Krystle Lemonias, @empress1989kl is an art educator at Arts Unbound and an exhibiting artist in the Xl Catlin Exhibit. Her work is majorly inspired by black life and presents black men who has influenced her life. She uses this to highlight racial inequality that men of color experience in the United States. In making these portraits, she wants to show something unique about each person. She thinks this will allow people to see them each as individuals rather than conditioned stereotypes.
