     Well this was something Morgan could confide some confidence in! How good bear was was something he found some knowledge in, given that it was a unique game meat that  if done properly, would be rather delicious! … That was his best guess anyways and all he hoped was that Rin felt the same. … Hopefully. 

“ Well I’ve yet to see anywhere specialize in bear.. maybe it’s rather rare here but.. I’m sure when we find one it will be good! “ He’d let out a very slow, awkward laugh at hearing Rin talk about refusing to pay if it wasn’t good. He was pretty sure that was against some kind of rule.. 

“ … If it’s bad, I’ll take responsibility and pay for it, then.. but I think it would be interesting if you wrote a list of things you’ve never tried and wanted to at least once in your life. That would be fun to try out, right? “

    This would be a new adventure, an adventure about food. Kind of funny how that happened yet she isn’t going to complain. After all Rin is very interested in trying this bear meat. Now if Morgan is lucky enough to find it soon then the magus would be able to remain interested. If the not then, well, she won’t refuse it.

      She just won’t have it at the front of her mind, it’d be all the way in the back a lot like many other information she has gathered from this place. “I’ll be holding you to find the best in that case,” she flashed him a smile.

    He would pay for it? “You don’t really need to, I’m sure, just don’t finish the food. Buuut if you really want then you can.” Rin really couldn’t care “I can try, but it’s hard to think of stuff I’ve never thought of.”

   ♫♪… ❝Yes I… I know that.❞ Yet she was too caught up in her nerves, in the fright she feels trying to explore a part of the city that is so new to her. Finding work, finding her way around, making a new schedule, it is all imperative yet has required her to step further out of her comfort zone, to work towards the goal of being able to surivive in this world and find some kind of happiness here. She wants to be back home, gardening alongside Inigo or dancing in the flower fields to a melody she sings. These are all only dreams now, she has to work with the world she has been given.

    ❝I’m really sorry again, I was just trying to find my way to the dance studio but I think I got turned about several streets back and have been struggling to correct the directions since.❞ It does not seem that she has injured this woman, no more than a dent in her time and perhaps a little discomfort, but Olivia still feels shame. It is a poor first impression, if anything.

     Perhaps she has been a little harsh on her, yet at the same time she found herself refusing to admit so. For the moment at the very least. Part of Rin felt a little bad about it due to how nervous she was acting or at least from what the magus noticed with the woman's body language. Sighing, Rin raised a hand and let it fall down to her side.

     The very least she can do is offer some help.

     “Forget it. I might be able to help you, I’ve gotten used to this maze after all.” It took months to, but she had been able to manage one way or another. Otherwise living in this city would have been utter hell, even more so then it is now.

     ♫♪… She was just looking for a dance studio, somewhere she could practice and find peace with herself, and while she had been to one once before, the city provided constant changes forming challenges in every task she found herself seeking to complete. The summer was coming and with it were brighter days and a little more hope for the regularly timid dancer, but everything was not perfectly in place for her. Though she was now allowed to feel more comfortable walking the streets of this city, she still found herself jumping when the rounded the corner and encountered a stranger, nearly bumping into her as she walked to the waltz in her head. There was a pause, a moment of fright, though the stranger did not look so frightening as many others that Olivia had encountered in this city.

      ❝I’m so sorry… I should be paying better attention to my surroundings.❞ She offered an apology with a little bow of her head, hands clasped and voice soft among all the white noise of the city.

     “You should. You could injure someone if you don’t.” 

     Ah, perfect Rin Tousaka who is so soft and sweet except she’s really a blunt person who doesn’t think another feelings straight away. It is something she is trying to work on, but her mind often strays from it and onto more important details when it comes to the city. Resting a hand on her hip, she sighs.

     Just what is this woman doing and wearing those type of clothes? Raising a brow and tilting her head, she looked the girl up and down in an attempt to figure out what she is or where she could from. Unfortunately, she found herself lacking answers and it annoyed the magus quite a bit.

     Hearing her acceptance of the offer brings that of a minuscule smile to her countenance, one nod being proffered in turn to what it is she speaks. Thus, she merely motions for the Master to follow her, planning to lead her to a small bistro which she has become fond of in her stay within the city that is not far from their current position. And, before much time passes, they arrive to find a table vacant, the youthful saint taking a seat as she awaits the other.

     Moments pass while the waiter approaches to take what orders they might desire before wandering off soon after to fetch their beverages.

     ❝ I recall you saying you had two or three questions. You are free to ask them here and I will answer them to the best of my ability. ❞

    It’s a good thing that Jehanne offered because that means she would be able to make sure they would reach their destination. By the looks of it, she knew where to go. As they walked there, the magus took note to pay attention to where they are going. Surely if she would be able to learn to navigate the sector alone if she learned what looked like what and near where.

    The place did not look too bad and she found herself glancing at the details of the building. The menu did not look too bad either with what they offered and Rin felt pleased with the place. Her attention is quickly brought back to the blonde when she hears her voice. “Ah, yes, that’s right.”

    “You’re a Servant if I am correct, however I have never heard of your class... the Ruler class before. I am curious as to why that might be.”

After emptying out the box he’d been given upon arrival, a pile of small, intricate parts lay before him on the table. He knew what the end product of this Vector model was meant to look like but for some reason, the construction of it was baffling to him, even after looking over the instructions page 20 times - or was it 30 now? 

He’d passed the point where he could give up on this project, it’d just frustrate him to no end. Desperation setting in, he lifted a hand out behind his chair to stop the person behind him. “Excuse me, I don’t suppose you’re any better with these kinds of things?”

     Omf.

     Pushing her brows together and turning her head around, Rin looked over at the man and raised an eyebrow. Sounds like he needs help and her eyes drifted over to the table. It looked like parts to something. Sighing, she turned around and rested a hand on her hip.

     “I might be, but what am I supposed to get out of helping you?” There is no way she will offer her time to someone she doesn’t know and even if she knew him, she didn’t like to do anything without requiring something back in return. The magus always liked knowing she could work hard and find something at the end of that path.

“ Well, yes. During father’s caravans when we’d have to camp out at forests with little food, there would be some game but plenty of wild bears! We found find a large enough one and take it out, providing enough food for the entire camp! “ While it may have sounded odd to her, not starving was something Morgan was fond of. Besides, bear meat wasn’t expressly bad.. it was kind of an acquired taste! 

“ How come? Have you never had bear before? If there’s some here I’d be more than happy to let you try some! “ Now that was something Morgan could get behind! Introducing others to familiar tastes and the like! Although he did let out a bit of a sigh of relief at being reassured by Rin, scratching the back of his head rather awkwardly. 

“ Right.. my bad.. I just.. well, I’m just hoping this is nice enough! I mean, the first time eating here so it has to be all good, right? Well at least if you know it’ll be good.. but hearing that, I’ll do my best to find a bear vendor! And you’ll be incredibly pleased with how it is, I promise! “

     Interesting. She could never imagine herself living in such a way and part of her felt lucky for that. No, actually all of her did. She might not get the best food sometimes, but at least she did not need to hunt for her. Money and working for people is what made sure she didn’t need to run around looking for food. Rin cracked a smile at Morgan.

     “Never,”

     But she would not refuse the idea of it. If Morgan is alive, it would be worrying if she could talk to him right now if he wasn’t, then it would do her no harm to attempt it. Worst that can happen is that she finds it to be gross. Hopefully it didn’t need to be cooked perfectly too. Rin didn’t know if she could trust all the cooks in this city.

     “It looks as if it is popular enough. But if it’s horrible then we will just leave and tell them they won’t have a cent of our money.” Because no way if she going to waste money on gross food. “I do hope you will find a place,” Rin gave a nod with her head.

   “I never thought I’d /be/ here…” Well, considering she was a digital construct, the thought of her actually forging a life outside of the Moon Cell had been deemed a complete impossibility in her eyes. It was still so surreal, even if Hakuno herself carried questions about the true nature of this city’s existence.

   The AI supposed that Rin was referring to shared acquaintances when she asked whether or not Hakuno was alone. Most likely, she meant whether or not she had a Servant in her midst. “…Saber. She’s around somewhere.” Though that girl moved around at her own pace. “Also… Shinji. And two people that resemble the priest and Sakura-chan, but they aren’t them.” She paused, thinking for a moment. “What about you? I’m concerned - are you safe?”

     Rin titled her head and gave a hum. Honestly, the fact both of them and Servant she knew from their world being here surprised her a lot. But, hey, she isn't going to complain about it because so far it hasn't been a burden. It is something she would love to look into when she finally got  he chance to do so.

     How lucky for Hakuno to have her servant. They must have came around the same time as she had yet to see the blonde. No biggie. Shinji surprised her and Rin raised a brow. If she remembered correctly he was no more... Whatever. She isn't going to bother questioning it. Hive City is an odd place after all. "I remember the latter too. It's curious to see them here..." She really needed to try contact those two when she had the time.

     "Me?" The magus tilted her head slightly. "I am as safe as one can be here. So far I have been fortunate and gotten a couple of my codecasts returned so there is nothing to worry about." It's actually touching that Hakuno worried about her. Sure, it's not for friends to do so but Rin never really allowed herself to have friends.

     Bok Choy? Udon? Well.. uh.. he was pretty sure he picked all that sure. Once he had done ticked everything off, he would hand the sheet to the vendor with a heavy sigh. He was pretty sure he ordered good enough food and hopefully they would suit Rin’s tastes. Hopefully. While he waited for both the stock to boil and the food to come, he’d turn his head back towards the magus. 

“ To be quite honest, there were some meats that I wasn’t expecting to be on there as well as ones I was expecting that didn’t make the list. The stuff found in the waters was rather vast but it lacked bear meat. But then again I don’t think it’s something eaten often if thought about enough.. “ 

“ I just.. rarely get food much for other people and with something as new as this, I just want to make sure that what we’re getting is actually good! So.. ehe.. hopefully if we find bear meat here I can advocate for it! “

     Leaning back in her chair, Rin rested her hands in her lap and closed her eyes. It would be good to get something in her stomach and even more so food she has not been able to eat in a long while. Thankfully her stomach is calm or else it would be awkward if it dared to make those unladylike sounds. Pushing her brows together, the magus found herself surprised by what Morgan said.

     "Sorry, but did you say bear meat?" Honestly. It shouldn't surprise her too much given where he is from, but it still sounded so strange to her. Sure, it is s norm for some people and cultures but the thought of eating meat from a bear never crossed her mind. The fact he still worried is kind of cute. Kind of.

     Sighing, Rin shook her head. "Calm down and relax. This food I know is good and I am certain that you will enjoy it. ... Maybe one day we can look for a vendor that would sell the meat you are looking for. There are many different culture vendors around here so it should be a simple task." If not then, well, shame on the scientists for not including it.

   There had been plenty of familiar faces in this city thus far. Some she’d longer to see, like Saber, and others she’d feared ever meeting again, like Kiara Sesshouin. She much preferred meeting those in the latter category, and familiar brunette twintails were no exception to that preference.

   “…Tohsaka-san?” There was little point in denying this girl’s identity for Hakuno, whom had spent a great deal of time in her presence. They were friends, after all, and the AI thought the hacker among her closest.

    Tilting her head to the sound of her name, the voice quickly registered in her mind as one she knew and when Rin saw the owner of the choice it confirmed that fact. How interesting to see another person she knew here. For a long time she felt somewhat alone until recently.

     “I never thought I would see you here, Kishinami.” Rin’s tone is lacking that normal surprise that one would have when seeing someone they know. It isn’t that she is displeased with seeing one of her friends -- honestly, her only friend --. “Are you here alone?” She has to wonder if anyone else came, or any other Servant.

             「 ♔ 」 It seemed that her question was strange, though Scheherazade couldn’t figure out why. This phone device was obviously something that had never before been seen in Reim, in her world and surely, in other worlds. Perhaps it was ignorence on her part, but at the very least she felt it shouldn’t be an odd question to receive here. But, at the very least, the girl was trying to be of help, and the Magi greatly appreciated it. A mystery such as this one, to her at least, was something that made her curious.

              ❝Oh, thank you.❞ The phone was held in careful fingers, green eyes moving slowly over the screen before poking at it as she had seen the stranger do before. With her touch, the screen lit up and startled her somewhat— thankfully, Scheherazade was able to keep a hold on the device. On the home screen, many apps and figures floated here and there, confusing her further, but thankfully she could actually read the writing. Applications, on the other hand, meant nothing to her.

              For a few moments, she remained that way, poking here and there and tilting her head further and further until finally, the question directed at her met her ears and with a slight jump, the priestess moved her gaze back to the hacker.

              ❝My world? That would be… I suppose you could say it is not like this one in any way. The “technology” here, as I’ve heard it be called… we don’t have any of it. Television, computers, washing machines— I’ve heard these names and seen them in my home, but never before have I seen one back in Reim.❞ Pausing for a moment, a previous conversation came back to her. ❝Someone here once told me that my home was akin to a place called Rome in their world, if that means anything. Ancient Rome. The names sound similiar, at least.❞

    There are a lot of rude and impatient people in the world, Rin would be classed more in the latter, and sometimes those people would bully those who didn’t understand common knowledge. However, since her time from coming here, she did slowly come to accept that, hey, not everything is the same. It’s odd to get used to, but it’s not worth kicking a fuss up. Might as well be polite and give someone a helping hand which it comes to something new.

    “Don’t mention it and oh, don’t drop it either.”

    All the magus needs right now is a broken phone. Fixing it would be simple if it did break, but that required effort and she didn’t feel like wasting her time on that. It looks as if the blonde is being careful with it at least. A faint smile appeared on her face as she watched the girl play with the phone.

    It is a little amusing to see someone who had no idea what technology like this is to try figure it out. Not in the, ‘oh they’re so dumb’ way, but in a more innocent way. Making fun of others, even if she did come off as cold, isn’t really how Rin likes to function.

    Paying attention to the girls words, she slowly nodded her head. Rome, huh, and not the one she knows about now. The one for hundreds and hundreds of years ago that she could only learn from books or using the internet. Makes sense and it did help paint a picture for her.

   “I see. That’s actually really interesting. Well ... I don’t do this for just anyone,” and actually this is a first in Hive, “But if you need help with stuff I don’t mind giving you a hand. Just don’t ask a bunch of questions at once or get annoying.”

      Understanding it just a bit more thanks to Rin’s words, Morgan would glance at all of the options available, a tad flustered at just how much there was available to pick from when it came to both meat and vegetables. Not even that, sea food, noodles, rice.. as well as things that didn’t go into the pot as well. Some of the things he quite hadn’t heard of or didn’t know how good they would be. 

" A balance.. a balance.. well uh.. um.. OK I’ll start.. picking things out..? I do enjoy meat.. so I’ll go with the beef.. erm, oddly we haven’t.. had much lamb but I’ll try that I suppose and.. I’m told to eat my leafy greens so spinach is a must.. pumpkin might be interesting.. there’s never anything wrong with potatoes I suppose.. I don’t believe shrimp is ever bad..? " As he began to tick things off randomly, he’d keep muttering to himself before looking back towards Rin. 

" Erm.. would you like to tick things off? Truthfully speaking I’m only really choosing what SOUNDS good to eat, but.. my palette when it comes to these things is rather.. oblivious I would think. I’m just afraid of picking something you might not enjoy. "

     The magus kept her eyes on him and she sighed quietly. The way he acted and the way he spoke, both felt as if he is nervous or something like that. He had a good reason to be if that’s the case, it would be awkward to get something wrong in front of a stranger. But, Rin felt like there’s no reason.

     “Relax. I’ve gotten use to eating all sorts of food,” and thanks to her job, or former job, she could not afford to be picky with food. She would eat what she was given, sometimes being a tad bit demanding if they asked what she wanted. Rin worked hard and felt like she deserved to get a treat here and there. Humming in thought, she looked at the list.

     “Noodles are good too, hm, Udon sounds nice. Now let’ss see... bok choy and bean sprouts are a must for me. I’m not too fussy when it comes to the meat. Your choices are good enough for me,” Rin explained. She’s being mindful of how much to get, too, because it would be bad if they couldn’t finish it all.

[Touma couldn’t find a reply back to her since he knew it wasn’t right either since it had been his fault in the first place for blurting that out without thinking.]

Hey, ok I’m sorry I said that but it’s still too much no matter how you put it! Last time I had anything to do with those guys, they forced me to chose between two lives! I’m not going to put myself through their whims again!

[It hadn’t been a good experience for him since he didn’t know if the other person lived in the end or not and he could only hope they had survived by some miracle but that was the kind of shady guys they were and Touma couldn’t find it in him to go and put himself through some unreasonable request once again just to repay someone else for an accident that he could try to repay another way with less risk of involving someone else’s life.]

     "A gun,"

     Turning her head away, Rin sighed. "I doubt that will make you do something dangerous like that for such a low ranked weapon. If you won't get one from them then you can get one from someone else, right?" She isn't going to give up easily and now that she has revealed what she really wants, it should make it easier.

     Should. If he needs more of a push then she will give him one, too. "This place is dangerous, right? With all sorts of people around. I need a weapon to protect myself." And one that has very little limits. Bullets are nothing compared to having a timer on abilities or only being able to use them a handful of times a day.

     Familiar, this name would seem. While she cannot recall where exactly it is she has heard it, there is no doubt that the woman before her shares features similar to one in a distant memory she once visited. Whether or not this Master is the very same belonging to him, she is uncertain. There is no need to ponder on such things at the current moment, howsoever, knowing well there are other times to inquire of such curiosities within their inevitable capture.

     Blonde tresses sway gently with the nod of her head now that introductions are properly given, features remaining neutral though presenting an amiable nature, at the very least. ❝ It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance as well, Rin, ❞ she replies in turn, only then a thought coming to her as she tilts her head while continuing to speak.

     ❝ Have you had anything to eat before your arrival? If you would like, I can treat you to something as we speak. ❞

     Free food? What a wonderful idea! While Rin found herself to be the type that keeps to herself and many would say that she acts as if she is too proud to spend time with other people. She maintain a rather neutral expression as she does not want to come off as someone who would easily accept such an offer or a person that is desperate like that.

     It would no doubt help her save money seeing she wouldn't have to spend any. A gentle hum came from her throat as she acted like she is thinking about her answer. "Well..." She started and closed her eyes for a moment, tapping her lips.

     "It would be rude to turn down your offer and even more so when it had been some time since breakfast. If you do not mind then I will accept," a very tiny smile appeared for a few seconds. Today is turning into a rather pleasant day and that kept Rin in a rather positive mood.

   Yato should have known that it wouldn’t be this easy. He should have and yet.. well, let’s just say he didn’t even come to this plan prepared.

   “Yes….terday? You know, it’s pretty recent! I’m not surprised that you didn’t know about it!” Here’s to hoping she’s none the wiser.

     Hm... okay, that would make sense. She had not been here for a good while. Books and research sure like to keep her busy. It doesn’t help there are so many shops around here. But, the magus found herself become even more curious.

     “Then you should know the reason for it, right? I would love to hear it.” She wore a half-friendly smile.

    What did he think he was doing? Appearing, disappearing and reappearing again. Both times he didn't bother to track her down or look like finding her would be his main focus. Such a horrible servant. Even if the War isn't in Hive and she didn't have that much control over him now, you would think that he would look for his Master.

    A loud huff escaped her, arms crossing and chest rising down suddenly when the breath left her. Foot tapped on the ground as she leaned to the left and wore an unimpressed expression. Finding him hasn't been too hard, people that wear a bodysuit that is as bright as his happens to stick out like a sore thumb. Naturally he appeared to be missing his weapon. What a pain.

    "Lancer, what do you think you're doing?" Her tone of voice is stern and slightly cold, but if he pays close attention to her face he will see a faint smile flicker for a few seconds.

    While Rin does feel annoyed by his lack of worry and appearance, she does feel relief to have her Servant back where she can see him. Sure, she has her code casts to protect her but they have limits. They're not as secure as weapons which she lacks for the moment and that is something Cu should be able to get sooner than her.

     However...

     Something about him felt different, no, looked different. His clothing had changed. There’s no reason for that, is there? The man is a spirit and they have no need to change their clothes. Or maybe he had a reason, or perhaps the Scientist made him change? That would make sense, his clothes used to be very flashy beforehand. Whatever.

Oh! That sounded like a good idea. He turned to her, his eyes looking way too much like a hopeful puppy.  ”I-is that really fine with you? I wouldn’t mind at all!”

"Where are you headed to, anyway? I mean, I could bring you all the way to wherever you’re going, so it’s more convenient for you!" At that point, who got to keep the umbrella didn’t even cross his mind— he was glad for some kind of compromise.

He prattled on, “I mean, I’m only headed home now at this point— I don’t think I can get anywhere in this shape,” a weak laugh, “I live in the complex at Sector 1, but we could go to to wherever you need to go to first so you can get there faster!”

     He lived in sector one? How amusing and yet there is something comforting about finding that out. It did make her journey a lot easier when it came to going home. The magus quietly shook her head. “I don’t need to go anywhere, but home,” she started.

     Staying outside wouldn’t be very fun in this weather and surely many places would be packed thanks to it.

      “I actually live in the first sector myself which will make your trip a lot easier in that case.” It’s actually kind of him to offer to take her to wherever she wanted in this weather. Maybe it wouldn’t kill her to be nice to him in return...

     “Should we head off then?”

   “I know this is sudden, but this place now charges a five yen entrance fee! You’ll have to pay up or you can’t go in!” Of course, Yato actually has no connections to this place, but.. no one has to know that.

     Since when did they decide to charge an entry fee? Pushing her brows together, Rin placed her hand on her hip. It couldn't be that popular that it demanded one, could it? How strange to think about... although, five yen isn’t much but...
