Hi! I'm Hit Jim, and this is my art. I went to SCAD. I  have a degree in Sequential Art and a minor in Animation and Storyboarding.

I started redesigning horror book covers into picture books. Here’s Lapvona by Otessa Moshfegh. I also do reviews of them on my Instagram and (regrettably) Tik Tok. Suffice to say I was not a fan of this book, just too much poo.

[ID: A day of hourly comics drawn in a medieval style – solid colors, flat shapes without shading, no perspective (all the action on the same plane), ornamental borders, and the simple but expressive facial features typical of this era of art. Main character is wearing dark red overdress, green sleeves, and a white veil, while holding a fork, a plate with a banana, fruit and peanut butter, and drinking from a goblet. MC and her sister sit on the couch with their soup and watch television, a floating screen surrounded by clouds and divine radiance. This panel incorporates some one point perspective in depicting the couch and TV stand. The curly dog from panel 5 is on the floor under the TV, and the ends of the couch arms have faces. Panel 9: 8-1: “Writ komyc a-geyn”. MC writes comics. The dragon-creature and dog are sleeping; the background is dark blue and dotted with a moon and stars. Panel 10: 2: “Vexacion ov Angwissh bestes”. MC, now in yellow sleeping-clothes in bed, looks with open eyes and a tormented expression on a crowd of anguish beasts. The beasts are varied in form and color, and evoke medieval manuscript beasts. They are saying: “ydiote”, “lewd sloven”, “weche koward”, and “Remembre þy wikkidness and schame ov þyr yiuth”. /End ID]
