Parakeet, Matthew, also nicknamed Matt.

Matt was raised by a little old lady, along with other parakeets. Matt, being the oh-so-clever bird he is, found out how to unlock and escape from his cage, which lead to him getting lost and then eventually found by the rescue shelter. When he was first brought in, despite his fears of the great horned owl, he got along well with the other birds. Soon he came across a large mirror attached to the wall, and when he looked into it for the first time, he became mesmerized by his own beauty.

Great Horned Owl, Tord.

Tord was born as a wild bird. Driven by his predatory instincts, he stumbled upon an opening into the rescue shelter, which eventually lead to his staying there after being seen getting along with the other birds. Like Edd, he’d taken an interest in watching the television, but as a night owl, he usually caught the stranger night channels. Also, he’s frequently drawn to the shotgun on the wall, but he hasn’t figured out how to use it yet.

African Grey Parrot, Thomas, also nicknamed Tom.

Tom had been born and quickly shipped out for delivery to his new owners. However, a problem with the shipment caused him to eventually wind up having to be taken in by the rescue shelter. At first the two caretakers faced difficulty taking care of him with his damaged psyche, but putting him with Edd made him grow some social skills to a point so he wasn’t lonely. The owners keep their bass kept up against a wall, and Tom, wondering what it was, plucked the strings and found that it was music to his ears. So, instead of talking so much as most african grey parrots would, he likes to express himself through ‘his’ bass.

Green-cheeked Conure, Edward, also nicknamed Edd.

Edd was the first born in at a pet store. Later on, when he was taken into the rescue shelter, there was no other birds there, but he was well treated by the two caretakers living there. When the caretakers weren’t around, Edd would sometimes take control of the remote left sitting on the couch and learned to watch the television. Edd’s curiosity also extends to soda cans, but he has yet to have a taste of that sweet, sweet cola.
