i've already discussed this here before, but Mei would 100% ride Vermithor, but the pairing makes far too much sense to me. There's something wonderfully contradictory about my girl being bonded to an enormous, angry dragon.

👑 — how would your oc rule if they sat the iron throne? what would their small council look like?

i think she would be a good ruler. she has ruled as regent for a time being during aether's reign and took an almost queenly rule when viserys was ill (considering her strong pull over him).

Hand of the Queen: Cedryk. In No Hymn, she picks him as her son's hand too, so it is not out of hand (pun intended) for her to choose him.

Grand Maester: Lysander Costayne (a recent oc I made an hotd one instead).

Master of Coin: Lorena Corbay

⏳ — if you had to place them in any other era of westeros, what would it be and why?

Mei yearns for a reign and time of peace, so the time period of akotsk comes first to mind. I think she would thrive in that era in all honesty. There are the Blackfyre Rebellion and its consequences looming over the heads of everyone, but no one is at constant fighting for the throne. Also, she is a lover of tourneys, and akotsk s1 revolves around it, so I think she would vibe there.

Now that I am thinking about it, she might be married off to Valarr in the same sense she was married to Aegon, aka the heirs, although this marriage def has more love to it than Meigon's.

Mei herself does not have magical abilities (atleast none that I have planned as of now), but she strongly believes in all things magical. For her, there is enough historical evidence for these tale to be through. Her beliefs are then cemented through Melarra's magical prophechy and dreams.

hehe this ask is so perfect for her considering i'm reworking her iron islands time to be citadel or oldtown based instead (due to plot points).

however, if she were to pursue an education at the citadel, she would forge a link of copper for history (obviously), a link of silver for medicine, and a link of valyrian steel signifying the higher mysteries.

THE SECOND FALCON QUEEN.

As queen, Alya Arryn leaned heavily on the image of her maiden house, a physical symbol of her own lines meteoric rise to power. She’d often dress in Arryn blues, and donned a crown of silver, even suiting herself a new set of personal arms— the falcon-and-moon on sky blue, with the addition of a silver diadem on the head of the falcon. She had not been the first Arryn queen, though she strived to make herself the most beloved one.

🎀 ; She keeps every secret she’s ever told, holding it close and never saying another word about it unless asked by the person it belongs to. There’s no malicious intent behind it, no ill will—she simply believes that if someone confides something in her, it should remain between them.

😨 ; Being left alone. She is very close with her elder sisters, Baela and Rhaena, and after the loss of their mother, she became even closer with them than before. They leaned on each other through the grief and were always there for a shoulder if they needed it. Nothing terrifies her more than the mere thought of losing them too.

🙃 ; She constantly counts to the number 3 in her head, no matter what she is doing—whether it be walking, sewing, dragonriding—it’s always a rhythm of one… two… three; she has never really understood why she does it and never bothered to dig deeper, only accepting it as a part of who she is and something she has to do.

Don't worry more is to come! I have a couple things I plan to post so don't worry. But I will explain who is all in this au and their time frame for those who dont know this au (especially since i never post about it).

Myrielle Lannister

Time period: Aenys/Maegors rein

Myrielle will be married to Maegor, their relationship is extremely abusive. To the point she takes longer to get ready cause her maids must cover all her bruises. She is the mother to Queen Alysanne and two other daughters. And just before and for the rest of the time after, Maegor's death she and Rhaena (the black bride) get together. Her story will explore abuse, how it affects those they "love" and how grooming mixed with abuse can break someone.

Lily Waters

Time period: King Jaehaerys Rein

Lily was the daughter of a whore and a lord from house Tully whom her mother was the confidant of. The night before Prince Aemon was to marry Lady Jocelyn Baratheon he went to a whore hosue and saw Lily. He knew he had to have her, he thought it would be one night. It wasn't, instead she became his mistress and all knew of her but didn't speak of her. Her story explores the life of a whore, how they looked down on even if they have no control of their fate. As well as a love that can not be.

Aelora Targaryen

Time period: King Jaehaerys/King Baelons rein

Aelora is the final child/daughter of King Jaehaerys and Queen Alysanne. She is a spoiled girl who has her father wrapped around her finger. Which is why when he was almost on his death bed he betrothed her and her brother Baelon together. He wanted her to have a place of power, to be protected, for her and Meraxes to not be used and abused by others and who else to trust than his son whom adored her as well. Her story will focus on love blooming in a political marriage as well as a spoiled girl having to learn responsibility. (Alsp yes Meraxes lives in this au cause I fucking said so!)

Visanna Targaryen

Time period: Baelons Rein (and maybe Viserys but also maybe not)

Visanna is the first child between King Baelon and Queen Aelora. She is the rider of Vermithor and is a wild spirited girl. She was betrothed to Ser Harwin, but after months of him having to protect Rhaenyra and them hardly sleeping together she decided to hunt him down she they could at least try to make an heir. But instead of finding him outside Rhaenyra's chambers, she finds him within them, as well as within her niece. After this she decides to go to Daemon, her older brother and tell him what happened. He purposes she have an affair of her own, and she agreed and kissed Daemon. Much to his welcomed surprise. Her story will explore how if a ruler actually had a back bone would react to Rhaenyra having bastards but also the complex relationships between targ siblings and gow affairs effect more than those within it.
