with, no matter what. It takes to help them even if everything pushes you to go the other direction.
Just like when Felicity helped Barry trust his team again, it’s now Barry’s turn to remind Team Arrow that Oliver needs them, even if he doesn’t know it – just like Barry didn’t see it a few months ago.
It didn’t take long for Oliver to reveal his true identity to Ra’s Al Ghul. After proving his allegiance and annihilate Ra’s doubts, Oliver reveals himself on time to save his city. We therefore understand that Oliver has never been Al Sah-Him. He has never let Ra take over his soul, take over his humanity and his love for Felicity. YES, Oliver betrayed them, he betrayed the people he loves most in this world to protect them.
