"I’ll put it this way, if you we’re his wife, or someone close to you and you knew that if would hurt you more than anything could you of told someone that your planet was burning and gone? He didn’t want you to hurt, he had too much to think about you to staying safe. He saw you having a normal life and a normal smile, he wanted that for you. I think if he saw you having to known the past of this it would of deviated him to of him to tell you this himself. So you can be mad at him for not telling you this and be mad at him for being quiet about it all. He’s still your love. He just wanted the best for you I’m sorry that it had to come to this. If you’d rather of been told by him than I could of brought him here instead it just would of torn him apart.”
He meant every word of what he had said. Julius was fragile sometimes with those things. He couldn’t deal with trying to give news like that to Gwen none the less anything that would hurt her. so thinking on that just would hurt her.
"He's not the only one that's been devastated, Atlas Roberts. I'm closing the tea shop." Gwen stood up slowly, and she started closing up shop. But her hands were shaking and she kept doing everything wrong because she was in shock. She had a right to be angry at everyone for lying to her. She had been right to hesitate at that door. She should never have opened it.
My cousins sent me the mother of all care packages! Included: - duct tape (rainbow!!!) - lots of sour candies - Nutella & peanut butter - spam - seasonings - soups - Jolly Ranches - Mike & Ikes - Gum - Energy spray - Vitamin packets - Popcorn - a paddleboard - tissues - thumb tacks - more I can't think of right off the top of my head
but i look at you. i look at you, and god, constellations are bursting, fires are dying, silence is deafening, the whole damn world is terrifying - - - — — and im falling, god, i’m falling, i’m falling in love with you.

"Yes you are, your parents tried to keep you normal and on Earth to keep you safe. I didn’t want to tell you because I wanted to keep you safe and well my son did also. You can see why for that factor. You can talk to your parents about this. I’m here for you if you ever just want to let it out if you’d like or ask questions.” he said just worried about her. He knew he should of let the others did it but he knew they would of done it.
"Are -- are you saying that Julius knew too, and he didn't tell me?" Her planet had burned and the man she loved more than anything had neglected to tell her that her memories of that were hidden, that she was being lied to her entire life. Gwen was more than angry. She was hurt. It was a stabbing pain buried deep in her chest. A longing for a home she could never have now, since it was gone. Only the Doctor knew it was saved; only him, and she didn't know him. To her, Gallifrey was gone forever. "Why didn't he tell me? He -- he would've told me!"
I am actually quite proud of myself for what I've gotten accomplished so far this morning. I've:
responded to every draft I had the muse for
updated my muse count
updated my thread tracker
made fancy online/offline banners & this neat-o updates banner (which I'll also be using on another blog)
skipped class oops
started work on adding a couple of more muses, which should be up by the end of the day
Reblog if you were alive when Pluto was a planet

"You open it, what you’ll see inside will be something that will shock you and might will surprise you. Please don’t be mad that you might have this hidden from you. If you do it was mainly because your mind this for your own good. I’m only here to help you with this. I don’t want you to be alone in this.” he said in stroking her fingers, he knew he’d have his son on the ready for dial for later. He wanted her to be okay. He knew after this though she wouldn’t be okay.
She knew right then that he knew what her brain was hiding from her, and that scared her possibly more than anything. What wasn't he telling her? She swallowed and she reached to open the door with her mind, feeling his hands over hers, needing that comfort right now. Atlas -- being Julius' father -- was very close to her and she trusted him. And then came the memories, unbidden, of a world she didn't recognize until now burning and a small child being so scared... and that child was... her? It hit her then. Gallifrey. That was her homeworld. Her and her parents fled the Time War in the earliest days, and they had hidden her memories so that she wouldn't grow up with that burden on her shoulders. And she was angry -- but also she understood. She glanced up at Atlas, barely realizing her face was covered in tears already. "I'm... from... Gallifrey?"

"It might hurt just a little bit not to much. I’ll try my best to be gentle. It will open some memories that might well get you abit emotional I have to warn you. I’m here though to get you through this alright?” he said in taking her hand before moving the other up to right beside her right eye to where he would focus and open some of the deepest part of her memories.
Gwen felt his presence in her mind the second that his fingers met with her temple. She could see the doors guarding her memories -- a door as black as night stood at the far end of a corridor and she knew that's where everything was buried. She let him unlock it but she hesitated to open it. If she opened it, she might not like what she found. "Wh -- what do I do?"
atlas&gwen
"That, let me think of how to explain it." He thought for a second before putting things into words. "Imagine you have a door to each part of your mind, your deepest secrets, your past events you want to forget and they all have different colors on them. Well imagine keys for each of them even the ones you can’t find then focus on finding that one deep darkest one. If you want me to show you how I can. You know what I am. I can help you.”
She did know what he was. Beyond the fact that he was Magician's father, he was a Timelord -- an ancient being. Gwen glanced up at him and then back down again, the weight of everything pressing in on her shoulders. "Show me."

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't laugh, but that was actually hilarious. Do you need help up?"
atlas&gwen
"If you do have some search deep down and find pieces of it. I can help you but its best that you find the most pieces because their your memories.”
"How do I search for them? I've been trying but I just can't seem to reach whatever it is buried down there."

"Your saying its a suppressed memory that your trying to figure out. Is it something thats been with you since you’ve been young?”
"Yes -- well, I mean, I guess so. I can't say I remember all that much from when I was really little, nobody does. We don't start forming actual memories until age three and then by now, most of those have been replaced with more relevant memories."

She was rambling, he was browsing. He only had a few days left in Scotland, but that was only because his flight plans had suffered a drastic modification. Jim would be out of here in no time, but he’d only been to Scotland maybe one other time in the last year or so, so he decided to check out the city while he could. He would probably burn himself alive before allowing himself to be called a tourist. A tea shop was basically the only souvenir shop he’d attend. Jim had never been the type to whip out his disposable camera and lose his shit over a foreign place. “There’s no price tag on this.” He noted and tossed the box in the air, letting it spin in a few circles before it landed back in his hand, bottom of it facing up. He turned it over to it’s front and looked back up at her, lifting up the box of breakfast tea.
"That's cos we sell by weight. My boss is crazy about the way she runs things, I've just stopped trying to tell her to make it simple." Gwen tapped a chalkboard sign, nearly entirely in calligraphy, hanging from the counter. She touched up the writing whenever it started to fade -- and that's why it was in calligraphy, she needed the practice and chalk presented a challenge. She liked that about the little board. It listed weights corresponding to prices. "She does it cos we make so many of our own blends that it makes more sense to her." Shrugging her shoulders, she returned to studying him for a second. He seemed out of place without seeming out of place. She could tell from his accent that he wasn't Scottish -- it wasn't hard, she wasn't daft. A toddler could tell the difference, unless the toddler was American. But he wasn't doing touristy things, he was here buying tea, so what was he doing in Scotland?
