For fifty years they had guarded the arch druid’s territory. But her companion was getting old, meaning that it was once more time to strike out on their own. She had a dragon soul to return to its rightful owner, and it had been put off for too long already.
It had been hard leaving her compatriots behind. Leaving her sister behind. But looking back, she realized that she had felt like an outsider for a long time, unwelcome even. While they sought the trappings of civilization, she herself sought, in equal measure, the deep forests.
The more time passed without hearing from them, the more clarity she felt around her choice to heed her connection to the wild. To her freedom.
Breathe; Society, demands, expectations. Life can be stifling. In a world of constant connectivity, sometimes, all we really need, is a pause, a moment, to just, Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â breathe.
Ignov the Shackled Raven After a raven stole from the gods, Ignov, Mother of Ravens, were shackled to the mountain she calls home. To never again soar free. Punished for her children’s mischief by the gods, and, lauded as the patron of thieves by mortals.                Fact is, however, that the god in question had dropped a silver emblem while out on a walk. A raven, being a raven, had seen the shiny object and grabbed it out of curiosity, flying away with it. The punishment? Unjust. The thieves? She was ambivalent to their existence at the best of times. Yet she could do nothing about either as time marched on, watching the morning’s come and go from her mountain home.
Dropping this doodle here while I contemplate whether I want to keep working on it, or whether or not to add gold to it for fun. Hmmm…
Little Centaur
Just a doodle I did a short while back while playing around with digital painting techniques. Productivity has been low as of late due to personal circumstances, but hopefully you like this as much as I did working on it ^^
Happy Halloween! Haven’t been able to post for a little while. So, I decided to throw something together for Halloween just for fun! Hope you all are enjoying autumn and spoopy vibes.
Little Human Girl Just a technique experiment
“Seen” To be seen, like a lynx rolling in the heath. There is a joy to be found in being seen like that.
In the moment.
Unjudged.
Untethered from the demands of society.
To just, be.
Flutter - Life is but the brief flutter of wings within the vastness that is time.
“Hunting” We hunt. Our desires silent, like the wings of an owl in flight. Silent, up until the very moment, claws outstretched, we act.
Doodling a bunch of strange houses with pen. Looking at images from the u.k, India, and Norway, combining random elements (:
“Moments” Immutable experiences malleable by time. They make us who we are.
“Trapped” Caught. Suffocating in a web of societies making. Trapped. No way out.
“Guardian” We are not all the same. Yet, when we feel small, we seek out those close to us. Companionship being the guardian that staves off the world.
A bit of doodling, a bit of planning, and, a bit of practice while at work ✌️
