So I haven’t been here in a while and I just need to get something out of my system
Where I come from this is called a work boot. Blue collar guys, electricians, builders, etc. wear these. Notice the grommet thingy there, it looks like a hex nut? The DeWalts and American Heritage ones are like that too. Worker guys wear these things because they have steel toes, so it’s harder to mess up your feet if an accident happens. They’re also tough on the bottom and often waterproof. For work reasons.
Sometimes people just wear them for fashion though. And by people I mean nazis. (not a sentence I’ve often used) Apparently they like the steel toe for some reason? Idk why. My best guess is for kicking people. Or feeling cool while not on a work site, possibly. Also they have a thing for boots. There are entire tattoos about it look
Okay, so do you guys know about the double 8 thing they also do? They think they’re being sneaky or some shit? Loot at this shit
Pictures aren’t mine. (I didn’t want to credit because I’m not sure if the owners know about all of this and I don’t want innocent people being harassed)
What on the lord’s fertile planet is that?? It’s even the same kind of shoe string. These photos are of two different pairs of shoes, I was checking because I thought someone had embroidered them. Nope, they come that way. Every pair Tom’s made looks like this.
Will somebody tell me that this is just a fancy, normal, stitching technique or something? That seems a little too specific. I wouldn’t be able to wear these where I live without people thinking certain things.
Addendum: Do you see how they even got the two colors of rubber from the soles of the timberland’s correct on the tom’s?? Also. Saying only nazis wear the work boots for fashion was a bit harsh, maybe other people do that too and don’t know? I’ve always liked them because my uncles always wore them and would probably want a pair too if I didn’t know about this stuff.
