valentine's day with erwin headcanons
erwin is such a busy man; paperworks are filing in his desks and the things he needed to keep organized is overflowing
but despite his busy schedule, he always make time for the both of you
that includes his plans for the valentine's day :D
erwin's mind is so amazing to the point that you will never really know whether he is planning something or not; and he is capable of handling changes even if it is on the spot changes
he already planned everything from the very start; he don't really like surprises so he would let you know that he will be taking you out on the evening of february 14
you agreed and didn't question anything because if erwin wants you to know, he would definitely tell you immediately
the both of you was eager to finish your workloads so nights before valentine's are different from before as you guys work until late night to finish everything as soon as possible
14th came and the day went usual; training on the grounds, submitting the finished paperworks to the higher ups, self-learning about the titans and so on
when the sky fell dark, you started showering to remove the sweaty scent and sticky substances from your body due to the activities you did today
scrubbing everything, you made sure that every inch of your body is cleaned throughly
after showering, you dried your body and hair and wore the dress you bought a few days ago specifically for this occasion
it is a simple blue dress that matches your lover's eye color with some lace details; it was fitted enough for you to move freely around
you also applied thin make-up and let your hair down, different from your usual pony tail when you are inside the base
as the clock striked as 8 in the evening, there were knocks on the door
you opened it and it revealed erwin wearing a black, dashing suit. he knows your weakness very well. he knows that suit and tie can make you go jelly, especially when he style his hair with gel
"you are so beautiful." he complemented you before pecking onto your lips that made you blush
"you look... dashing too." you tried to hide the redness of your cheeks but it didn't slipped away from erwin's eyes, earning him a small smirk on his lips
the both of you went down and all eyes of the cadets nearly popped out of their sockets because this is the first time that they saw the both of you dressed differently; and also the fact that both you and erwin looked so beautiful and handsome tonight, some cadets were simping on the both of you but you couldn't care less
once you stepped out of the door, a man escorted the both of you to the carriage which is your service for tonight
after at least 30 minutes of riding, you arrived at the destination
Kluffer's Hill. it is the fanciest restaurant inside wall rose and is located on the highest part of the city when the people who dine can see the view of the town below them
your mouth nearly dropped. "erwin! dining here is like spending your whole month salary for this!"
erwin just smiled and rubbed his hand on your back. "it's okay, everything is fine. you can relax." "but still---"
erwin didn't gave you a chance to protest again and pulled you inside the restaurant
big chandeliers and warm lightning greeted you as soon as the doors opened
you followed your lover as he walked towards a table for two person that is located in the middle of a room with a huge window that shows the beautiful city inside wall rose
erwin pulled a chair and signaled you to sit there and again, it made you blush
once he was settled in his chair, the waiters started serving the foods one by one
"oh my god! meat!" you nearly screamed as you saw the plates full of meat dishes
for people living outside wall sina, meat is a very rare delicacy as it tends to cost a lot and hard to obtain; you remembered crying the first time you tasted a meat from the animal you hunted in the forest
"it's your favorite." erwin smiled as more food gets served, along with the premium specialty red win of wall rose
he smoothly popped the bottle and half-filled the glasses with wine
as your lover do that, you can't help but to admire him
you sometimes wonder how erwin, erwin smith, the commander of the survey corps, erwin fucking smith fell for you
once he finished pouring the crimson liquid inside the glass, he handed one to you and bring it up mid air to toast
"happy valentine's, y/n."
"happy valentine's, erwin"
the clanking of the glass made an echo to the room as the both of you sipped your drinks
for this night, the both of you settled your work aside and decided to focus on your relationship
you both catch up with each other, told stories that was almost forgotten due to how busy youe schedules are, made jokes, and even plans for your future
after finishing your foods, erwin went to the toilet first and you were left by yourself in the huge room
your gaze drifted to the scenery beside you, and you can't help but to feel the beauty of the town despite the shitty world you guys are living in with
your thoughts were interupted as someone started strumming behind you
quickly turning around, you saw erwin standing with a guitar in his arms
he was looking at you as his hand slowly started strumming again, unleashing an unfamiliar yet comforting tune
his strums were a little bit off the tune sometimes but it doesn't matter because the tune sounds perfect in your ears
this is the first time that you saw and heard erwin playing a musical instrument
with a few last strums, he ended the song and his hand fell over the guitar
"i kinda messed up a little bit because i was nervous---" and you cut him off by running towards him and kissing his lips
erwin immediately responded to your kisses as his hand made its way to your waist, pulling you closer to him
his tongue poked in your lower lips, asking permission which you gladly accepted
after minutes of locking lips with each other, you pulled away to catch some air
you smiled at the sight of your partner's swollen lips
giving it one last peck, you pressed your body against him and rested your head on his chest to listen to his heart beats
"i liked it so much, erwin. you made me so happy tonight. i love you!"
with those, erwin slowly smiled and wrapped his arms to your body, embracing you tightly
"im glad you liked it. happy valentine's, you deserve all the love in this world."
erwin might be awkward and tense at these kind of stuffs at first, but he is really trying his best to make you the happiest woman in this world; he might be materialistic at some times but the things he give to you all came from the bottom of his heart as he value everything when it comes to your relationship
