You know what? Let’s use the allowance example again to make it even clearer.

Let’s pretend we have an allowance tax bracket with a 70% tax on money received after a certain point. To keep things simple, we’ll make the limit $90.

If a kid does chores and earns $10 in allowance, they get $10. They’re not going to be affected by the 70% tax.

If a kid does chores and earns $50, they get $50. They also aren’t in the 70% tax bracket, even though they make five times as much money as the kid making $10.

If a kid does chores and earns $100 in allowance, then they’re in the allowance tax bracket with the 70% tax.

$100 minus $90 is $10. This is the part that’s going to be taxed 70%.

70% of $10 is $7.

So the kid getting $100 in allowance will have $93 after the 70% tax takes its share.

Now, I’d never impose such a thing on actual kids. All of this is a thought exercise.

But if it were real, the kid making $10 and the kid making $50 would probably be kind of mad if the kid getting $93 was bitching about being short $7.

Tumblr is really my only place to vent freely without worrying about kicking up unnecessary drama because no family follows me on here. Ignore this and scroll past it if you want but I needed a place to get my thoughts out...

This is intentionally vague.

There are some people in this world that think they are a take no shit kind of person when really they just use speaking their mind to bully people. If I calmly say what I feel and your automatic instinct is to attack me, that proves to me you are immature and incapable of an adult conversation. (Also yes I am an adult, I'm 24 with a job, I pay taxes and vote so yeah I'm entitled to an opinion.)

Dont come at someone for disrespect when you yourself disrespect everyone in your life to the point that they dont want to be around you. Then you also wonder why no one wants to deal with you.

I keep my mouth closed most of the time because I know it only adds fuel to the fire and doesnt solve anything. But I'm not going to sit by and watch you bully everyone I care about because you're jealous and insecure. I don't say that to be petty but to potentially justify your actions as coming from a place of hurt.

Instead of working on yourself you just push that hurt into other people and refuse to see the other side of anything.

I've never met anyone more self centered in my life. You cannot possibly fathom that I am working on building my life as an individual. This doesnt mean that I have chosen one family over my own. I am working on building my own family, that's kind of how life works. Loving more people doesnt mean I love anyone else less. Love is not a finite thing, it grows and it evolves, you can always make more when you need it.

Just because you're family doesnt mean you are entitled to unconditional love, if you're presence in my life brings more problems than good, I am allowed to not have anything to do with you. When all you do is spread negativity, that makes it really hard for the people who do love you to be around you.
