Character :
The Golden-Eyed Raven
The main character and the player. They woke up with no memories only to find their face etched on a bounty poster. With a staggering one million Gilders reward on their head, the Golden-Eyed Raven have become the most wanted criminal in Ashenwing. It was through a mysterious letter that they discovered they had been stealing the Hermit’s Treasure from nobles. Still, with them unable to recall their past, it’s impossible to know whether the letter speaks the truth or not.
Aeren
Gender : Male
A cocky and sarcastic mechanic who tried to turn you in for a quick buck, only to fumble it so badly, he ended up helping you instead. Aeren tends to be reckless and impulsive, yet so easily frustrated when things doesn’t go according to his half-assed plan. Despite his snarky attitude, he hides a gentle and protective side that reveals itself only to the people he trusted. Might seem harsh and stubborn at first glance, but surprisingly quick to give in, especially when John nags at him. He reluctantly chose to help you recover your memories after receiving a mysterious letter that promise him a reward each time you steal a Hermit’s Treasure.

Gender : Male
Aeren’s roommate who’s according to the man, has been freeloading in his place for months. A good and honest kid who loves to see the good things in everyone. He is also smart and knowledgeable, acts more mature for a kid his age, even more reliable than Aeren sometimes. He tends to overly cover himself, often seen wearing a mask, cap, and hoodie at the same time. The reason for this remains a mystery to you. Feeling indebted for your attempt in saving him, John decided to aid you in uncovering the truth behind your forgotten past.
Xuling Lin
Gender : Female
A totally-not-suspicious travelling merchant from Yulan Kingdom who sells herbal medicine in Ashenwing. A self-proclaimed number one simp fan of the Golden-Eyed Raven, she volunteers to lend you her hand in stealing the Hermit’s Treasure. She’s often seen with a smile most of the time and loves to speak with words that hovers between serious humor or playful truth, which makes it hard to tell what she’s really thinking. Despite calling herself as “nothing but a humble merchant”, she seems to know about the Hermit’s Treasure more than Ashenwing’s own citizen, making you question the real motive behind her help.
Ezell
Gender : Male
Height : 187 cm (6’1”)
A bounty hunter who goes by the alias “Railclaw”. Known as one of the greatest bounty hunter in Ashenwing, Ezell dedicated his time and effort in hunting you down. It seems that his motivation stems from something personal rather than professional duty. He comes across as cold, ruthless, and violent, with gaze so menacing, enough to make others tremble. But who knows, maybe that’s a side he reserves only for those he considers enemies. Just what exactly did you do in the past to earn you such animosity from him?

Height : Male (175 cm / 5’7”), Female (160 cm / 5’2”)
A person who appears every now and then in your dreams or when pieces of your memory return. You can’t remember who they are, but their presence evokes a deep sense of comfort within you. They’re warm and gentle, a bit playful at times, but has a tendency to become neurotic, especially when they overthink. Seems to have a very close connection to the Hermit’s Treasure.
Actually, before the upcoming update, I'm wondering who's going to foot the bill at the restaurant? MC is unemployed, Aeren is a spendthrift, and he doesn't have much money left from the last payment, and John is a child, so that leaves only Xuling…
That depends on who you take to the restaurant and whether you helped Xuling with managing her store. If you only go with Xuling + John, she'll offer to pay, but you have an option to pay it yourself if you got money from working at her store. If you only come with Aeren + John, Aeren will pay, but only if you order cheaper menu items. If you come with Aeren + Xuling + John, Aeren will pay for the cheap ones. If you want to order something more expensive, Xuling will step in and offer to pay while throwing a jab at Aeren's financial situation. Not wanting to lose, he'll offer to pay for the expensive meal as well. After that you can choose whether to let Aeren or Xuling pay for your meal or pay it yourself.
Will we ever find out what MC did in the past? They were certainly well-off thanks to ???, but maybe they had some kind of side hobby or job?
Yes, you will find out in the future chapters. MC's life with ??? wasn't exactly what most people consider normal, but you'll more or less still be able to define how their life with ??? was like through choices.

Chapter 2 has quite a lot of flashbacks with them (there are three in total). I think player's view of them will start to change after seeing those scenes, haha 😅.
Hypothetical situation where the Ros meet their older selves who's married to MC and with kids
How would they react ?
Aeren : He'd pretty much make fun of his older self for making such ridiculous decision, saying that he's ashamed of his older self and he'd never make that mistake. But older him would've known his younger self real feelings, so to tease him, he'd gloat about his happy life with MC, showing off all the things his younger self clearly crave for.
Xuling : She'd be in disbelief, both by the fact that MC accepts her and how peaceful and ordinary her life becomes, something that she never thought would be possible. She'd then ask her older self how she managed to win MC's heart, but she'd still be as secretive as ever, only giving vague advice like "Be yourself", or "Just let MC be the one who choose you", etc.
Ezell : Would be stunned by how happy and fulfilled his future life is. He'd also be so shocked to see his own self with happy, friendly smile, something he always struggle to do. If he's still on bad terms with MC, he'd be convinced that MC must've manipulated his older self, and become more determined to bring them behind bars to stop this future from happening. Despite that, he wouldn't be able to stop himself from smiling when he sees his future children and the family his older self has built.
??? : Even though they can't imagine themself with anyone else other than MC, seeing the future where the two of them built family together would still make them speechless. They'd pretty much wonder what their older self could've done to reach this outcome, might even start plotting a way to switch places with them. Their older self however, would pretty much see through them. They'd see them as a threat, bluntly telling them they know exactly what they're planning, and with them having years more experience, they could outsmart them easily. As a final warning, they'd also threaten they'd steal younger MC if they insist on trying anything weird.
How Aeren react to MC starting to lose interest in him after many times of getting "rejected" ?
At first he'd be so smug, wanting to show MC that winning him over isn't an easy feat. But when MC truly shows some signs that they've lost their interest, he'd panic. He'd come up with any excuse to be close to MC, to try to provoke them, tease them, and even subtly tempt them (like stretching casually in front of them, or striking a cool pose out of nowhere) hoping they'd find him irresistible again. When none of them work, that's when he'd finally snap. He'd confront MC, saying things like, "How can you lose interest so quick?!" or, "Were your feelings really that shallow?" before finally choose to be more honest, telling MC, "…Don't give up on me, you idiot." After that he'd run away from embarrassment and pretend the conversation never happened.

Sooooo, what does ??? know about MC that others ROs don't? I mean, according to your posts, they can heal MC's severed arm and any wounds they might get, while the rest of the ROs just go to the hospital hoping that they'll help MC..🤔

Okay so now I want to know everyone’s reaction to when MC wakes up from their coma.
Aeren : Would pretty much think he's just dreaming things at first, so to make sure it's real, he'd punch himself with his titanium arm. After that he'd burst into laughter and cry, not because of the pain, but because MC waking up from their coma had finally become reality. He'd then threaten MC to never fall into coma again or he'd punch their face to wake them up next time. Would then spend almost his whole day with MC, every day, almost to the point that he'd have no other life outside of them, at least until he's absolutely certain that MC wouldn't slip into coma again.
Xuling : Would fall on her knees, and all the emotion she had been holding back would come crashing down at once. She'd break into ugly sobs, her words barely coherent through her tears. Once she'd calmed down, she'd tell MC about how much she missed them, and that life finally feel worth living again now that they're back. After that she'd make sure to observe MC closely, staying up all night, constantly checking MC's biological response and reflex when they're asleep to reassure herself that they're just sleeping and not falling back into another coma.
Ezell : He'd break into a teary smile, and since he wouldn't want to overwhelm MC too much after they woke up, he'd just simply caress their face and whisper with cracked voice, "Welcome back". After that he'd devote himself to take care of MC, telling them everything that had happened while they're unconscious, and then apologize for avoiding their hospital room because he was too afraid to face the reality. He'd also feel very ashamed of himself, wondering that maybe, if he had spent more time by their bedside, MC would've woken up even sooner. When MC wants to go back to sleep, he'd panic, in fear of MC slipping back into coma. But since he knew they need rest, he wouldn't stop them, and instead spend his whole night awake and anxious, only calming down once MC wakes up again in the morning.
??? : The moment MC opens their eyes, they'd climb onto MC's bed and hug them tightly while crying. Then MC would notice some weird things in the room, like newly-built strange devices, or vials filled with suspicious fluids. And when asked, they'd be like, "Oh, I was going to put these into our bodies so that we could stay together in the next life. But since you're awake now, I don't have to do that anymore." They'd say it in such genuine happiness, too relieved by the situation that they wouldn't realize how horrifying the thing they'd just admitted was.
John : He'd jump to his feet and sprint out of the room, to tell everyone the good news. When he returned, he'd be gasping, completely out of breath, with everyone following behind him. Once things has settled down, he'd spend the entire day telling MC everything that had happened, although he'd sometimes stop mid-sentence, feeling a sudden realization he almost lost the chance to talk with MC like this again. But he'd shake his head and brush it aside, as MC finally back is what matters.
I'll put a CW for this ask just in case. It has to do with loss of a limb.
What if a playful MC lost an arm in the process of rescuing/protecting the ROs + John and MC's response is to smile through the pain and try and ease the tension about it? Like for Aeren it would be "Heh... At least we'll match now." and for the others something to the effect of "This? Tis but a flesh wound." Even though it's clear that the adrenaline is wearing off and they're starting to feel the pain.
Aeren : Would be absolutely furious, calling MC with every insult he can think of. After that he'd build a prosthetic for MC, using the same materials as his, but for some reason, their prosthetic would be much more stable, more refined, and equipped with more functions. When asked why, of course he wouldn't admit that it's because he made it for MC. Instead, he'd come up with an excuse like, "I just want to improve my skill" or "I just think this is a good chance to experiment new things". Seeing the prosthetic, John would tease MC and Aeren by giving the duo a nickname, "Since the two of you have matching titanium arms, we should call the two of you as 'Titties'! Because, you know, two titanium arms, so tit--", he'd freeze as he realizes how vulgar the name is and then curl himself into a ball from embarrassment.
Xuling : For once, she'd be quite angry at MC, scolding them not to treat this like a joke and at how reckless they were to throw themself in front of danger for someone like her. She'd immediately treat MC with first aid, wrapping the wound to stop the bleeding before carefully securing the severed arm. She'd try to calm herself down despite the grotesque sight, thinking, Ashenwing technology is pretty advance, so reattaching the arm should be possible, right? Once everything has settled and MC is taken to hospital, she'd pray for the arm to still be salvageable. Despite that, there's this small intrusive thought in her mind that wonder, If MC is forced to wear a prosthetic instead, would I be allowed to keep the severed arm? Maybe I could preserve it in formalin and treasure it forever…, but then she'd shake the thought away, worried that MC would be too creeped out by her wish.
Ezell : He'd give MC a harsh glare, scolding them by saying, "Don't you dare joke about this." The glare wouldn't last long though, as he'd grimace and feel overwhelming guilt at the sight of MC's severed arm. After that he'd do everything he can do to stop the bleeding, and make sure to cover all the expenses needed for MC treatment, whether that meant paying for the arm reattachment surgery or getting them the best prosthetic available. Once MC has recovered, he'd make them a promise, "To repay everything you've done for me, I'll be your second arm from now on."
???: Pretty much gasp in panic at the sight, not knowing what to do for a second, before calming down and start convincing both themself and MC, "It's okay. We can fix this later." Once everything has settled down, MC would wake up with a whole arm intact, as if the injury from before never happened.
John : Seeing the severed arm, he'd pass out on the spot, unable to handle the sight. When he wakes up later, he'd assume what happened was just a dream and sigh in relief, only to gasp and pass out again when he sees MC showing up with no arm. After that he'd feel super guilty about what happened and would do whatever he can to support MC. Once Aeren finished making MC a titanium prosthetic, the "Titties" nickname would come up again, and he'd apologize to MC profusely before curling himself into a ball.
Please don’t make MC be like Kratos – I don’t like him
Haha, don't worry Anon 😅, MC's personality will always depend on player's input, so you can make your MC to be the complete opposite of Kratos if you want. Realistically, Kratos' personality is quite hard to be implemented in TGER, since a huge part of his character is shaped by his past. The closest way to make MC acts kind of similar to him is by playing serious+bold+rational MC (although Kratos can be quite awkward sometimes) with high combat skill. Even then, MC wouldn't feel exactly like Kratos because they literally have a different experiences and background.

How would Ros plus john react to this scene with mc hearing their dead spouse singing and reaching for them?
Ahh, to hear that my game has become one of someone's favorites means so much to me! Thank you! 😭 And don't worry, you're not annoying at all. It's thanks to your asks that I started to dive deeper into Kratos character and as a result found some tips and trick I can use for writing, so I'm glad you're giving me these asks!
As to how the ROs would react.
Aeren : He'd quickly stop MC from getting closer to the light, pulling them back as the light is known to be quite tempting to people. When MC tells him they're hearing their dead spouse singing, he'd feel a bit awkward, not knowing what to respond as he's not the type who's good at comforting people. So he'd lead MC away from the light and jokingly say, "I know the singing must be amazing, but we all know it's better not to enter that thing, so let's go."
Xuling : Would stare at MC anxiously. She knows MC must be missing their dead spouse badly, so she feels like she doesn't have the right to stop them. She'd watch them, wondering if MC would reach out and enter the light to meet their spouse again, but she secretly hope MC wouldn't do that and choose to stay here with her. When MC chooses to turn away, she'd sigh in relief, feeling grateful that MC is slowly begin to heal from their grief.
Ezell : He'd stop MC immediately, worried of what the light might do to them. When MC says they're hearing their late spouse singing, the tension in his shoulder would soften a little, and then he'd suggest that maybe they can stay here for a while, so that can MC listen to the singing until they're ready to leave.
??? : They'd run and hug MC from behind, begging them not to step into the light, too afraid they'd be trapped inside. They also can't help but feel jealous seeing how MC's dead spouse can still affect MC this much, which gives them a harsh realization that if the spouse were still alive, MC would choose their spouse over them any day. When MC walks away from the light, they'd feel relieved, but also feel angry towards themself for thinking about their own comfort instead of trying to understand MC's grief.
John: Would run in panic and block their path, reminding MC about what the light of alfheim can do to a someone's mind. When MC tells him they're hearing their dead spouse, he'd falter, feeling a bit guilty for stopping MC from connecting to their loved one, but then he'd shake his head and firmly tell MC that MC's spouse has already found peace, and that the thing they can do to honor their spouse right now, is to move on and keep living.
From the most yearning to least : ??? > Xuling > Ezell >= Aeren
??? yearns for MC so much, it becomes obsession. At some point, they stopped caring about what label their relationship with MC is, whether it's friendship, partner, or soulmate, it doesn't matter as long as the two of them can stay together side by side.
Xuling comes next because she truly believes her future has no MC in it. She just want to make sure to cherish every moment they have together, getting herself involved in MC's life as much as she can in this limited time she has.
Ezell yearns quite deeply, especially once he starts getting to know MC. MC's presence brings so many changes in his life, allowing him to experience emotions he never thought he'd feel. MC would also occupy his mind very often. He'd space out occasionally (which on the outside looks like he's plotting someone's murder), but in reality he's just thinking about MC.
Aeren yearns as much as Ezell, but tries not to show it by acting indifferent, making fun of them (which sometimes goes a bit overboard), annoyed at every little things they do, or doing literally anything to hide his real feelings. But once MC is gone, he'd experience this intense withdrawal of wanting MC to hurry back and stay beside him again. His mood would brighten instantly when MC returns, although he'd use a pout to hide his smile.
Imagining MC giving a gentle kiss on the Ros foreheads. And John's forehead and cheek because he's baby
Aeren : Pretty much act like he's annoyed, but the truth is, forehead kisses are one of his weaknesses. If MC wants to kiss his forehead, he'd insist they only do it while he's sitting down or lying in bed, and to never do it without warning. Why? Because his knees would give out every time they do it. He doesn't want them to notice how shaky his legs become after the kiss, hence why odd, specific conditions.
Xuling : If MC kiss her forehead for the first time, she'd cry before she even realize it. That'd be the first time someone kiss her forehead after all. Once MC does it more often, she'd get better at holding back her tears, although every single kiss makes her feel like her soul is coming out from her body.
Ezell : It'd be a huge spoiler if I share his reaction here, so just wait until you get the chance to kiss his forehead for real in game, haha 🤣.
??? : They'd return the gesture, kissing MC's forehead with loud smooch noises. It might evolve into more kisses, with them kissing MC's cheek, nose, jaw, and neck because they can't help themself.
John : He'd complain and try to squirm away from the kiss, yelling things like, "I'm not a baby!" or "Stop treating me like a little kid!" He'd huff and run away with red face, too embarrassed by the affection.
So, a playful MC often does unpredictable things with varying degrees of strangeness. How will ROs react if a playful MC suddenly starts avoiding them because they're afraid of ruining their work or interfering with their work?
Aeren : He'd pretty much become suspicious of MC, as it'd feel like the calm before the storm. This unusual peace would disturb him, and he'd begin to constantly think about MC throughout the day, waiting for whatever prank they're planning, expecting them to suddenly jump out from the corner and sabotage his work. But then nothing of the sort happens, so he'd confront MC and ask them what are they playing this time. When MC tells him the truth that they're just afraid of ruining his work, he'd be genuinely touched, only for about two seconds, though, as he'd immediately accuse them that they're trying to lower his guard before pulling something weird. If MC insist that they really aren't planning anything, he'd then force them to stay obediently beside him during work, as a proof of their claim, he'd say. But it's pretty obvious he just want MC there.
Xuling : She'd quickly start to feel lonely as MC's presence always brighten her mood tremendously, even when they're being a menace. Without them around, she'd get bored more easily and might even treat her customer half-heartedly. She'd want MC to come back, but she can't possibly force them or ask them outright, so she'd come up with some excuse that can lure them to visit her store again, like saying she needs assistance since her hands have been sore lately, or that an imaginary customer is harassing her at work, literally creating any excuses she can think of to make MC stop avoiding her.
Ezell : He'd notice pretty quickly that MC has been avoiding him, especially when he's working. At first he'd assume that maybe MC couldn't handle seeing the way he deals with criminals, so he'd start capturing his target more carefully, using a more methodical and less violent method. Once he's gotten used to this new approach, he'd invite MC to accompany him again, reassuring them that he's changed how he works so they won't feel uncomfortable anymore. When MC admits that the violence isn't the problem here, that they're just trying not to disturb his work, he'd thank them for being so understanding, but then firmly tell them that they've never been a burden. If anything, their playful presence adds so much positivity in his gloomy, depressing routine, and he actually finds himself becoming more motivated whenever they're around.
??? : Would pretty much similar to the answer from this ask. Basically, they'd feel at peace at first, but become restless as MC's presence has become their source of comfort, even when they're causing chaos in their lab. They'd then beg MC to stay with them in the lab again while quietly hoping their unpredictability won't disturb them too much.
