The theme was 1920s - and although the first Printed Circuit Boards weren’t quiiiiite invented as early as that, I always thought that the golden lines and blue-green backgrounds of circuit boards felt aesthetically similar to art deco patterns.

Change is coming?

When I first created this tumblr account, the main thing I had in mind was a portfolio. I wanted a website where people could see my artwork, and browse my pattern designs and illustrations. With the recent launch of my new website and portfolios, I no longer need to use my tumblr as a portfolio - which means it can become an actual blog! I’m not much of a blogger, but I do find sometimes I’d like a place where I can ramble a little more than on my instagram, share more of my process and the behind-the-scenes of what I’m doing, give updates on my stores etc. so I think I need to try and force myself to learn how to blog!

In conclusion: there will be less art on here, more... talking. Discussions. So if you want to see mostly art, follow my instagram, and if you want my portfolios and to browse my work (or get into contact with me about licensing, where to buy my products, freelance etc), check out my website.

Wow, does anyone else find blogging really awkward? It’ll take me a while to get used to this! Thanks for sticking around!
