I feel like these two will NOT get along at all???? like they are both ~princes~ but omg like ulek is like “i just can’t wait to be king” while arth is like “PLEASE UNCLE HAVE 20394823948 KIDS SO I NEVER HAVE TO BE” and like ulek would def think that arth is just lazy and irresponsible and I feel like ulek doesn’t really have too much of a sense of humor and he’d just be like ????? why???? @ arth 24/7

altho omg tho in which they put aside their differences to try to get torul to marry kahrin/adria/sera tho??? like he’s all about alliances and he’s got the harands (he thinks) b/c of mira (sorry mira) and so scoring the molecs would be awesome too??? (plus bonus points if it is sera or kahrin and they don’t have to live with him anymore)

but no, i actually agree?!?!?! like i feel like kol is probably the most emotionally healthy of all of arthun’s parents and it’s probably a good thing that arthun has him tbh haha. still i feel like there’s a lot of eye rolling and sarcasm when it comes to arth and a lot of kol internally like “gdi i thought we raised you better than this” when arth is literally like 27 and still being an idiot child.

For reals!!!!  Like, I feel like everyone except Kol has all their angles they’re pushing and distractions etc but Kol is always there for him...even when he probs wishes he wasn’t lkasdjfalkjdsf  Honestly he’s probs at least half the reason Arth is...Arth and not like idk...Lex Porter or something lkasjdflkajasd  Honestly, he loves the sarcasm and eye rolling!!!!  It makes him feel rebellious ++ it proves he was actually listening ;DDDD  No, but I feel like Arth feels ignored a lot tbh???  Like Tor deF is guilty of that at least and so it actually means a lot that Kol doesn’t do that!!!!!  Plus lbr rebellion is a lot more fun when you get a reaction ;DDD

I feel like Jax didn’t have many friends b/c most ppl were boring/idiots/Quasar fans and he thinks he’s none of those things, but i think he’d LOVE Art and you know they got into SOO MUCH TROUBLE whenever Arth would come to Arvor. Also, like I said in Aram’s comment, I feel like Jax would always pull off these pranks (especially on the Quasars, when he could) and you know he’d enlist Arth to help!!! Also, oMG you know they’d hardly be able to contain themselves b/c the Quasars don’t really have a sense of humor and also NO!!!! CHIL!!!! and just their reactions were actual gold and omg Arth and Jax raising hell as pre-teens is the reason I get out of bed in the morning ;DDD

TBH there’s every chance that she’s def kicked his ass on many occasions in the past b/c Arth is an idiot and Brie def has anger issues and that’s probably not the best combination <3333 haha but at this point she probably rolls her eyes at him ALL THE TIME but he’s also probably one of the few people who gets her to laugh/smile, too now and again. ;DD i THINk it depends on her mood how she responds to his dumb jokes b/c i feel like she either finds them sooo irritating or hilarious idk there is no in between ;DD

“What happened to you?” demanded Brie, jumping to her feet.  She’d been perched on the wing of her ship, intent on the stats in her lap.  As soon as she’d spotted the bedraggled heir to the throne, however, her face became a mask of stony concern.  Arth thought, with bemusement, that she was looked ready to murder someone.  She rushed up to him.  “Why is your mouth bleeding?”

Red rushed to Arthun’s cheeks and he licked his lips nervously - tasting blood.  He cleared his throat.  “I tried to seduce Demeara.”

Rolling her eyes, Brie took a step back.  She shook her head.  “I should have known.  And she punched you in the teeth.  Did you deserve it?”

“No!” exclaimed Arthun.  “And…no.  I thought it would be…romantic…to bring her flowers.”

“Oh…no…” muttered Brie, burying her face in her hands.  He could feel second-hand embarrassment rolling off her like the ocean around them.  “What happened?”

“So I asked myself, what’s the most romantic flower, right?”

Brie shifted, crossing her arms over her chest.  Her face was tragic.  “…Ok.”  Her tone was noncommittal.

“I imported the most beautiful roses I could find from all over Vaane.  I mean, these flowers…pure sex.”  Here Brie rolled her eyes.  “All the way from Vaane, right?  I mean…talk about gestures…”

“…No…”

Arth shot her a dirty look, but Brie continued to shake her head and Arth continued to tell his tale.  “Eventually they arrive.  I fly out to see her with these just…incredible flowers in tow, right?  It’s perfect!  I arrive at night, the most romantic of times, as the sun is setting.  She knows I’m coming, but not when, so I decide to surprise her.”

“I’m,” Brie waved a hand.  “Ugh.  What next?”

“Well, I’m on fire.  I decide that the most impressive entrance…”

“Oh no.”

“…Would be to sneak in through her window.”

“I knew it,” sighed Brie.  She paced away and came back.  Arthun resumed.

“As I’m contemplating this, I realize that…it’s gonna be difficult to climb up that lattice with a bunch of roses in my arms-”

“Here it comes.”

“-So I put one in my mouth.”

Brie’s expression turned sardonic as she looked at his bloody lips.  “It would have been a lot more romantic if you de-thorned the rose before you put it in your mouth…”

Fixing her with a look, the prince shook his head.  “Now you tell me,” replied Arthun, ruefully.  Gingerly, he rubbed his chin.

“So did you at least get laid?” asked Brie, after a pause.

“No,” sighed Arth.  “As soon as I started to crawl in her window, she thought she was being attacked, so she…punched me in the teeth-”

“I knew it!”

“-and I fell back out the window.”

“Ouch.”

“She came out to finish me off…and realized who it was…“

“What did she say?”

Arth sighed and glanced away.  “‘It would have been a lot more romantic if you de-thorned the rose before you put it in your mouth…’”

I’m not sure what Leck would think about Arthun tbh??? He def has a weird thing w/ his uncle since Torul lived with them for awhile and tbh he def does nOT like Torul and I think that that would carry over to Arthun??? But I’m not sure Leck is so weird??? I guess it would also depend if Leck would be at all uncertain of Arthun’s loyalties???

HAHAHAH Arth’s loyalties idek what to say about them????  Atm they’re primarily w his friends tbqh.  Like, if he saw Byssya in a desperate situation, I do think he’d ultimately rise to the challenge, surprising everyone (including himself) but I do think he underestimates how bad things are...mostly bc he just never thinks about it #facepalm  But anyway, he def is NOT out there raising awareness about anything except Tor’s ongoing “search” (quotes since as far as Tor’s concerned, the matter is all but settled s/o to mira) for a mate smh  I feel like, when on Arvor, you can mostly find Arth in dive bars, making eyes at Demeara/getting his wallet stolen, or at the Arena, sponsoring his various and sundry unfortunate friends????  But he def associates a lot (read: mostly) w ppl below his station so yeah????? 

Leck having a weird thing about tor actually makes my life though!!!!  Also the feeling is SO MUTUAL tor would def attempt to kill Leck’s children too s/o to brotherly love in VN <3
