✨Rococo art✨
The definition of Rococo art is: Rococo, less commonly Rococo or late Baroque, is an exceptionally ornamental and theatrical style of architecture, art, and decoration which combines asymmetry, scrolling curves gliding white pastel colors, sculpted, molding, and trompe-l’œil frescoes to create surprise and the illusion of motion and drama
Thsi began approximately in 1730
Created famous paintings such as; The swing, the blue boy, the triumph of Venus, and many more
Rococo art was represented as a reaction against Louis IXVs palace of Versailles
Rococo painting began with the graceful yet melancholy paintings of Antoine Watteau
This art style started in Paris but spread all throughout France, other countries took part in it as well (primarily Germany and Austria)
Rococo decorators wanted to give a theatrical sense and also the sense of open space often using mirrors to do that.
