Alas, I did not get to any drawing today. 

I did, however, spend some time fiddling with poses for a couple of 3D figures and set up some lighting as a reference “photo” for a Stucky drawing I will tackle this week.

And that’s it for the night. Very rough figure sketch. Not satisfied at all so not posting the WIP. I’d already been drawing something else before that and I have a cramp in my arm, which probably didn’t help either.

I discovered the 3d reference I used of Bucky’s cybernetic arm wasn’t quite accurate, so I had to redo it a bit based on photo reference that... didn’t quite provide the view I needed. But it’s good enough for a sketch, I suppose!

It’s a Work in Progress

Well, here I am, back in the art game again.

More or less.

I’m sort of starting over in a way, so I’m not going to be sharing any of my old stuff here. Moving forward. Hopefully getting fully back into the swing of things, and actually finishing the backlog I’ve been neglecting, while doing some new, exciting things in the interim.

I am not going to be taking commissions right now. I need to finish some old stuff first that has been languishing, and I’m still not secure enough in my own functionality to commit to anything that people pay for. I will eventually start taking them again, though I need to work out what I am and am not willing to take on. 

I do think that I am going to be turning my primary artistic focus to fan art. It just speaks to me more. When I start taking commissions again, I will likely gear it towards that as well.

While I was eating dinner, I did a quick reference mockup of the new Bucky sketch in Daz, then found a decent reference photo to use for his likeness. I am running out of steam for the day, but if I still have any at all in a bit I’ll get started on this.

Have a preview under the cut, via the Daz reference, which I’m mostly just using for pose/anatomy ref. I am debating whether to modify the pose a little bit in the sketch. We’ll see how it looks. This is not entirely NS.FW, but it definitely falls under the “mostly naked” category.
