Arachnidbu

Modern AU where Arachnid and Wemmbu are dating (they're totally healthy here!).

Can you guys tell that I love otome games? It's probably super obvious.

But basically, Wemmbu plays an otome game similar to Love and Deepspace and there's a character in the game that looks and sounds almost the same as Arachnid.

I like to think that the character in the game is like super mean to the MC and is very manipulative which is the exact opposite of how Modern AU Arachnid would act.

Wemmbu is super giddy and always excited to share with him about all the cruel (but hot) things the game character does. Arachnid gets jealous of that game version of him.

It makes him feel a little insecure that maybe Wemmbu preferred that other version of him. But each time without fail, Wemmbu would always reassure Arachnid that he loves him and would always choose his sweet boyfriend any day.

But like, thoughts on Grim Reaper Wemmbu x Dullahan Flame?

Both being personifications of death/death gods. Reaping souls/guiding the dead to the afterlife. One harvests souls with grace, one announces your name leading to instant death. I'm not sure where I'm going with this tbh. It was just a little thought bubble...

Edit: I think I managed to articulate my thoughts? I'm not quite sure but I'm writing this down without actually checking for mistakes so forgive me if I get facts wrong.

The way they reap souls are kinda on brand for their characters?

Grim reapers harvest souls with their scythe and all sure, but they cleanly sever the soul from the mortal bodies. It's similar to how everyone always talks about how Wemmbu's orbital cannons can instantly one shot a player. (Where am I going with this..)

Dullahans shout out your name and claim your soul and if you try to escape, they'll hunt you down for the rest of your life (This is either correct or Google has lied to my face) which is slightly similar to how Flame was acting during Wemmbu's invis arc. He was determined to hunt the invisible knight no matter what it takes, by any means necessary.

Plus, Flame's blindfold is kinda why I was thinking about his whole Dullahan thing. Headless.. no sight.. (curse you ADHD brain idk what I'm talking about. My train of thought probably didn't make sense omg I need to stick with just Arachbu and Jadenbu)

JADENBU

Maybe an extension of the otaku Wemmbu AU.

Game setting where instead of an RPG game, Jaden is from an otome game/romance visual novel.

Jaden can see the Wemmbu behind the game screen.

At first he couldn't do anything, he could only watch as the game's coding puppeteers his body to say dialogues he never means or sentences he'd never say.

He remains there. Always watching, always waiting.

Till one day, he manages to break away from the controls of the narrative.

Now he has the ability to manipulate Wemmbu's choices so that it always leads towards his route.

Each time Wemmbu restarts the game, Jaden will always make sure the dialogue options work in his favour, but always with different dialogues or even different scenes (He hijacks other Love Interests scenes).

Wemmbu remains oblivious.

But sometimes he wishes that there were more to this.

He longs to touch Wemmbu, to talk to him, to fully express his emotions. He wants to hold Wemmbu in his arms, not the default placeholder character. He wants to feel Wemmbu's warmth.

He wishes. And wishes. And wishes.

He doesn't know how long he's been trapped here.

One day he'll escape this hell.

Arachnidbu

Corrupt priest Arachnid who has help from summoned archdemon, Wemmbu.

He uses Wemmbu's powers to spread immoral teachings and false divine messages. Building himself a reputation of saviour all while Wemmbu grows in power from the negative environment and sins of the masses thanks to Arachnid.

In the morning, Wemmbu would be in disguise, subtly influencing the minds of the devoted while Arachnid sings praises of the archdemon himself. His eyes alight with greed.

At night, Wemmbu would kneel, bite and hiss. Begging for the wretched human to never take on another summoned. He should be the only one Arachnid worships. No one else can compare to him.

What Wemmbu doesn't know is that this is all a ploy to gain power and more knowledge regarding demons in order to trap Wemmbu and chain him down forever with him in this hellish mortal world.

Wemmbu who wonders why every single one of his relationships seems to fail.

Every time he chooses to give his heart to someone, trusting them to be gentle with him, somehow it always ends with a part of him shattered, bruised and torn.

He wonders if he's the problem.

Cue Jaden swooping in like a knight in shining armor, showing him how loved Wemmbu really is.

He treats him right and makes sure to always show how devoted he is to Wemmbu.

Time and time again, he's proven himself that he'll always make Wemmbu his main priority, always choosing him.

Always him.

So when Arachnid slays his beloved right in front of him, he was ready to ban the spider hybrid and then himself.

Jaden would follow wherever Wemmbu goes, no matter how dangerous. It's only natural that he would do the same.

Wherein Wemmbu is an otaku who fanboys over his favourite side character in an rpg game.

He does a lot of oshikatsu activities for Jaden. He has plushies, acrylic stands, makes itabags of Jaden, etc.

Then one day Jaden, the character from the rpg appears in his room mid gameplay.

Imagine standing in a room filled to the brim with only you. Posters on the walls (maybe even ceilings), little plush toys and figurines of you arranged neatly on decorated shelves, badges and keychains with different illustrations hanging on every corkboard.

WIFIESBU AU! ANGST!

Wifies as ghost haunting a library that falls in love with Wemmbu, the writer who can see him — but only through his own unfinished manuscript.

Wemmbu is creatively blocked, staring at a half-written story. The manuscript acts as a literal "window"-whenever he look at the pages, a ghost appears in his peripheral vision, sitting across from him in the quiet library.

Wifies is bound to the library (since when you die, you stay in your version of heaven, to Wifies, it was staying in this library), he is invisible to everyone else. But he has watched Wemmbu struggle for months and feel a deep, silent kinship since he himself was an author prior to his death.

Wemmbu can only interact with the ghost by writing to them in the manuscript. If he close the notebook and shut their laptop, Wifies vanishes from sight.

From this, he grew to enjoy having conversations with Wifies. The ghost's intelligence intrigues the writer, he gained knowledge everytime he spoke with Wifies. His creativity replenished from each conversation.

Wifies fell in love. The writer's wit and eloquence is on par with his. Each time the writer spoke, it felt as if the world gave him life once more.

But all good things must come to an end.

Every word Wemmbu adds to the manuscript brings the story closer to completion, Wifies grew paranoid. It was years since he met a person like Wemmbu. Years since he had someone to talk to.

Not wanting the manuscript to be finished, Wifies does something unforgivable:

he sabotages the story.

Pages go missing. Entire scenes rewrite themselves overnight. Endings become incoherent no matter how many times Wemmbu fixes them.

Eventually, Wemmbu realizes the truth — Wifies is changing the manuscript to stop it from ever being completed.

Because the closer the story gets to its ending, the more Wifies begins to fade.

The manuscript was never just a way for Wemmbu to see him. It is what ties Wifies to the world. An unfinished story keeps him there; a finished one means goodbye.

Wifies knows it’s selfish. He knows he’s manipulating the one person he loves enough to keep. But after decades of isolation inside the library, he cannot bear losing Wemmbu too.

Meanwhile, Wemmbu slowly realizes he has fallen in love as well. But he needs to finish it.

Why? Because it was a biography of the one and only Wifies.

Villain Arachnid x Magical Girl Wemmbu

(Wemmbu's not underage in this I swear, I just like the concept.)

He wasn't always the villain, but seeing Wemmbu fight his opponents lit a fire in him he wasn't sure possible. So he becomes one.

Borrows powers of unknown origins and by day he's just a simple man but under the cover of the night, he fights his idol and his main obsession, Wemmbu.

He doesn't even care whether he loses or wins the fight as long as he can see Wemmbu in all his glory.

Blindfold brothers and Wemmbu were childhood friends and one of the brothers were supposed to be Wemmbu's fiance. But Flame always ended up choosing Lomedy over Wemmbu and Mane having some sort of avoidany attachment Wemmbu + "Lost Cause."

This results to Wemmbu's family cancelling the engagement plans. In revenge for the heartbreak he felt, Wemmbu went and created a reputation as the first ever prince to scout a harem.

(In this au, harems are non existant)

To atone for there wrongdoings, Mane and Flame tried to fix things and convince wemmbu to have the engagement w their family.

But did wemmbu do that? No!

He flunted his harem—refered to as the Prince's jewels—to their faces.

Arachnidbu

Black Butler kinda inspired AU (?)

Egg dies so Wemmbu makes a deal with the demon, Arachnid to get revenge on the people responsible for Egg's death in exchange for Wemmbu's soul.

He finds Wemmbu's anger delicious, that bloodthirsty personality enchanting. Without even noticing, he grows protective of his darling meal.

Normally, he wouldn't have cared that Wemmbu would perish in the midst of his revenge. But now he feels... Saddened. Mourning the absence of his precious master if he really were to die.

The thought of eating Wemmbu's soul was enticing, yes. But at the cost of never hearing his voice again? Of never seeing his favorite toy? Arachnid doesn't think he could bear the thought of it.

Turning Wemmbu into a demon so he could stay by Arachnid's side for the rest of eternity would be an easy feat.

Maybe Wemmbu would be miserable for a couple hundred years, never able to flee into the sweet embrace of death to meet his dearest Eggchan. But at the end of it all, he'll always crawl back to Arachnid.

A demon's greed knows no bounds even if he has grown slightly fond of his pet.
