“Oh, before we go to her office,” Molly quickly pulled out a piece of paper that held the Hogsmeade details on it and held it out for them. “I was wondering you wanted to go. With me.” She looked over at him, raising a brow. “I know we haven’t REALLY… Well… You KNOW. I just… Um. It would be fun. Ifyou’dliketogowithme.” Molly knew that she was rambling and probably not making much sense, but it didn’t matter. She’d asked him on a date. A REAL date. And it felt good. Molly and Arthur might be going on a date. Or were. She had pretty good confidence he’d say yes.
“yeah?” the boy said, as he waited for her to pull of the paper that she had in her pocket, blinking slightly as she spoke, wondering if he had heard her right, heart suddenly thumping in his chest as he felt his cheeks redden. “like, on a D A T E ?” he said, not sure if it was his wishful thinking or she had actually asked him out. the boy had tried many times to ask her out and ended up failing each time, either ending up a mess of jumbled words in which he tried to disguise another question in or not being able to do it all together. the idea that molly even liked him was so bizarre. but a large smile curved onto his lips. “of course i’d like to go with you.” he replied, unable to contain his goofy grin, not knowing if he should do something other than just stand there like a grinning idiot. “i would love that.”
