If you ever want to be sad, you can go read Alex’s text messages from before True Colors where in most of them she is attempting to find places to stay to avoid her foster homes/ group homes. It’s heavily implied that her powers have influenced her to have sex when she didn’t actually want to which then led to that dude trying to trade more sex for letting her stay over 🙃

Alex Chen has a really dark background and I swear people just ignore it. Like True Colors isn’t as dark as LiS but it is DARK at times.
