Klassische Ruinen mit einer Jungfrau im Vordergrund, 1915 by Eduard Büchler (Austrian, 1861-1958)
A daily game that challenges our understanding of human cultures. Ten objects. 5,000 years of human history. Guess where and when each artif
An interesting game where you are presented with 10 artifacts from the MET. You have to place where the artifact is from and what time period it is from. Each artifact scores up to 10,000 points, and you lose points the further away your guess is and how far off in time you are. You can only play once a day. Thanks to @baebeylik for showing this to me.
Today I scored really well. Yesterday ... not so much.

Yeah bitch! Did really awesome today! Knew combing through the archives of museums would pay off in some vague practical way someday!

In my defence I was constantly being interrupted by a 7yr old!
Finstergrün Castle in Austria 🇦🇹
Finstergrün Castle is a picturesque medieval-style castle located in the Lungau region of Salzburg, Austria. It sits above the village of Ramingstein and is surrounded by forests and Alpine scenery.
The original fortress dates back to the 12th century and was built to protect local mining routes, especially silver trade in the region. Over time, it lost its military importance and fell into ruin.
In the early 20th century, the castle was rebuilt in a romantic Neo-Gothic style, giving it the fairy-tale appearance seen today. Unlike many castles, it was restored not as a royal residence but as a cultural and youth center.
Today, Finstergrün Castle is used as a youth hostel and event location. It is known for its mountain views, peaceful atmosphere, and strong connection to nature and Austrian history.

Android testers
Hi everyone, I still need some more testers for the app to get it on to Google Play/Android. Right now you have to opt-in and the settings are stuck on pay despite it being unpublished. I am happy to refund all testers (since I can't change it). If you're interested, please DM me and I will add your email and send you the link.
Thanks to those helping so far
Happy Belated birthday to John Constable (June 11, 1776)
Before moving to the UK, I didn't appreciate his work. Now that I've been here close to a decade, I get it now. The English countryside (during good weather of course) is like out of a dream
San Quilico
Location: Olcani, Corsica, France
c. 11th century
“Romanesque chapel San Quilico from the 11th century, isolated in the mountains above the village of Olcani. Built along an old mule track, it probably dates from the early Xth century. Today it has very little of the roof framing. The wall of the apse is decorated with six pilasters in weaker sections, receiving the benefits of arches. Inside the triumphal arch of the apse is composed of alternating white limestone quoins and light green shale. On the interior walls there are still some traces of fresco painting.”
