CH CH CHAAAANGES! Our Austin project went through quite the transformation. Starting with these custom doors. We took out the old door and sidelights and had these custom double doors made to make this entry feel more grand. To further update the house, we had new stair balusters and handrail made and added a new chandelier (not pictured). I love designing powder rooms- it’s one place where I feel like you can really go for it and add that extra design punch. 👊🏻 This one from our #kenwood2project is a stunner. Another shot of our Austin project! With a painting I did for their living room. 😎 y’all- my first love is painting (and really any sort of art I can create with my hands)…it is one of the few things that calms my mind and gets me to s l o w d o w n. It’s what I originally went to school for in college, and even went to Italy for painting classes after college. It got me my first job with an interior designer (looking at you @christis_shop! 😘). But when it comes to my art- I’ve always suffered from comparison and imposter syndrome. 🤯 So I really haven’t devoted much time to it, especially since my design business started to pick up. Anyways, lately I’ve been feeling burned out and in a bit of a creative rut, and someone pointed out that I haven’t made time to create anything with my own two hands in a looooong time. It felt amazing to create this painting for them. (Even just prepping the paper!)
