Anyhow, I saw something similar to this sweater yesterday and I tried to recreate something just as chaotic as I didn’t bother saving it as a direct reference, so…I hope I succeeded? I was going to use my usual laid back artstyle for this, but…then I spent two hours drawing the clothes themselves and decided I couldn’t just do that, so I dug this one out of old drafts. Haven’t drawn like this in quite a while, it’s just much too difficult to get the main brush I use for this to not look too pixelated and unblended with the rest of whatever it sits on, but I guess I made it work this time…somehow.

Still…I should add as a side note that I somehow completely forgot to change the pressure settings on a brush I used for the heart patterns, and because I don’t use a stylus or anything of that sort, I was essentially just burning off my fingertips trying to get it to register I didn’t just want a few pixels of a line. I only set it to my usual settings afterwards, which…was not my finest nor proudest moment. I sometimes wonder how I consider myself a digital artist when I do things like that on a regular basis, really.

Some kind of coloring attempt in this artstyle…probably not my proudest moment, but ah well.

I’ve definitely said this somewhere before, but I’m aware Arthur’s hair is black, so each time I draw it brown, please assume I just have some kind of convenient inability to shade it in properly without it turning some completely different color, and the only times I did achieve it is because I desaturated it in settings afterwards. I doubt it’s something many people mind, given I’ve seen countless artworks of him that don’t follow such a thing either, but…some part of me cares enough to clarify it.
