Finally! Another lively soul in this desolate bar. Lupin turned around and returned the wave along with a smile and hopped from his seat. One foot in front of the other, he made his way to the booth to sit with the stranger.
He placed his glass on the table and slid into the leather covered seat. He gave the stranger a toothy grin as a sign of no harm and leaned back against the booth to relax. “ Shit, I’m glad to see there is actually someone here who wants to socialize! The bartender didn’t even look me in the eye! “
“Wow! Has anyone ever told you that you’re one helluva handsome hunk?” Lupin couldn’t help the giggle that escaped his lips. Setting down his own drink, he leaned forward, resting his chin in the palm of his hand, returning that toothy grin to his doppelganger.
It took a bit. Eyes gazed over the other Lupin, taking in the very familiar face, the childlike eyes, the broad grin that bared all those pearly whites. Something about this guy was totally familiar! But who…?
Lupin pondered it for a moment, then quirked a brow, expression falling and head tilting. “You know, you look awfully familiar? Have we met before? Like, say, in the mirror?”
“ I don’t think we’ve ever met bef- “ Lupin’s inner lightbulb suddenly clicked in his head, this guy DID look awfully familiar! His eyes looked up and down his new found friend and noticed some familiar features.. The smile, the hair..
“ Say wait a minute!! “ He exclaimed, “ It is a bit like lookin’ in a mirror, huh? “

Carmen was sitting at her computer, looking over an e-mail. Apparently Interpol had sent a request to ACME for assistance. Nothing major, just a request about leaving a particular thief that may be on his way to the US, to them. Carmen had no problems with cooperating, however, she didn’t like the tone of the message. Did they think she couldn’t handle one low class thief? Yes she took it as a personal insult and challenge. “Hm, Lupin the third. Yah I bet.” She rolled her eyes leaning back in her chair. She closed her eyes a moment as a cool breeze blew in the window off the bay.
“ Well! Inspector Zenigata had to get an outsiders help, huh? I guess pops is having trouble keeping up with me! “
Lupin chuckled leaning against a wall in the corner of the room. You’d think a building like this would have better security! He stretched out his arms and shoved them into his pockets, walking towards Carmen’s computer desk. Lupin leaned over to his side and arched a brow as he read over the contents of the screen.
“ Now, you got any blue prints to the art gallery on here?? “
“Who the he… how did you get in here?” The woman in brown stood up and glared at him. “CHIEF!” She called out to seemingly no one. “Are you asleep?” The large monitor over the one Carmen was looking at, that took up almost the entirety of one wall blinked on.
“What are you still doing here Carmen? Go home, get some sleep… go on a date?” The face that appeared and started rambling looked confused.
“You see the problem here right?” She crossed her arms looking up at him. “How did he get in here?” She was practically ignoring him as she pointed to him. She made sure he wasn’t getting into anything he shouldn’t but was no longer talking to the thief.
“ You’d think a detective agency like this woulda’ better security system!! I got through this place with ease.. “
Lupin chuckled and looked at the screen, impressed by the technology they had for such a small detective agency. He looked away and shook his hand towards the monitor.
“ I’m not here to hurt anybody, chief! Just trying to snoop and see what ol’ pops has planned for me..”

Thursday nights at the bar were always quiet. Weekdays weren’t really the most ideal time to go out bar hoping, but this particular heist was stressful. What was the best way to relieve built up stress? By drinking the best whiskey on the market. Lupin brought the brim of the glass to his lips and glanced around the bar to find the only other person there in a booth on the other side of the building. Hard to believe this bar was one of the most frequented bars in the city.
Admittedly, Thursday nights were lonely at the bar. Ordinarily, he’d have a buddy to drink with, most notably Jigen, but tonight, he’d given Lupin the boot, telling him that they had plenty of booze at home for a drink or three.
That’s why he occupied the booth all alone tonight. Not exactly his ideal predicament, but there was nary a babe in sight to invite to the booth with him, leaving him a sad bachelor in an otherwise empty bar.
Then, a stranger arrived. He seemed to savor the whiskey on his lips before giving the bar a good look-over. That’s when their eyes met. Lupin, ever the friendly soul, offered a toothy grin and gave the other man a dainty wave, fingers wiggling in a ‘come get me’ sort of way.
Lifting his bourbon to his lips, he took a drink and relaxed. Might as well just enjoy his time here.

Jigen threw his partner a glare. “So it is for a woman! That’s it. I’m out. And you can bet your ass that Goemon’ll opt out too.”
