You deserve for someone to fall in love with the real you, and not the idea of you or your capability to love another. You have a heart of gold and people seem to take that as you being their “safety”. You are not a safe choice. You should be the one that has their own feelings considered, because God knows you consider other people’s feelings way before you would even think about yourself. You are to be loved wholeheartedly with a strong heart, and not the shattered remnants from a person’s previous heartbreak. Your love should not be your saviour, but rather the reward for a journey of commitment. You don’t deserve to be the rebound, you deserve to be the reward.
