“Fun” facts: he spends all of first season unaware of what he is, couple episodes in decides to name himself John Doe he doesn't have a physical appearance, he's just in control of Arthur's eyes (and later one hand and leg due to eldritch shenanigans) John is the narrator of the podcast cuz his host (Arthur) doesn't have access to sight anymore, so John is his seeing eye eldritch entity, early on they have a lot of "the other left" arguments or John warning Arthur to duck a bit too late
