A "behind-the-scenes" look at our unrolling of "La Merced, Quito" (Church, Quito, Ecuador). With the help of our photo conservator @nyplconservation, we gently took this chromogenic print or "c-print" (the technical term for color photographs) out of its tube and used weights to keep it flat.
