As my final act of love
And for my last act of love,
I will never reach out to you again.
I won’t text. I won’t call. I won’t try to see how you’re doing or wonder if you still think of me. I’ll stop hoping for a message that will never come. Instead, I’ll learn to sit with the silence and make peace with your absence.
I’ve loved. I’ve tried. And now, I choose to let go.
Because I see that letting go is also love. It gives both of us the chance to heal and to grow on our own. So my last act of love is to let you go completely. That’s the only way I can set myself free.
And one day, when I look back, I’ll realize that my last act of love wasn’t just for you—it was for me, for the part of me that deserves a new beginning.
