Oh, when I was a kid, I'd wish I was something else constantly. Usually either a big macho Lupe, or one of the winged species.

I don't get those daydreams anymore. I think the Lupe thing was just gender dysphoria, and the wing thing... uh, it turns out I don't like flying.

I used to want to be something other than a Kougra. Maybe an Aisha or something. I didn't care about the specifics, I just wanted the other kids to stop calling me Brawnhilda.

Then I ripped a wraith in half with my bare hands, and at that point I decided I was pretty much done with letting other people pass judgements about my body.
