Ravenclaws...with FUR?
Odd…but okay

Are you inviting a prank on your house, or...?
Whoever thought it was funny to create a furry coat on younger Ravenclaws clearly has a sick sense of humour.
It’s one thing to prank someone when it’s all fun, but when it causes actual pain, that’s just never okay. Hurting someone else on purpose is not okay. Someone is responsible, and I will get whoever was behind it.
I'm in total agreement. To be frank, even the harmless pranks lack style, wit, and humor to the point where they're unoriginal and dull. These are just dangerous. Oh, don't worry Zane - I'm on it. I've been canvassing, and I think I may have a few leads..

Oh, trust me, Ash, they won’t get out of this one. Not on my watch. Whoever did this should know I’m out to get their stupid asses thrown out of this castle. For good.
Thank Merlin for small mercies, Zane. These pranks are spiralling out of control - burns and now fur? I'm sorry it was Ravenclaw though; I can't imagine the people involved actually did anything to deserve it... probably just some half wit's excuse for a good time.

They’re all up in the Hospital Wing now, and believe it or not, Madam Pomfrey is struggling to get rid of it all. And shaving it off doesn’t work either, as it only grows back. These pranks need to stop. It’s one thing to pull of a prank that is funny, but another when people are actually getting hurt. And regrowing fur isn’t exactly a pleasant feeling.
If anyone has any tips or ideas as to how to help these poor students, please report to the Hospital Wing immediately.
I don't have any tips, but I do have a resolution to make sure whoever did this doesn't see the end of the school year. I hope they're pleased with themselves, because I sense an expulsion in their future.
Great news!
Caden Bell, of course. She had no right to take them from me anyway, she’s claiming I threatened to hex her, but that was just talk I had with another student. I never threatened her, so it was very unfair to say the least.
So you're saying you did threaten to hex her, but you were simply saying so to another student? You must have been talking pretty loud for someone to over hear you, because points were indeed taken. The whole castle knows I'm not Caden's biggest fan, but threatening people isn't ever okay.
Great news!
Sorry, I lost it when a certain someone pissed me off. I’ll earn them back, promise.
Someone pissed you off so you lost 10 house points? What do you think will happen if we all get angry, Veronica? Earning them back is beside the point. Who was it, anyway?
Great news!
We've lost house points. Just what I like to hear after coming back from patrols.
Good morning everyone
Morning Aria! I heard rumor that pancakes were for breakfast today.. that definitely qualifies it as a good morning.
Is it just me or...
Is the castle in utter shambles? Looks like increased prefect patrols tonight.
Parts of the Whole || Nolan & Ash
Nolan could see that Ash looked hesitant, and he wondered how terrible he looked. The cuts had been healed, though the bruises were still evident, not to mention the general pallor of his skin. He hated that he looked like a mess – as it the memories weren’t bad enough. Nolan felt disgusting beneath his skin, and it was obvious that everyone else could see it, including Caden. Why hadn’t she said anything? Nolan knew it was because she loved him that she didn’t mention that he looked like shit, but it now weighed on him in the look in Ash’s eye. Her words were careful and whispered as she approached cautiously, as though Nolan were on his deathbed. “I wasn’t sleeping,” he said with a small smile. “Pomfrey’s got me drinking sleeping potions, but they taste horrible, so I’m going without.” He didn’t know how to put the girl at ease – things between them had always been easy and carefree and light, but now it felt strange. Nolan reached out with his good hand and clasped hers, feeling how cold her skin was. “What’s wrong?” he asked sincerely, studying her pale face in the dark. Had it been something he’d done? Was it he himself that scared her? Nolan hated the silence, and he felt saddened by the look she wore when glancing at him, and he would do anything to abate that. Nolan’s hand pulled Ash toward the bed and onto the edge of the mattress, where he made her sit, though she perched there nervously, like a bird about to take flight. “And don’t lie,” he added with a smile, “just spit it out.”
The moment that Nolan took her hand, Ash felt instantly more at ease. Her skin was cold and rippled with goosebumps, but Nolan’s hand was warm and comfortable as it took her own, and she loosened up slightly as he pulled her down to sit on the edge of the bed. Ash’s uncomfortable feelings swelled then began to ease the more Nolan spoke – perhaps it was simply the reality of what had happened to him settling in, and the thought that she’d almost lost him that made her uneasy. Nolan had always been one of her friends that she turned to in times of uneasiness; he was someone that she’d always trusted. When Nolan asked her straight what was bothering her, she gave a small sigh before producing her wand. Flicking it in a circular motion, she cast a muffliato spell so that Pomfrey wouldn’t overhear them and interrupt. “I’m just…” Ash looked down at Nolan’s hand resting innocently in her own before glancing up at him through the darkness. He didn’t look nearly half as bad now, though she was sure she’d never seen his face so pale. “I was just worried. And stressed, and everyone else is stressed about what happened and it’s just kind of gotten to me…”
Ash trailed off, feeling monumentally stupid as she spoke, and so she lapsed into silence. She wanted to tell Nolan that she was glad he was alright and alive and not so terribly broken as everyone in the halls was trying to make her believe. Ash also knew that she had to be strong in that moment; Nolan was the injured one, not her, and she couldn’t afford to break down on him. With that in mind, she steeled herself and smiled until she felt it become real. “It’s nothing,” she concluded with a nod. “So, how are you doing? You look pretty well for someone who…” Ash wasn’t sure what to say. “Who went through what you did.”
Things that don't make sense:
I completely understand! Even as a child, I would have been a little startled to eat a frog that moved. Even if it was chocolate!
Well, at least you are awake, right? Too much coffee is better than none and not being awake.
Hm, you are right. The fact that it's chocolate doesn't outweigh the fact that it's semi-alive. I think I might owl the company that makes chocolate frogs.
Another excellent point! But the question remains: what are you doing up so early, Miss Lockgard?
Things that don't make sense:
I’ve wondered that too since I’ve been here! It’s kind of disturbing to bite into a moving frog….
Precisely! Thank you! I thought it was just me. What is magic, really? We animate frogs made of chocolate for....? No purpose, Isabel! None! Sorry, I think I've had too much coffee..
Things that don't make sense:
Chocolate frogs.
Why charm them to jump from you when they're supposed to be food? And why make them jump, get dirty, and then fall still so that you can eat them - if it's just landed on the floor, I don't particularly want to eat it anymore.
Percy is out of action!
Alright alright, no need for the badger to bite. I was just saying. Sorry if I offended you Ma’am. It’s okay anyway, Ro is letting me use his. I’ll get out of your way shall I?
You unnecessarily complicated the entire affair, when really, the letter could have been sent in about a minute. I am glad you managed to use an owl to your satisfaction, though - Roland's a good kid. No, no, you're fine. I should be the one removing myself from society.
Percy is out of action!
Hey, I have nothing against owls. They’re my favourite animal! I just don’t think the ones in the Owlery have any special connection with anyone. It’s a logical observation Ash, don’t hold it against me.
Well I think you're wrong, Ott - the owls in the owlery don't need to have a special connection, because they're school owls, not pets. Honestly, all this fuss over who is going to send your letter! If it has wings and a brain, send the bloody thing and be done with it!
Parts of the Whole || Nolan & Ash
Nolan stared distastefully at the potion sitting on the table beside him. Madam Pomfrey had left it for him in the belief that he’d drink it before going to bed, as it would not only “relax” him, but put him straight to sleep. Nolan had been fooled the night before and drunk it straight – the taste was awful, and he really didn’t want to take it again. He pushed it away further, as though merely being close to it would contaminate him, and looked around the dark Hospital Wing. It was late, nearly midnight, and he was completely alone. Of course, Pomfrey was never too far, but he couldn’t see her light on anymore, meaning she’d probably gone to bed. Nolan felt restless – he wanted to do something. He wanted to walk, for one thing; he wanted to move from the bed and see things. It had been several days since the accident, and Nolan was ready to leave, even if he wasn’t completely healed yet. Pomfrey insisted that he remained static in bed, and while Nolan couldn’t move to argue, he was beginning to run out of dissatisfied sighs. The visits from his friends had been the only thing keeping him sane. Nolan shuffled restlessly, stilling numb from his waist down, and tried to settle into bed – perhaps sleep would come without the potion. Just as Nolan was feeling his heart slow down and his mind clear, he heard a slight shuffle and cracked open an eye to see Ash Kennedy standing there, looking a little bleary eyed. “Hello?” Nolan said, confusedly sitting up and smiling, pleased nonetheless. “What are you doing here?”
The hospital wing was quiet and still, and as Ash crept forward across the linoleum, she realized that she hadn’t prepared a course of action for the possibility that Nolan might be asleep. He was injured and probably exhausted, and it had been completely selfish to come in here and want to speak to him. But just as she had decided that she’d come back tomorrow, she heard his voice, and she looked over and saw him staring right at her, a wry smile on his face. Ash swallowed thickly and felt her throat tighten with emotion at the sight of him: he was not the same Nolan, not really. His face was healed of cuts and splinters, but he looked.. different. He looked like he had seen or experienced things which couldn’t be quantified and put into words, and that scared Ash – Nolan was always the optimistic boy who wore a smile and walked with a swagger in his step. To see him on a hospital bed, shattered in ways that weren’t completely physical, was unsettling, and she barely managed to give a nervous smile in return. Ash walked over to his bedside, seeing him much clearer in the darkness.
“I uh.. I wanted to see you,” she whispered through the dark, casting a nervous glance at Pomfrey’s door, terrified that the nurse would come bursting out at any moment and yell at Ash. “Were you asleep? I can come back tomorrow, it’s fine.” Ash truthfully wouldn’t mind coming back in the daylight, when things such as Nolan smiling at her across the dark expanse of the hospital wing sent shivers down her back, like he was a ghost teetering on the edge of death. She wanted to shake off the feeling of unease and stepped closer to Nolan, hoping to find some kind of reassurance from her friend.
