Another Sunday, Another Funday.
Meet Tristan, A Shaolin martial arts instructor in San Francisco. He was taking part in a fashion show fundraiser for Pomeroy Recreation & Rehabilitation Center as a performer when he took a quick snack break outside during rehearsals.
He chose to make his two-piece martial arts uniform his own by pairing it up with thrifted vintage Feiyue sneakers. He likes the dark colors of the shoes and how comfortable they are during his performances. His denim jacket was his favorite choice of outerwear, it’s “cool, edgy and has style”’. When getting ready this morning he felt as though his uniform alone was boring but like his performances when he brings his individual style to the table it turns out really well.
Although he mostly thrifts the clothes he wears, he likes to buy statement pieces every once in a while at fast fashion retailers like Urban Outfitters.
“I like to be comfortable, and wear clothes I can easily move in. When I feel good, I am confident and that gives me a boost. I think my personal style is a bit boring but it works for me. I like pockets. Lots and lots and lots of pockets”.
Who would've thought? Martial arts meets fashion for a good cause.
