A large percentage of our country doesn’t know of, or care about Normandy. A few weekends ago, British artist Jamie, accompanied by numerous volunteers, took to the beaches of Normandy with rakes and stencils in hand to etch 9,000 silhouettes into the sand, representing fallen soldiers. Titled The Fallen 9000, the piece is meant as a stark visual reminder of those who died during the D-Day beach landings at Arromanches on June 6th, 1944 during WWII. The original team consisted of 60 volunteers, but as word spread nearly 500 additional local residents arrived to help with the temporary installation that lasted only a few hours before being washed away by the tide. 9,000 Fallen Soldiers Etched into the Sand on Normandy Beach to Commemorate Peace Day. What is surprising is that nothing about this was seen here in the U.S. Someone from overseas had a friend who sent it with a note of gratitude for what the U.S. started there. Please share with others who understand “freedom is not free – nor has it ever been”
At least 9,000 lives wasted if the end result is a trump-led U.S., or a Western Europe that even bears a small smear of his influence (i.e., excrement).
Interesting that the video stopped dead in its tracks twice on me, so l just kept staring it over and advancing it to the spot it died on the previous iteration. I finally got through it.
The Georgia Team ladies deserve the snub,. What did they think was going to happen? WHY would they even think to accept such a hollow honor as allowing this charlatan to congratulate them. Sorry, they should have boycotted the White House visit; they diminished themselves by groveling at his altar in search of his self-aggrandizing “praise”.
Sounds to me like they are admitting he IS in fact a pedofile.

The world has bid farewell to a remarkable creature whose life bridged three centuries.
The San Diego Zoo recently mourned the passing of Gramma, a Galápagos tortoise estimated to be 141 years old—a gentle giant who outlived two world wars, more than 20 U.S. presidents, and two global pandemics.
Born around 1884 in the Galápagos Islands, Gramma arrived at the zoo between 1928 and 1931 as part of an early conservation initiative. Affectionately dubbed the "Queen of the Zoo" by her caregivers for her sweet, shy demeanor, she captivated generations of visitors, evolving from a figure in vintage black-and-white photos to a modern social media icon.
In November 2025, zoo staff made the compassionate choice to humanely euthanize her due to progressive age-related bone degeneration. As an enduring symbol of her endangered species, Gramma inspired millions to support reptile conservation efforts worldwide.
To celebrate her legacy, the zoo suggests honoring her with one of her favorite meals: a fresh salad featuring romaine lettuce and cactus fruit.
Though Gramma is no longer with us, her extraordinary longevity and quiet presence continue to underscore the San Diego Zoo's vital role in protecting Galápagos tortoises.
They really really deserve it. No sympathy!
People don’t just hear it; they enter it.
Love has a place for you here, whether it's rain or shine. May you and myself keep those words tucked in our hearts.
Like a quiet vow spoken under a wide sky. There are times when I feel like naming a kind of shelter that isn’t tied to weather, circumstance, or mood, but to intention. A place we can all choose to hold open, even when the world tilts.
There are so many songs to choose from for this moment... one of them that comes to mind is “Holocene” from indie folk band Bon Iver. This song hits me in a place where humility and transcendence meet. Frontman Justin Vernon has said the title refers to a Portland bar where he had a “dark night of the soul.”
The song sits in that paradox of "You’re special and not special at the same time." That duality is something almost everyone recognizes but rarely articulates.
The music video was filmed in Iceland with a Red Camera. The video should serve as proof that the art of the music video is not dead.
Great song, great video.

Obama represents everything the orange shitsack could never achieve
It’s obvious that the crybaby bitch who’s now taking up breathing space in the white house knows how inferior he is to a real leader and President that he has to be a petty little racist bitch.

The board of the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., voted to rename it the Trump-Kennedy Center, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a post on X Thursday.
"I have just been informed that the highly respected Board of the Kennedy Center, some of the most successful people from all parts of the world, have just voted unanimously to rename the Kennedy Center to the Trump-Kennedy Center, because of the unbelievable work President Trump has done over the last year in saving the building," she wrote.
"Congratulations to President Donald J. Trump, and likewise, congratulations to President Kennedy, because this will be a truly great team long into the future! The building will no doubt attain new levels of success and grandeur," Leavitt added in her post.
Roma Daravi, the center’s Vice President of Public Relations, confirmed the move in a statement to NBC News.

Everyone knows this, along with the fact that immigrants commit less crime than the general population. That’s one of the reasons why crime rates are falling.
