The Second Life Is Worse.
Prologue.
This story is about a young man, a young man who meets an early ending to this life. And instead of moving on to the gates of heaven, he’s put through hell. My name is Christian Zilian, and I died at the age of 20.
Chapter 1: When Boy Meets Knife.
It was a Saturday, around 8p.m. Christian is hanging out with his friends at the mall , Nick , Janica , Travis , Luke & Mark , Ben , Shane , And his girlfriend Keomi. They’re eating together at the food court, and talking about some random subject as always.
“Dude Show us man “Luke said “I really want to see it!” He bounces up and down in his seat like and eager kid at the toy store.
“Gah, fine Luke “Christian responded “it’s in my car, I’ll be right back “He kisses Keomi on her forehead and begins to walk towards the parking garage.
“Hey, want one of us to follow?” Travis asks. Christian turns around and shakes his head.
“I’m good, “He said with a smile, and continued to walk away. He gets to the parking garage and walks in the direction of his car. He gets to his car and unlocks it and begins to look for the homemade knife he made at his Auto-body Shop.
“Ah, here it is,” he grabs it and gets out of the car and locks the door. The next sounds he heard scared and surprised him.
“Give me your wallet, keys , and that nice package “The mugger said. Christian is baffled.
“Excuse me?”Christian Asks. Christian gets in his stance, but does it very subtly.
“I said; give me your wallet, keys, and that nice package “He repeated. Christian nods and holds out the package. Christian doesn’t notice the mugger has a friend, and is creeping up behind him. The guy reaches out for the package and grabs it.” Now the keys boy “Christian takes out his keys and holds them out. The mugger reaches out to grab the keys but Christian steps forward and forward kicks the man in the chest, pushing him back and falls to the ground. The other mugger grabs Christian from the back, due to the mugger’s supreme height and muscle mass, Christian couldn’t get free. The mugger stuggles as he gets up, he looks down at the now open package revealing the contents a knife. “Why isn’t this pretty little knife “He said as he reaches down and picks it up? He goes ogles at it as he walks towards Christian.”Thanks for this man“ Christian couldn’t talk, because of the muggers friend had his fore arm digging into his throat. “That wasn’t nice, what you did.” he said as he pressed the knife to his chest “not very nice at all. But hey, I saw you earlier today with that cute little thing. I’ll be giving her a visit real soon” The mugger smiles, Christian’s eyes filled with rage. He spits at the mugger and knees him in the jaw. The mugger stubbles back but quickly move close to Christian and Stabs him in the stomach. “Not being nice again” Christian coughs vigorously, blood coming out of his mouth .But, he musters up enough strength to talk.
“Fuck you.” He said as blood dripped from his mouth. The mugger pulls out the knife and stabs him in the chest near his shoulder. Christian Screams in pain and thanks to that scream a military guy hears him and he investigates.
“Hey!” the military guy yelled as he ran to Christian’s aid “leave him alone!” The mugger let Christian go and run off. Christians face slams into the pavement, knocking him unconscious. “Hey kid?” The guy says as he elevates his head.” You alright? Wake up kid” Christians eyes open slightly.” there you go, I’m Xavier. What’s your name?” Christian coughs some more,
“Chris—Christian…” He says faintly.” Christian Zilian …”
“Alright Christian Zilian, I’m going to call the police and get you some help “Xavier said.
“N-no, my friends are waiting for me in the food court….” He tears up. “tell them first …Please” Xavier nods.
“ Okay kid , I’ll be back “ Xavier helps lean Christian up onto his car “ just wait here “ Xavier runs off to the entrance of the mall and heads for the food court and makes haste . He charges up the Escalator and moves quickly through the crowd till he reaches the food court, near taco bell. “Does anybody know Christian?” he looks around, and people look back at him like he was crazy “ Does anybody know a Christian Zilian ?!” The group hears the guy yelling.
“ You guys , that guy is asking if anyone knows Christian “ Nick Says . Nick raises his and waves it towards Xavier . He doesn’t notice.” Damn it , help guys “ Luke mark and Travis stand up and wave their arms too . Xavier notices the boys and runs to them. He reaches them.
“You guys are friends with Christian? Christian Zilian?”He asks.
“ Yes , is there a problem ?” Travis asks . Janica looks at Xavier’s hands and notices blood , she tugs on Nicks arm and whispers .
“Look at his hands “She whispered . Nick looks and his eyes grow wide . Xavier looks at the group .
“ My name is Xavier , and Christian was stabbed in the parking garage .” the group stands up quickly .
“ What!?” they yelled.
“ follow me ..” Xavier said sadly .the group follows him to the parking garage .they look at the blood on the ground .”Where did he go ?!” the group looks around They hear his car horn sound off , they run to the front seat of the car an open the door .
“ Chris?!” Travis yelled , He look at the others “ Call the Ambulance!” Keomi looked through the windshield and sees Christian , She sits down and leans against the pillar crying. Janica goes to Keomi and tries to comfort her. The group is in panic as the ambulance shows up , some cry , and some stay quiet in the back ground . “We’ll see you at the hospital buddy , you’ll be okay ..” Travis tries not to cry , so he can keep Christian calm . The ambulance pulls away , Marrahia drives right past it .
“ Wonder what happened?” She said. She notices Travis and the guys .“Dad , can you stop real quick .” he dad stops next to the group .” is everything okay , Travis? “ . Travis looks at her , with tears in his eyes .
“ Christian was stabbed..” He looked down . Marrahia Slowly rolled up the window and stayed quiet.
“Is everything alright Marrahia?” Tricia asked. She nodded and stayed quiet.
Christian Finally reaches the hospital and gets treated. Travis is the first to make it, the rest of his friends show up shortly after.
“How is he…” Janica asks. Travis stays still, staring at the ground.
“They give him a week or two…” He said faintly.” the knife he was stabbed with had rust on it , and now it’s in his blood stream”. Everybody stays quiet, only a few sob. The rest comfort the ones sobbing. The doctor walks out to the waiting room, and approaches the group.
“Well, he’s stable now. “ The Doctor said “but, the rust is spreading to fast throughout his body .I’m afraid the verdict Is still the same, I’m very sorry “he walks away .
“Can we see him?” Janica asked. The doctor turned back and nodded. Everybody walks into Christians room , Travis And Janica look away when they see him on life support. “Why did this happen ?” She glances up at Christian “ Who would do this ?” Nobody answers. They all stay close to him, And a few hours pass . The Twins And Janica Leave , Travis and Nick are going to stay the night .
“You okay Trav?” Nick asks . Travis looks up at him.
“When I find out who did this…” Travis Growled. Nick doesn’t respond , he gets up to use the phone .
Travis looks up at Christian .”Why didn’t you let me follow you?..” he begins to tear up .”I could have helped you , or I could have been the one to get stabbed.” Travis begins to cry silently. Moments later Travis’s phone begins to vibrate. He picks it up and opens the text. It’s From Chelsea
“How is child!..D: “ She Sent . As Travis is replying Christian begins to regain consciousness.
“ Trav-?” Christian Grumbles as he tries to clear his throat. Travis wipes his face and looks up with a smile .
“ Hey Man , how you feeling ?” Travis asked. Christian removed his oxygen mask and looked at him .
“Like a boss..” Christian said with a smile. He looked down at Travis’s hand .”W-who you texting ?”
“ Chellsea , she asked how are you .” Travis’s smile disappeared.
“Tell her I’m doing fine “ Christian responded “She’ll kill me if she knew I was dying “ he smirks again .
“You’re not dying!..” Travis protested .
“Travis , I heard the doctor talking to you.” He Said , “I’m not as scared as I thought , so please , just tell her I’m fine . “ Travis sighed heavily and texted what he was told . After He sent the text he looked at Christian .
“Do you need anything?”He asked . Christian shook his head .
“But , Could you get Keomi on the phone?”Christian asked. Travis nodded .”and , can you talk to her for me ? I would start crying if I heard her on the phone.”
“Okay then , What should I say?” Travis asked.
“Well..Say things that will make her smile , not cry .”Christian said . Travis stepped out of the room and tried to contact Keomi. Christian looks around .
“So this is how it feels like to be in a hospital.”Christian scoffed.”Wish it was under better circumstances, but hey, beggars aren’t choosers.” He continues to look around until he spots his phone on the nightstand next to him .“ there you are .” he grabs it and opens it , revealing multiple saddening texts. “Gaaah..” He goes to to create a new message.
“Hi Katchzen , How are you ? I’m doing okay , just ran into some trouble but don’t worry because I got this c: well , please text me soon. Have a great morning , and a great day at work .” he sends the text and sets his phone down .
Chapter 2 . Worse Part Of Dying ; Tearful Visits. It’s been a Week and five days since Christian was stabbed , He’s lasted longer than the doctors anticipated. But , he has slipped into a coma . Only a few have visited him . The Parkour Group comes around but not a lot , His Mother And Travis haven’t left his side . “Has anything changed?” Travis asked as he walked back into the room .
“ No..” Cynthia said. “ She lays her head back and sighs. Travis comes and sits next to Christians Mom , and rests his head on the bed. Christians room stays silent , like no one is even in there. But , Christians mind it’s buzzing with Shrieking and shouting .
“ Where Am I ?!” Christian Yelled as he looked at all the scared confused people. “Where are we?” One of the tormented people turned around .
“The cross roads ..” he said in a terrified tone . He points to the front of the crowd . Christian sees a large demon and a few lesser demons to the left , and a Group of Angels to the right .
“Cross roads…To heaven and hell ?” Christian Asked. The Tormented Soul nodded. For what felt like days of Screaming and pleading , Christian reached the front of the group. He sees The large demon grabbing and sweeping people into a cage , as the angels sort out those who are worthy .
“ No! Help! Their taking my little girl !” A Man starts screaming.” This has to be a mistake! Take Me To Hell , Not Her!” Tears flowing through his eyes as he sees the demon reach for her. He notices that Christian is the closest one to his daughter . “Please! Save her!” Christians face fills up with fear . “Save Her! I’m The Reason She’s Dead!” Christian looks at the little girl getting picked up by the large demon . Christian pushes his way to get to the girl , as one of the lesser demons try to stop him he shoves it down and takes its knife , and charges as at the larger demon.
“Let Her Go!! “ Christian yells as he leaps towards the demon, Bringing his arm back as far as it can go .
“Kalina!!!!” The father yells. The Demon turns his head as he hears the two men scream .
“ What-“ The demon said , but before he could finish Christian had stabbed him in the chest . “Aaaahh!! Argh!” The demon bellowed in pain and dropped the girl. Christian dropped down and picked up the girl , and runs her to the father . The lesser demons try to catch Christian and little Kalina , but the Angels Interfere an block off the demons with magic .
“Stay back!” One of the angels Ordered “ Or you’ll have the might of Gabriel rain down upon you !” The demon halted and shrieked at the angels.
“The Child belongs to me , Gabriel!” The Large Demon Bellowed as he pulled out the knife and walked towards them. The Angels Surround the child and Christian.
“I Said Stay back Belier!” Gabriel shouted as he drew his sword . “ The young girl is ours now .” The demon Growls and steps back . “ Wait , The father said he would trade. His life for hers . Christian Looks at the man .” Give him to me !” The Angels look at each other , they grab Kalina and Christian and step back . Belier walks forward and grabs the father by the leg an begins to drag him away .
“No , Help Me!” The Man Screamed . Christian and Kalina Struggle to save the father . “ No!!! Kalina!”
“Daddy! Let my Daddy Go!” Kalina screamed as tears poured from her eyes . The Angel winces from Kalina’s nails digging into his arm .
“ You’re Very lucky girl .” Belier said “ You too boy.” He walks back to his area , throwing the Father into the cage . Christian fell to his knees and looks at the girl . He begins to cry when he sees the girl screaming and still trying to get to her father .
“Daddy!” She finally gets loose from Gabriel’s grip , and darts for the cage .
“ Kalina , No!” Christian says as he jumps and grabs her, holding her tight. He feels the tear drops hit his shoulder . “You save him..” She looks down at him and slaps him
“Then you save him!..” Kalina demands as she continues to slap him . “ Why didn’t you save him ?!…You could have..” After a few more slaps, Kalina breaks down and weeps into Christians shoulder. He wraps his arms around her and lifts her up .
“I’m sorry , I won’t be able to bring him back..” Christian said as he holds back the tears . The Angels guide Christian down to the gate way to heaven . When he reaches the gate he sets Kalina down .
“What’s wrong?” She asked . He looked down at her.
“I’m not dead yet.” He responded “ I have to go back “ She tears up .
“So you’re leaving me?” Kalina says “ You’re just gonna leave me alone?” Christian kneeled down .
“Don’t worry , I’ll be back. “ he smiled “ I’m very sick back on earth . So don’t worry , I’ll be here soon .” She wipes her face and gives a little smirk .
“You promise?” She asks “ Promise me” He giggles and pokes her nose.
“ I Promise “ Christian says as he stands up “Go , you’ll be fine .” He begins to walk back down the path, but looks back and sees her walk through the gates . Back on earth , Christians body gave up , and had to be put on life support . Most of his friends came , but the ones he was counting on never showed up .
“I don’t know how much longer his body will last” The Doctor said to his friends and family .“ I don’t think he’ll last the night . I’m Deeply sorry.”
“No..that can’t be it…” Cynthia said . She grabs a hold of the doctor and pins him against the wall . Nick And Travis pull her away . “ You can’t … not this early!” She began to weep as she hugged Nick and Travis . Ben , Luke , Mark and Erwin leave the room.
“ Are you guys staying the night ?” Luke asked . Ben shook his head.
“ I am .” Erwin said . Luke nodded his head and looked down . 6 hours pass by , Ben & the Twins Went home . Erwin , Travis , Nick , And Christians Mother and sitting in the waiting room. No one speaks , hardly anybody looks at each other . Erwin gets up and walks towards the cafeteria .
“Does anybody want anything?” Erwin asks, they shake their heads.“ alright , I’ll be back” He begins to walk away . He tries to make it quick just in case something happened. About 5 minutes happened , and then the silence was broken by a peeping noises and Doctors and Nurses chattering . Travis looks up and notices that their running into Christians room .
“No!” Travis Gets up and runs towards the room , Nick And Cynthia are not far behind . They enter the room and see the doctors trying to resuscitate Christian. “No..Come on Christian”. Christians mother is on her knees crying,and nicks trying to comfort her . Christians body jolts from the defibrillator , but he is too far away to come back . Christian is back at the gates .
“ She said she would be waiting .” Christian looks around , sees all the people being reunited with their loved ones. “Hmmm.” He continues to look for her . It seems like he was looking for hours , so he finally turned away and began to walk away from the gates . “ guess its not time yet.” On earth his body starts to stabilize .
“Yes , you got this Christian!” Travis said “ Come back , Fight it.” His pulse begins to build up again . They begin to celebrate . “ You got this !” But as Christians Spirit was walking away , he heard a soft voice calling out his name .He turns back around to see who it is .
“Christian?” Said the soft voice “ Where Are You ?” He begins to walk back towards the gates , moving through the crowd . “ Come out Christian .” He Finally breaks from the crowd and sees a Beautiful young women , hazel hair and the Bluest eyes , lighter than the sky. “ There you are !” She smiles and runs to him . Christian is puzzled as the girl wraps her arms around him . “ I’ve missed you !” She places a kiss upon his cheek .
“D-do we know each other ?” Christian asks . She looks at him and lets go .
“You don’t remember me?” She asked . He shook his head . She stood there for a few seconds and then slapped him , repeatedly .
“Ouch!” Christian said as he winced . She finally stopped and looked at him . he stared right back at her , then he smiled .
“Kalina?!” Christian exclaimed . he hugged her tightly “ You grew up so fast , you’re so beautiful!” As the two were reunited they began to hold hands and walk towards the gates . As Christian Gets closer to the gates , his bodies pulse gets slower .
“Wait , No !” Travis says as he runs up to the bed . “ Get your ass back here!” He begins to give CPR to Christian . Christians mother runs out side of the hospital and cries outside , Nick follows to make sure she’s okay .
“Lets go Christian!” Kalina said . he laughed as they walked through the gates . He tears up as he sees what the world looks like in heaven . The gates slowly close behind them . Christians Body flat lines , and the doctors pull Travis away. Erwin comes back from the café and sees the commotion .
“What happened?!” Erwin asked as he runs up to Travis. Travis points at the bed . “No…he’s gone?” Travis nodded. Erwin steps out of the room and leans on the wall and slides down . He begins to softly cry as he hears a familiar voice.
“Hey Ninja~” Tasha Said as she walks towards him “ Hows Christian?” She looks at Erwin and her smile turns into a face full of Fear And Sorrow “ How is he , Erwin?” Erwin shakes his head . Tasha slowly sits next to Erwin and hugs him and they begin to softly cry.
“ Time Of Death , 11:28p.m. Thursday , May 2015.” The Doctor wrote down . They cover Christians body with a white sheet and escort his family out of the room, while his body is dead , his spirit is much alive .
“So, this is heaven?” Christian Asked as he looked around .
“No , This is just where we go to find our Individual heavens” Kalina responded .
“What do you mean Kalina?” He said as he continued to look at the vast mountains and fields or green lush grass.
“Heaven is where the heart lies silly.” She says “It’s always been where the heart lies. Shall I show you mine?” Christian nodded and began to follow her down a valley of flowers , he was still mesmerized about how beautiful everything was . But , He didn’t ignore the other beautiful thing that was right in front of him . She held out her hand, “ Close your eyes,” He closed his eyes and gently grasped her hand. A gentle wind passed through them , as if they were flying and as soon as it began it ended and all was silent. “ Okay, open ,” Christian slowly opens his eyes and sees a beautiful house , with a big red door .
“Where are we ?” Christian asked .
“My house ,” Kalina said. “ Hurry , He’s waiting .” She opens the door and wipes her feet .
“Wait , who’s waiting?” Christian is hesitant to go in , but sees the smile on her face .
“Hurry up .” Kalina said in a stern tone. Christian wipes the smile off his face and walks towards her.
“ So , why is this your heaven ?” he asks . She opens a door into the dining room , he follows behind her . He notices all the family pictures and a table full of food , Turkey , Cranberries , Stuffing .
“ It’s Thanksgiving , the last one I had with – “ Before she could finish , she was interrupted by a man’s voice .
“Kalina , is that you ?” Said the familiar voice, as he stepped into the room. “ Ah , I see you invited a friend,” The man said with a smile . She walks over and hugs and kisses him .
“ Daddy , this is Christian” Kalina says. Christian steps forward and shakes his hand .
“Hello sir” He says Nervously .
“ Christian , this is my father William.”
Chapter 3 , The Funeral .
It’s a week since Christian has passed away , the funeral and everything has been set up .The Parkour group pitched in to help Christians Mother pay for the funeral and burial . It’s a Thursday , 9 am , the Funeral starts at 10 am.
“Nick?” Travis asked as he walked into the back room of the church . “ Are you ready ?”
“ Yeah , I’m ready , just help me get this stuff on the stage?” He said as he picks up his guitar and amp . Travis brings out the pedal for the guitar . They walk out to the stage and begin to set the equipment up .
“ How many songs are you doing?” Travis asked .
“Two , I’m doing one song , and Marrahia is doing the other .”
“ What are the songs?”
“Forever and Always by Parachute , And Turning Pages By Sleeping At Last “
“Great choices , is Marrahia here yet ?”
“ I haven’t seen her yet , if she doesn’t show up then I’m going to have to find a replacement or sing it .” The two continue to converse as they set up the equipment as people start to come in and find their seats. The twins Mark and Luke walk in with Ben .
“They said we are placed in the front pews , with the family” Ben said . They begin to walk to their seats as they spot Travis and Nick .
“ Hey guys” They waved and continued working .Soon , Frank , Tasha , Erwin and the rest of his friends & family show up and sit where they are assigned . The Parkour Group And Other Friends are in the front as his family is behind them . Christians Mom walks up to the podium and adjusts the microphone .
“ Good Morning . If some of you are wondering why the seating this way , it’s because this is how Christian would have wanted it . His friends were more of his family , rather than his actual family.” The relatives all spoke among themselves but what Cynthia said was true , they all shunned Christian , didn’t believe that he would become something. “ But , we are not here to talk about negligence . We are here to say our last good byes to my son Christian Zilian .” Tears begin to roll down her cheek as she struggles to keep her voice from cracking . Nick walks up beside her to help her through the speech. “ He was always a good kid , never screamed , never cried because he didn’t get what he wanted . Hell , he didn’t even cry when he came out of my womb. Just stared at me with those beautiful blue eyes .” She broke down and turned to nick and spoke softly .” I-I can’t do it..” He hugs her.
“ I’ll take care of it , just go outside .” He Suggested . She walks away slowly , still crying . “I’m sorry , but as you can imagine she’s going through a lot right now . I don’t think its right that I finish her speech , so I will just go on with the ceremony.” He steps back and sits down on his stool, picks up his guitar and adjusts the microphone. “ Today I’m going to sing a song , that Christian was very fond of , and matches our situation. Its called “Forever and always by Parachute .” All his friends start to tear up as well as hold them back as Nick begins to strum his guitar . He begins to sing “ She’s sitting at the table , The hours getting later . He was supposed to be here , She’s sure he would have called .” As nick continues to sing , Travis goes out side to check on Cynthia .
“Are you okay?” Travis asked as he walked up behind her . She doesn’t say anything . “Mom?” He stands in front of her and looks at her .” Mom , are you okay?” She looks at him with anger and sorrow behind her eyes.
“ Am I okay?” She steps forward , “ Ask me again “ “ Are you okay?” he asked . She punches him dead in his chest . “Ask me again “ She hits him again “ Come on , ask me if i’m okay .” She hits him a few more times , tears streaming down her face.”Come on , ask me if i’m okay. If i’m okay with burying my 20 year old son…” She falls to her knees “ My 20 year old son..”She covers her face and begins to cry aloud . Travis kneels down and Hugs her . “Why him? Out of all the people to stab , why my boy?..” She grips Travis’s shirt and holds it tightly . He tries to comfort her .
“Mom , stand up . Come on . He wouldn’t want you like this “ he helps her up and hands her his hankie “ He’s dead , not gone .” she wipes her face . “ he’s probably watching this ceremony right now , sitting in the pews with his family . Wondering where you are.” he turns her around towards the church . “lets go sit with Christian” She nods and heads for the door .
“He’s waiting ..”She said . They open the door to hear Nick finishing up the song . As he’s singing , tears start to form in is eyes.
“She finishes the vows but, the beeps are getting to slow. His voice is almost to low . And , he said “I love you forever , forever and always . Please just remember even if I’m not there, That I’ll always love you . Forever and Always” He slowly stops strumming , and wipes his face . The crowd begins to clap . “Thank you , And we were supposed to have Marrahia Play a song on the piano . But it seems she’s not going to show up.” He stands up and and moves to the podium . “ But before we show you a video that one of our members have made for Christian , We would like all of you to come up and say your last goodbyes to him before we close the casket .” People begin to line up to say their final words to Christian , Some brought things to give him , others just said a small thing to them selves. Ben, Mark And Luke go up together .
“Hey Man , I Brought you the Super-man shirt ,” Luke Said with a little smile “Sorry I’ve kept it for so long .” He walks away , Mark Follows him .
“I’m sorry Christian , I Never told you .” Ben Said Softly “But , Iloveyou Man .” He sets a letter upon Christians chest and walks away . Next To go up was Tasha .
“H-hey My Lovely Blue-eyes , you look very handsome today “ She giggles as she tries not to cry “ I’m sorry I wasn’t able to see you when you were at the hospital , I tried my best. Just wish I could see your smile and those beautiful eyes again..”She leans down and Places her lips upon his cheek . As she pulls away , a tear falls where her lips were . Erwin helps her back to her seat . More tears were shed as his closer friends came up to say goodbye . Chellsea , Madelaine , even Rin came.
“Alright , may we all find our seats .” Nick said . “We are going to show the video now .” He flips open a laptop on the podium . “ may some one dim the lights?” Travis runs to the switch and does so . “ Thank you . This video was made by Frank Reyes” The video starts to play . The song “Don’t you worry child by Swedish house mafia”begins to play in the background .
“ Aha , just do it Chris” Frank Said in the video “ come on” The camera is facing a knee high wall in plaza DE espana
“Alright , I’ll do it” Christian says as he runs and vaults over the wall and lands with both hands straight up in the air “ Ha ha! I Did it !” it slows down as Christian Smiles and dances . Then transitions to another video .
“Don’t be scared” Nick says as he massages Christians neck.
“I’m Not scared , you’re making me nervous though” Christian said “ Move away from me Nikolia” They giggle as Christian receives his first tattoo. Mre video clips play , From his prom , graduation from high school and attending college. Even the crazy footage from his 20th birthday .Everybody shared laughter and tears , but no tear was shed in sadness . As the video comes to an end , a short speech begins to show up on the screen. And it reads “All though he died young , he lived his life to the fullest . He never turned down a chance to have fun , Illegal or not xD. You will be missed Christian , there’s no goodbyes , just love.” The words fade away and Christians pictures appears on the screen , below it reads “ 1994-2015”. Nick walks up on the stage as the video comes to an end , and Travis turns on the lights.
“Thank you Frank for that video , well done .” Nick said . “ If you could all stand , we are going to take Christian to his burial now .Everybody stands and as the Ball Bearers close and raise the coffin, slowly begin to walk as the lead Christians body to the hearse . As they walk outside everybody follows behind them , The slowly and gently slide the coffin into the hearse . Nick shuts the door and turns to everybody . “ If you are going to his burial , please get into your cars and be ready to follow the hearse . If not , then please have a safe drive home and thank you for attending his funeral . They All shake hands , hug , and depart .
“ That was a good service ,” Travis said . He starts the car and begins to follow the hearse .
“ Yeah it was,”Nick Responded . He looks out the window , then in the review on to check on Cynthia in the back . She remained quit and idol . It takes 20 minutes for them to get to the Cemetery, they chose to bury him on Nimitz Hill. They all gather around as the coffin is set on the platform.
“Gather around , please gather .” Said The Priest . “Christian , was a beloved son , and friend . And , he shall be welcomed with open arms in heaven . But, do not dwell on his passing , he will always be here in our hearts and minds. Although his body is gone , his spirit stays here with us .Forever and Always .” They all bowed their heads as the priest said a little prayer and a quote from the bible.
“Amen” They said as one. The priest nodded his head and they begun to lower Christians body into the grave . Last minute tears were shed as the began to cover the grave .
Its been 3 hours since the burial and Travis is still there, sitting.
“I’ll get them ..I promise Christian.” He took out his pocket knife , and held the blade tightly , and cut his hand . He held his hand above Christians grave . “ I promise , that they will pay for doing this. I’m making a blood oath , and I will not stop until it is fulfilled .”
Chapter 4 , The Arch Angel ,Azriel.
It’s been 6 years since Christian has passed on. His life in heaven has been great , but he hasn’t found his personal heaven yet. He has chosen a different path , one of an Arch angel . For 6 years he’s been trained and has fought by the side of his mentor , Michael , the eldest & strongest of the Arch Angels .
“Christian??” Michael Yelled as he landed on a fire engulfed plain . “Where are you ?” he looked up . Then he saw a break in the clouds as a figure streams down like a drop of rain , crashing into the ground. “And there he is ladies and gentle men, The Arch Angle Prodigy” Christian jumps up quickly and dusts himself off.
“Shut up , it would be a lot easier if I had wings,”Christian said as he walks towards him. “ Why give me the ability to fly if I have no wings?” he draws the two morning stars from his back .
“Well pass this test and you have your wings,”Michael said “But , may I ask where the rest of your armor is?” Christian looks down at himself , reviewing his Gauntlets that covered the entirety of his arms , and what looked like armored cargo pants &boots .
“I’m wearing it ?”
“What about your shirt?”
“I’ve never used one , you know this .”he walks towards the sound of battle “ now quit being judgmental , and show me who to pound into submission” Michael Smirks and runs in front of Christian. They run through fields of scattered bodies , both angel and demon. They stop at the edge of a cliff , over looking a monstrous battle .
“This shall be your final test Christian,help us turn the tide of this battle” He draws his sword “ These are the followers of Belier,”Christian looks at him .
“Followers? We killed him 3 years ago”Christian says “ Why does he still have followers if we cleaned out that Coven.” Michael shakes his head .
“Although a Coven and its master is destroyed , demons are still born under that sign. No matter the state of it .”
“I guess.” Christian cracks his neck and looks at the battle field. “ So who’s first ?”
“See that giant blue rock ?”
“Yeah”
“ It’s not a rock , its a Dark Gollum, Its leading this assault .” He taps Christians back “ Go get him “ Christian smirks and leaps from the hill , diving straight for the Dark Gollum. He places his Morning stars together and moves them to his side .
“Hey ugly!”Christian yelled . The creature looks up as Christian swings his Morning Stars as hard as he can , and Hits the creature ;Shattering him . Christian lands in a crater and looks up and Michael . “Is that it?” Little does he know the creature is regenerating right behind him . “What test goes down with one swing? I didn’t even break a sweat” He show boats , but in a split second he is sent flying into a rock formation by the Gollum.
“Puny Angel!” The Gollum Bellowed , He began to walk towards Christian. Christian breaks through the rubble .and glares at Michael .
“Oh,I forgot to tel you it regenerates,” Michael yelled with a smile on his face . Christian moves towards the Gollum and he charges ; Dual Morning Stars at the ready. He strikes with a left but the Gollum grabs the Morning Star and throws it .
“Aww, Damn it .” Christian yells as he looks at the Gollum. It towers over him and lifts its arms. “Oh come on–” He gets pumbled in to the ground. The towering Gollum keeps pounding Christian , forming a bigger crater each time. Through the dust and rubble Christian spots Michael.
“ Michael??”Christian yelled with an irritated tone. “A little help?!” Michael laughed as he lifted his hand “Don’t be an ass Michael!” A bolt of lightning shot out of his hand and hit the Gollum.The bolt was nothing but a distraction, the beast turned and snarled at Michael.
“I would pay attention to the little one if I were you.” Michael said with a wicked smirk. The beast turned around and saw that Christian wasn’t there . The Beast was baffled
“Where are you puny angel?!”Bellowed the Gollum.he turned around multiple times as he walked around to make sure the angel didn’t surprise him. Michael to wondered where Christian went , following the beasts movement carefully.
“ what do you think he’s looking for?” Christian said , hovering next to Michael.”you think they would put someone with more brains as a commander for an army” Michael laughed.
“Get down there before he runs away”, Christian nods and shoots towards the monster.
“Hey ugly!”, Christian shouted as he balled his fist , ready to connect with the beast. The Gollum turned quickly , but not quick enough. The ground shook as Christian connected with the giant ,sending the beast quite a ways back .Christian stands up and dusts himself off .
“That wasn’t so bad”,Christian picks up his morning stars.he looks up at Michael and Smiles.”I knew I could do-“, Before Christian could fist,”W-wait!” He laughed,” Maybe – maybe it could be a shower “The beast roared, he shot the fist high in the air , dropping it at an incredible speed. The impact was deafening, But The Gollum kept repeating this assault, in a matter of seconds you could hear the cries of pain come to a stop . The Gollum let the fist drop once more, Michael was horrified ,he couldn’t take his eyes of the carnage. But, he had to act , His student was in danger. His Brother is in danger.
“ Christian?!” Michael yelled as he flew towards him, but something stopped him .
“Static Arch!” Christian bellows as he slowly elevates from the rumble. His eyes lock onto the Gollum. Christians body is struck by a blue beam of lighting, shooting bolts all around the immediate area . Michael blocks his face from incoming streams of lighting .
“He mastered that element so easily,” He says . Christians body is engulfed in a blue electric aura . He slowly lifts his arms and points them towards the Gollum . “ He’s so calm , when they go in the Arch State they are usually restless”
“STATIC ARCH!” Christian Yells as Bolts of lighting shoot from his hands and strike the Gollum, It tries to with stand the blast . “ Incinerating Stream!” The streams of lighting turn to a Dark scarlet color , along with his eyes .
“ Is This All ?!” The Gollum bellowed “ So Much for an arch angel” The Beast Scoffs as he begins to slowly walk towards Christian. Michael is speechless about the situation . Christian Smirks as he sees the beast come closer .
“LETS GO!!” Christian releases all of his power into his Incinerating Stream, which slowly starts to burn away at the Gollum . “ Fall Before me like your master did!” The Gollum looks at his chest and sees it disintegrating. It bellows and begins to charge at him at a fast rate . Christian smirks as the beast gets very close , It attempts to strike at Christian But before he could land the blow . “ MASTER ARCH!” A Giant Thunderbolt shoots down from the sky , and destroying the Gollum , and half of the battle field . Michael is sent flying into a wall and Christian lies unconscious where he Floated as the Bolt came down .Moments go by as Michael Moves the rumble form him and looks around .
“Christian?” He flies towards the crater, “ Are you okay ? Christian ?” He sees the Ashes of the Gollum . Then glances alittle further from it and sees Christians arm under some ruble. Michael lands ontop of the rubble and begins to remove it from the young angel .” Talk to me Christian!” He pulls up Christian and dusts him off as he holds him , “ You did a great job, just dont die on me” As he continues to talk to him, he notices something very odd about Christian . He had Blue Glowing Marks All over his body , As if the Master Arch placed runes and spells all over the young angles body . “ What happened to you ?..” He continues to inspect the markings , but soon is interrupted by a familiar voice.
“ Lose your way Angel?” Belier Bellowed with a smirk . Michaels eyes grew wide as he set Christian down and turned to face him. “ Shocked to see me? Well , I am too” Belier Begins to walk around Michael . “ It seems after defeating my general with such a massive attack , it gave of an extreme amount of extra Mana. And , that mana found me” Belier Smiles.
“No , it can’t be” Michael Protested
“ But it can Michael, and I dont plan on leaving anytime soon”
“ I killed you once , I can do it again! Embrace the power of Light!” Michael draws his sword and lunges at the Demon . Belier does nothing as the sword penetrates his chest and is left there . “ It cannot be ? Crimson Arch!” Michael Shoots a blast through the sword , which engulfs the demon in heavenly fire .
“It tickles”Belier said mockingly . He grabs Michael and pulls out the sword , tossing it to the side. “ This time your little pet can’t save you” Christian slowly regains consiousness , he looks around an spots Belier squeezing his Master.
“Michael!!” Christian screamed as he tried to gather the strength to help him . Beleir laughs at the Angels struggle to help .
“Watch this little angel” Beleir said with a smile . The Demons eyes turn to a searing red as he opens his mouth .
“Let him go!” Christian continues yelling with tears streaming down his face “Michael , I’m sorry!” Michael looks over at Christian and smiles.
“It’s okay Ki-” Before Michael could finish , Hells fire poured from Beleirs mouth ;Engulfing the Angel.
“Noo!!” The markings on Christian began to glow “ You Bastard!” He tries getting up , but is way to weak . Belier tossing Michaels charred body in front of Christian.
“This is a warning young Angel.” He kneeled down and growled “ stay out of my Realm!” He fades away in fire. Christian crawls to Michaels body .
“You have to get up ..” Christian musters up enough strength to sit up , pulling Michaels body into his lap. “ Please Get Up !” His soft cries of pain turn into shouts of rage . “ Gabriel , Help Me!” He shouts into the heavens “ You have to help me , Michaels hurt!” A few moments of silence are broken by sounds of thunder coming towards the young angel . A Large bolt of lighting strikes near Christian , Its Gabriel and some of the Royal gaurds.
“Christian?!” Gabriel shout as he spots Christian. Its silent , Gabriel slowly walks up to him . “Christian, its okay.” He Kneels down and looks over his shoulder at Michael . “I’ll take care of him” Gabriel tries not to break down at the sight of his dead brother.
“ I-..I couldn’t save him” Christian said softly.
“ Gaurds , Get Christian to the Temple.” Gaurds carefully lift Christian up .
“ Easy does it My lord “ says one of the guards . A thunderbolt engulfs Christian and the gaurds, Taking them to the safe boundries of the white city .
