ANGL the Extension of Arrow
We used to get a lot of questions from our customers when they were traveling outside of an Arrow coverage area like, “Who can I use?”, “Where should I turn to?” and “Who can I trust?” We are always in-tune to our customer’s feedback, and when you asked for help to develop a solution for nationwide coverage, we responded.
We wanted to let you know ANGL is the solution to that problem, a nationwide extension of Arrow. Arrow has been in the business for over 85 years and we felt it was important for us to extend that knowledge to our customers benefit. We have forged relationships across the nation, with providers that mirror the same level of customer service, safety and satisfaction that we do here at Arrow. Oh The Places We Will Go!
Its always a thrill to have the privilege… I take that back… The honor, to be at some of the coolest venues and events all across the country. For example, going to college sporting events, large concerts, some of the more beautiful areas and national parks our country has to offer, but the WORLD SERIES! You have got to be kidding me! This is one for the history books! 31+ Arrow Stage Lines Motorcoaches on the scene! It’s a pretty fantastic sight to see!
Always Here to Serve
We have always been proud to be one of the nation’s top ground transportation providers, but some of the events we get to be a part of are unbelievable. Take for example this weekend; we were honored to be a part of the Husker Fans Salute the Troops event. Personally, this annual event always makes me take a step back and remember those who have sacrificed so much for our freedoms. Arrow was able to help honor those members of the Wounded Warriors group, by providing transportation. Not only does being selected to provide safe, reliable transportation for out nation’s best make you feel proud, but when you are escorted by the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association motorcade from Omaha, Neb. to Lincoln, Neb., that just gives you the chills.
Knowing that we are the team that gets the call, when our nation needs us, is humbling, and we are so gratefully for those members of our nation who have protected the freedoms we enjoy each and everyday.

This event was particularly special, and we are so proud we were able to be a part of weekend.”

Arrow Stage Lines takes MCI's 7000th coach off the J4500 line, built for safety, comfort and reliability with new ZF and Bendix Systems
DES PLAINES, IL — October 7, 2014 — Known for offering its passengers the latest advances in safety and comfort, Arrow Stage Lines has taken delivery of two new MCI J4500s, including the 7000th model to roll off the E/J line at the MCI's Winnipeg facility
With this delivery, the Omaha, Nebraska-based charter coach company is the first to own MCI® J4500s with the new ZF axle system with independent front- and tag-axle suspension and a Bendix braking system that complements the model's recently added MCI Dynamic Suspension System (MDSS).
"We couldn't be prouder to be such an integral part of the Arrow's fleet of coaches and to share our 7000th J4500 landmark with them," said Patricia Ziska, MCI Vice President of New Coach Sales. "Arrow constantly raises the bar, setting a new standard in service and their consistent growth demonstrates that customers are responding and embracing a new level of motor coach travel."
These technology upgrades now give the industry's best-selling coach car-like braking and a significantly tighter turning radius of 40 feet, 11 inches compared to a previous 47 feet.
Arrow's newest J4500s also come equipped with the latest Detroit Diesel engines offering better fuel economy and standard safety features including Electronic Stability Control, tire pressure monitoring and Amerex fire suppression. "Our priorities have always been to provide our passengers with the latest technologies in safety and performance. It's great to be first to offer our riders and our drivers the advances offered by MCI."
In addition to its latest two MCI J4500 coaches, Arrow added two Setra S 417 models purchased through MCI, bringing its total MCI-associated fleet to 61 J4500s, 16 other MCI models and 59 Setra coaches. "We appreciate Arrow's loyalty to both the MCI and Setra brands," continued Ziska. "We are dedicated to providing superior aftermarket support, allowing Arrow to stay focused on the qualities that has driven their success."

Every 6,000 miles, Arrow's charter coaches go through intensive inspections from brake, suspension and drivetrain systems, to heating and air-conditioning. The work is done at Arrow's own shops, replacing critical parts long before necessary, adhering to its dedication to passenger safety and comfort in every mile Arrow drives.

Walk-man (How Far We've Come)
It’s interesting to think how fast our world is changing, and Arrow’s passion to stay ahead of the current trends.
Just a few weeks ago we polled some of our social media audiences and asked them to rank the top 5 items necessary when traveling with Arrow. Some of the answers were not that surprising, water, coffee and rest stops, but one item caught our attention… a walk-man. Now we do not know if this avid Arrow customer was referring to a tape deck or a CD player, either way, we had to take a step back and appreciate how far we have advanced the motorcoach for our passengers. The transportation industry has changed since the days when everyone could be seen sporting a walk-man device of some kind. You know… the kind that used to take AA batteries.
Nowadays most Arrow coaches come with outlets on board, so rather than batteries, you can charge all of your devices… phone, mp3, laptop, tablet or portable dvd player. There is no need for a set number of tracks, or a mix tape. Streaming audio, constant contact with social media and staying in touch with the outside world is all possible with WIFI equipped Arrow coaches.
Members of this poll also mentioned a reliable, safe piece of transportation equipment. Reliability and safety have always been a top priority, but with advancements in technology, and Arrow’s passion to be on the cutting edge of safety devices and technology, those concerns are fading further into the past.
To our valued customers, we thank you for many years of support and we look forward to serving you as we move further into the future of transportation! (without our walk-mans)
