I remember when Big Momma’s House came out - and that was what fat black femmes were called BIG MOMMAS HOUSE…LIKE THE WHOLE FUCKING HOUSE AND BIG MOMMA.

Then Norbit came out - and Rasputia was the name folks we’re calling fat black femmes.

Then Precious came out - and that was the name folks were calling all black fat femmes.

And don’t let somebody try and be /nice/ and try to compare black fat femmes to someone in media - it’s always Jill Scott or Queen Latifah. WE HAVE BARELY ANY REPRESENTATION FOR FAT BLACK BODIES AND THE MAJORITY OF THE REPRESENTATION IS EITHER CODIFIED AS UGLY(READ: COLORISM) OR SEXUALIZED BECAUSE OF THEIR ACCEPTABLE FATNESS.
