#wwtester #marble #sneakpeek #wrapreview When I decided I wanted my second baby to share the experience of being wrapped, my mind made a spot for a Woven Wings to find a home, that spot is now filled by my favorite BP linen. I’m over the moon when I got to host a #wwtester, the elegant #marble tester, a lovely blend of Egyptian Cotton, Viscose Flax and Ethical Merino and a lovely medium weight that kept us going throughout the humid season we are having in Singapore at the moment. There are torrents of rainfall which is followed by sunshine that plants a layer of moisture over your brow. Yet the #wwtester just lets us prance around unbothered by the weather, dealing with school runs and hanging outdoors. It fits in my loved characteristics of mouldable with the recoil that lets you fill your lungs with morning’s fresh air with ease. It is that comfortable in holding up my 2.5yr old high up in a double hammock, at his favourite perch. The EC and merino lends a lovely soft feel on its surface. The wraps hugs the back of my little one snugly in FWCC and CHCC, the slipknot holding firm. I would use it for a squish to a growing toddler. My little man bounced and back flipped while we worked out some of our selfie shots but I didn't had to rewrap him; gosh this I like so much! There’s small segments of floats which are a little irregular, that tickles my curiosity because I find pleasure in inspecting patterns when I repair pulls in wraps. It isn't particularly pull-prone pattern, the couple of tiny pulls that accompanies persistent use of a wrap easily ease back into the wrap with small tugs. I love easy repairs, which means I get to wrap with it sooner. The colour is like a mix of bluish grey and sea glass, the slight minty touch that gives a cool aspect to marble, yet warmed by the sea glass. The marble pattern makes an elegant statement. Stolen Patterns from PinDIY

Tumblr friends and fellow crafters, I could use your help.

Those of us who make crochet, knitting, or cross stitch patterns to sell on Etsy and Ravelry are no strangers to theft. There’s a website called PinDIY where users can share and sell PDF downloads of patterns. I’ve found at least two of my own patterns that I sell on Etsy being distributed on this website without my permission. They even used my full name, as if to give me credit, when clearly the pattern does not belong to them. Whoever posts these patterns removes watermarks and even changes photographs on the pattern.   

I’m not an extremely tech-savvy person, and this website was challenging for me to navigate. The website FAQ states that one can contact administration through a “contact me” link at the bottom of the page that does not exist. There is no way to contact other users through personal messages until you purchase an advanced account, so I can’t even contact the moderator of the forum, let alone contact the admin’s profile. Yesterday I made my account, reported the post and left reasonable feedback as to why, left a comment on the thread requesting that it be removed, and today when I go to login, I’m banned! Banned from the website.

Clearly I’m not the only one to have issues with this website. Many Etsy users have complained and were unable to get their patterns removed: https://www.etsy.com/teams/7722/discussions/discuss/14352919/

To anyone who makes and sells PDF crochet, cross-stitch, or knitting patterns, please check this site and make sure your patterns haven’t been posted without your permission.

Thank you for all of the reblogs so far. I just wanted to add that I made a second account just to comment on a thread, requesting removal of a pattern, I never reported it, and I was banned within minutes of posting. And the number of views some of the stolen downloads have gotten so far are in the hundreds.

That’s hundreds of people who might have considered spending just a few dollars for a pattern, which helps me out tremendously, instead of downloading stolen patterns for free.
