After the Storm - Tel Aviv under lockdown from Izhar Ashdot on Vimeo.
Tel Aviv seemed strange on Passover Eve. Contrary to the eve of Yom Kippur, when the cars stop running and kids fill the streets with their bikes and screams of joy, the streets just emptied and became silent. Moments before the full lockdown, I took my camera to the streets of my desolated neighbourhood. the song After the Storm, written by Alona Kimhi and myself, is the soundtrack of these images. Happy Holidays and stay safe.
Shot with Z-Cam E1, Crane_m gimbal, Lumix 7-14 lens. Edited with FCPX.

The Amazing Journey of my Doepfer A-110 from Izhar Ashdot on Vimeo.
The last installment of my series on meeting the makers of Eurorack at Superbooth 2017 in Berlin. I brought my out of tune Doepfer A-110 with me, in the hope of handing it to Dieter Doepfer personally to be tuned at the Doepfer factory.
Future Drums - Solenoid Grooves from Izhar Ashdot on Vimeo.
A sequence of drum grooves, played by three DIY selonoids, driven by the Bastl Selonoid Eurorack module, programmed on the Arturia Beatstep Pro and Bastl Little Nerd. The bass part comes from a Roland SH09, getting notes from a Turing Machine clocked from the BSP. Design and Programming: Izhar Ashdot, Assembly: Dudu Levi, Recording: Gal Cohen. In Memory of Jaki Liebezeit
A DIY Clock Divider Groove from Izhar Ashdot on Vimeo.
You can program drums without a sequencer or drum machine! A Clock Divider is a module that creates various divisions of the basic clock which is the beating heart of a modular synth system. My DIY Clock Divider is made from two cute little chips: The CD4040 which divides an incoming clock by 2,4,8,16,32, 64,128 etc. and the CD4022 which counts up to 8 and can be reseted after counting any number of steps, thus creating interesting divisions of 3,5,6,7. Each division is sent to a different drum module, altogether making a cool automatic groove.
Count Me In - 3 Hours in NYC from Izhar Ashdot on Vimeo.
At the end of my US tour I had a short afternoon in NYC before flying home. I bought a Mitakon 25mm/f0.95 lens for my E1 at B&H on 9th Avenue and headed north to Central Park, where some interesting things were happening. I edited this video on the plane, cut to my own music. Cinematography, Editinf and music by Izhar Ashdot

Z-Cam E1 & Zhiyun Crane M - 3 tests from Izhar Ashdot on Vimeo.
Who said that using a gimbal was simple? it certainly takes practice. I've been testing my lovely combination of the Z-Cam E1 camera and the Zhiyun Crane M gimbal and I'm slowly getting there. Here are three short sequences with different kinds of shots. Lumix 7-14mm and 14mm/2.5 lenses. Edited with FCPX 10.4 using Filmconvert. Music by me.
Z Camera E1 Test #2 - Before Sunset @1080P from Izhar Ashdot on Vimeo.

Z-Cam E1 1st Low Light Test from Izhar Ashdot on Vimeo.
I got my 200$ Z-Cam E1 M4/3 camera last night and did some low light shots at home. Edited with FCPX, minimal grading and a bit of NR on some extremely low light shots. I'm sure I'll get better results once I get more familiar with the camera settings. Lenses: Helios 44-2 58mm, Computar 25mm, Jupiter 37A 135mm. Auto ISO, 174.2º Shutter, Auto WB. Music by me.
