While I'm no longer active in the PotC fandom, I am on the hunt for a niche plot in a very similar fandom / concept, so it seemed appropriate to share my request here as well.

In the Caribbean, there's a tale of a man who had nothing, but desired everything. A skilled sailor, he made the sea submit to his call, growing in power and riches.
But all men must die.
Driven by the fear of losing it all, he hunted down shamans to cheat death itself. When they refused him, he burned their cities to the ground. With their dying breaths, the shamans cursed him with a rotting plague. In his rage, he nailed their corpses to his ship as a warning to all.
Now, he carries his plague to the Indian Ocean, chasing after the whispers of a cure and a pirate empire ripe for the taking.

This is a long shot but I figured I'd put out feelers and see if I can get any bites.
I'm seeking a writing partner who would be interested in portraying Philippe La Peste in a Skull and Bones (or a more generic age of piracy setting with fantasy elements) roleplay, whether long-term and plot-driven or shorter, one-shot type scenarios, via tumblr, Discord, email or some other medium.
Knowledge of Skull and Bones lore is not necessary, given that it is very bare-bones as is, and there is some freedom in how La Peste can be portrayed with the limited information established. An OC inspired by La Peste may also be considered.
This is first and foremost an interest check so I don't have a fully fleshed out plot, but I am looking for elements of a slow-burn romance, akin to Beauty and the Beast, as but one component of a larger plot likely involving the search for a cure, an artefact said to have enough power to make one's dreams come true, or damn one to eternal torment. Ultimately, I would love to discuss ideas with potential partners to create something we will both find enjoyment in.
I have over 20 years of writing and roleplaying experience, though I haven't been writing as often in recent years and will be a little rusty. I write in third person descriptive format (multi-para to novella), and above all I desire attention to detail, character introspection and dynamics, and a slower pace overall. I can get a little overwhelmed by very long replies, however, so there's no pressure to write extensive replies or match length. I actually have been leaning more towards brevity to allow for proper reactions and responses without any overlapping (not a fan of multiple conversations ongoing at once). I'm also a slow writer, posting a few times a week at most, so I'm not looking for anything rapid-fire.
Finally, I'm primarily looking for something story-driven with the potential for NSFW elements.

I’ve been meaning to get to threads for a long time now but I sort of ended up giving up on the blog a bit even though I really enjoy all of the threads, starters and plots I’ve got. Going to try to commit to them over the weekend but maybe tumblr rp just isn’t for me.
“Narrow-minded?” Carina scoffed at the irony. Although he was right — at least when it came to her willingness to believe in the supernatural — she would not concede just yet. “I’m not wrong that your state has no basis in science, and yet, here you are. I have not denied that fact, I’m just... sceptical.”
I promise I’ll get to owes (eventually) I’ve just been far too engrossed in Sea of Thieves. I’m always lurking in the background for shorter replies/asks and stuff though!
