How do the trees know not to touch each other?

Had a lot of fun painting this tiny micro watercolor. It measures about one inch by two and a half. My best guess is that it's a computer hardware representation of the watercolor portion of my brain around the time I first out this on paper. I like to think it's much more developed now. ;D
