an alumni from my school told me something that really stuck with me so i thought i would share it with any of my followers who are also students. she said ātry to get good grades, but make it the least impressive thing about you.ā soft skills are just as important! practice empathy, leadership, and communication! have hobbies and find new things that youāre good at!! know what your values are and how you act on them!! these things are so important š±
new ā and the final ā semester starts today. i'm excited about it, and i'm adequately terrified of both said semester and college ending, so it seems like a good mix
1.15.22 The theme of my January has been studying growth- through personal reflection, through the Medicinal Botany winter course that Iām taking, and through reading The Psychology Of Money. But itās also nice to take comfort in the things that donāt change, like my favorite museum. Oh, and thank you for 1k!

in 2022, I want to be more intentional with my time.
while I like to think Iām pretty āon itā as far as standard time management tips go ā avoiding procrastination, planning ahead ā I want to start making the most of the time I have to rest!
how much enjoyment do I actually get from scrolling on instagram, or from hopping discord servers?
āthis year, Iām making the effort to do things with my downtime. I want to get invested in books! or delve into the games I never seem to have time for! or learn a new skill!
āI find it so easy to fall into the old scrolling habit, and to end the week wondering where on earth the time went. but with a little planning ahead (and a lot of putting šš» down šš» the šš» damn šš» phone šš»), Iām hoping to kick that habit this coming year!

iām making great progress in āthe dragon republicā by r.f. kuang, and iām enjoying it so much! š iāve been reading it on my commutes and i love how excited i get each time i pick the book back up āŗļø this trilogy has been incredible so far. i love when a book meets all your expectations and more. what was a book that surprised you (in a good way)? ⨠(at Perth, Western Australia) https://www.instagram.com/p/CXoGOzSvU8e/?utm_medium=tumblr

Day 12/100...
Today I'm starting the first project assigned at the end of the first course. I'm quite anxious because I feel like I don't know what I'm doing. All I can do is try my best and practice everyday but we'll see.
Finishing up on the last essay for this semester.Ā

annotations from a current read ā the anthropocene reviewed by john green! and these are just from the introduction! 𤩠john green has such a way with words. one word i can describe this book so far is⦠thoughtful. it makes you think a lot. and i love that john green can put to words such complicated theories and phrase them in ways that are witty and easily understandable! i actually think heās much better suited writing non-fiction books, but thatās just my personal opinion āŗļø (at Perth, Western Australia) https://www.instagram.com/p/CWYY_WaPX_s/?utm_medium=tumblr
