Hayley was great, and that one time gave us our daughter, but I woul be crazy if I didn’t say that Aurora was better. She is the best night of my life for a reason.

Aurora knew that he was a man of many trades. A king to his kingdom of enemies and misfortune and she knew she shouldn’t be able to find it in herself to be angry with him. For taking this long but she was with Thomas, he had to have known she was with someone else for over a month. He was a man of possession, it begged the question if he ever wanted her at all. “I’m glad you have your family back, Nik. You deserve them.” Perhaps his family and their safety was all he needed. “Perhaps I’m of no use to you any longer..” She still hadn’t known what had to happen for her to get her memories back. She was afraid to ask.

Klaus frowned at her words, not understanding why she was saying that. “No use?” He scoffed. “Yes, I have a family, a daughter, you always knew that Hope will always come first, but I also have you.” He said, pausing for a second as he looked at her. “Or at least I had you.” He sighed heavily. “Why do you think I daggered Elijah after I promise my siblings I would never do that again? Daggering him was the only way I had to bring your memories back in a less intrusive way as it would’ve been if my sister had gone into your mind.” Klaus said, his voice calm all along. He stopped, his eyes searching her face for a moment. “Did you even know how your memories returned? Did you even consider that I daggered my brother?”

“You let me go…you let me go for over a month?” In all this she at least expected that Klaus would fight tirelessly for her. Especially if she was with who she thought for the whole time. “Why? Why didn’t you fight for me, Nik? Why’d you let him do that to me?” She wasn’t sure if she was talking about Thomas of Elijah, either applied. She fails to see his life outside of herself, to think she was his top priority, it was a fallacy she had yet to discover or accept. It will always be family before her, so many things he had to cater to before her and this time..she had to face that. Head on. 

“There was nothing I could’ve done.” He replied. “I couldn’t ask Freya to break Elijah’s compulsion inside your head and I couldn’t uncompel you. I fought in any way I could at the time. I tried to reason with your brother, with that hybrid, but neither was willing to get your memories back. And Elijah...” He scoffed, his anger towards his brother still very much alive even though he was now laying inside a coffin. “He fled town before I found out what he had done to you and by the time I found out where he was, Hayley had returned with Hope, at the same time Kai had returned to Mystic Falls.” Klaus hoped Aurora would remember what he had once told her, that his family came first, his daughter came first, Hope was his priority and she would always be. If his daughter was in the same town as the man who once hurt her, Klaus full attention was focused on Hope, and Hope alone. “I wish I could’ve fixed this sooner, but I couldn’t.”

After things had hit her, she quickly left her apartment and Thomas and went to find Klaus. She feared he would be far gone, that he would have moved on to more important things, more important people. That her time with Thomas would anger him to the point where he would no longer accept her. But she had to see him, she hasn’t really seen him since the day she was compelled. “Nik..” She calls, finding him in his art studio before asking him. “How long?” She just hopes someone will be honest with her.  @asevilasitgets

After daggering his brother, Klaus found himself at is art studio, painting Aurora’s face, the same paint he had hidden in New Orleans. He didn’t know if she would come to him, he didn’t know if she would want to see him at all after what his brother had done, it was a surprise to him when he heard her voice. Looking away from what he was doing, his eyes landing on Aurora. “A month and a few weeks.” He replied, putting his brushes away to give her his full attention. What Klaus really wanted to do was kiss her the second he saw her, but he didn’t want to do something she didn’t want.

With Hayley and Hope finally back to New Orleans, Klaus could finally breath again. He missed his daughter more than anything, but he knew that being in Mystic Falls was dangerous and being in the Bayou, surrounded by werewolves who saw Hope as part of their pack, was safer. With his daughter far from danger, he could finally focused on killing Kai and ending their problem once and for all, but first he had things unfinished business with his own brother.

Klaus wasn’t only known for being ruthless and cruel, or for being the Original Hybrid, he was also known for his paranoia and, although he wished he could mend things with his siblings, he kept one dagger for himself after giving the rest away. Elijah forgot that there were five daggers, not only three and even though the one that was supposed to be Klaus’ was lost, he still had the one used on Finn.

He called his older brother and waited with the dagger hidden away. Klaus heard when his brother walked into the mansion and the anger he now felt towards him grew stronger, the memory of how his brother took Aurora from him and used Hope as a poor excuse still fresh in his memories. He looked up from his hands when Elijah walked in.

“Why did you call me?”

Elijah’s voice only made Klaus angrier and he stood up from the couch to walk closer to his brother. 

“I called you here, brother, because I want to say something.” He said. “You’ve always called me a monster and you blamed Mikael, as I did, but Mikael wasn’t the only one to blame. It was your fault too.” He didn’t give room for Elijah to speak, ignoring the surprise face on his brother. “The first time you compelled Aurora, that first time turned me into what I am today, but you didn’t think about that, did you? You made me a monster, Elijah. So you can’t blame me for doing this.”

He finished as he grabbed the dagger hidden in his back pocket and stabbed his brother in the heart with it, watching as the veins started to show on Elijah’s face, knowing that they meant that Aurora would finally get her memories back.

Klaus grabbed his brother’s body and put it away inside of his coffin, to stay there until Klaus decided that it was time to bring Elijah back.

‘‘What did you do to piss off your parents? Cause they must have hated you.’‘ Dominic was beyond bold, even with faced with the deadliest of all vampires and werewolves combined. ‘’ You’re gonna kill me cause I’m telling you what your family told me?’’ If threats were being exchanged, he’d go ahead and repay the favour. ‘‘Kill me and I’ll come back because like you, right now, I’m not that easy to kill, not for good anyway.’’ 

“Whoever told you half of the story can fill in the blanks.” He replied, annoyed with DOminic’s curiosity. “I killed for far less than that. I assume my sister was the one who told you my family’s story, I would hope she would be smart enough to tell you that it’s not wise to mess with any of the Mikaelsons, specially me.” Klaus had almost no patience ever since Elijah’s problem and he was glad his daughter wasn’t at home when he was second away from killing the man in front of him. “Like me? I can’t be killed, you on the other hand. You’ll come back and I’ll just kill you again, each time more painful than the last, and by the time I’m done with you, you’ll be begging for death.”

“Your ego precedes you, love.” She teases placing her glass on the table before standing. “I must get home. My brother will be looking for me.”

“That was never a secret to anyone, love. It doesn’t mean it isn’t true.” He replied. Klaus didn’t want her to go, but she didn’t remember him and asking her to stay would seem weird for her. “It was my greatest pleasure, Aurora.” He held her hand, kissing it before smiling at her. “I hope I’ll have the chance to see you again soon.”

“I wouldn’t be surprise if I did. I’m not like most men.” He replied with a smirk of his own.

‘‘Heard your mother had a fetish about vampires, apparently her husband or your father wanted to kill his kids. I get children are annoying, but that’s taking it too far…’’ That was the idea of the story he’d been told. ‘’Anyway, so you all became vampires, one of you is a wolf-vampire. One of your brothers got bitten by a wolf and died and came back as a warlock…’‘ He was confused when Klaus asked which sister, given he only knew one. ‘‘Blonde one? You know, Freya? The one who slept for a hundred years cause her mother decided to not watch her with her crazy aunt. ’‘ Obliviously, he wasn’t going to leave yet, and perhaps was making himself in a much worse position with his words. ‘’If she’s not here then I’ll go.’’

Klaus rolled his eyes as Dominic started to say what he knew about his family’s story. “I’m the wolf-vampire, also known as hybrid. Which makes me twice stronger than any vampire out there.” And if the man knew anything about vampires and werewolves, he would know Klaus had a temper worse than his siblings’ and it wouldn’t be a good idea to anger him. “Oh, Freya. I should’ve known. I have two blonde sisters and Rebekah would've killed you by now.” He replied. “She’s not here. So now you can go before I kill you.”

‘‘I’m guessing you’re one of them?’’  He could only assume so. ‘’Well if you are your family really is full of freaks and I don’t like you.’’ If he was heard already, he was just going to say what he thought. ‘’Been told the whole story. It’s better than Twilight, but still…’’ Obliviously, he had no idea who he was speaking to right now, but nobody was here to tell him to keep quiet. ‘’Your sister around? She’s the only one I like really.’’

Klaus raised his eyebrows at the man. He either had a death wish or he had no idea who he was talking to. “I’m used to not being liked and I doubt you heard the whole story.” He replied. “You come into my house, you call my family freaks, you say you don’t like me and you honestly expect me to tell you where my sister, whichever sister you’re looking for, is?” He scoffed. “I advise you to leave while you still can.”
