junie roscoe & roxie peterson.
This was the only wine bar Junie ever stepped foot into. It wasn’t that she disliked the places, wine just wasn’t usually her thing. But Ash’s place was so nice and Junie actually enjoyed going there, even if she felt slightly out of place.
She grinned as she made her way towards the bar, spotting Ashlee easily amidst the other bartenders. She waited by the end of the bar, turning to look out among the other patrons. Roxie was meant to be meeting them too. They’d wait for Ash to finish then they’d have their girls night.
Junie ordered a glass of rosé, grinning to herself. Her eyes caught her friends then and she gave a little wave, nodding her head towards an empty table and made her way over. She knew Roxie would probably go to the bar first and Ash could send her over there.
Slipping into her seat, sipping her drink, Junie relaxed as she waited for her friends.

girls night was by far a favorite in roxie’s diary. a chance to catch up with her girls, let her hair down a little, and just leave the stresses of running a business back in her office for the day. this wasn’t the time or the place to have those sorts of thoughts. there were no cares, when it came to girls night.
she was a girl on a mission: head to the bar, greet ashlee, acquire wine. a quick wave to junie as caught her eye was sufficient for roxie, especially since she’d be heading right over to that table as soon as she had a glass of cold pinot in her hand. “hey pretty lady!” she greeted to ashlee, blowing a quick kiss to her friend across the bar. “a glass of my usual, with a side of you joining us as soon as possible please.” she asked, grin wide on her face.
as soon as her drink was ready, she slid herself into the seat opposite junie, lifting her glass in a cheers motion. “to girls night?” she prompted, pushing the glasses together with a clink, before taking a long and, in her mind, a well deserved sip. “okay so dish, i’m going to need all of your gossip to get this night flowing.”
Ashlee definitely preferred to take the in between shift. It meant that she was done with work in time to actually enjoy her evening. And today that meant that she was spending it with Junie and Roxie. Yes, still at her work but on the other side of the bar this time around. The smile on her lips widened at the sight of her friends entering the wine bar. She definitely had had some warnings from her boss whenever her best friends had come over that she was too distracted but luckily enough for her it stayed with a warning.
Her gaze quickly moved to the clock displayed on her phone that was placed behind the bar and it showed that she only had a few more minutes to go. “Here you have a glass of your usual and your side will be served in around ten minutes,” she said with a chuckle to Roxie as she placed the glass of pinot in front of the woman on the bartop. She watched how her friend moved to the table where Junie had sat down and then continued on working for the last few minutes. As soon as possible she got a glass of wine for herself as well and joined the other two at the table. “Gossip? It sounds like I’ve arrived at just the right moment. Definitely need to hear more of that,” she agreed with the words she had Roxie just heard saying and sat down at an empty chair as well, her gaze locked on Junie.
